"You didnt like me but you were good at your job" LOL REAL
Everyone on Facebook is looking for that teacher.😁
At least she was good at her job I had teachers that did not like me and they did not give 100%
I'm gonna say that at my high school graduation speech 🤣
@@13dma1rz Too bad cuz that's not Billie's voice teacher. She didn't even mention him. Nice.
@@stevedania When you win an Oscar and are up on stage, on live TV, we'll see if you remember to thank everyone, even your voice teacher, who you meant to say Thank You to. Good luck!
Billie Eilish is only 22 and already has 2 Oscars, congrats to both Billie and Finneas.
I love that a brother and sister duo continue to slay the world of music. It’s truly inspiring.
It’s called talent🤞🤞
They also have Grammys. Tony and Emmy and shell be an egot
2 Oscars and 9 Grammys.
Forgive me but what was the first for?
This makes Finneas O'Connell the first ever man to win 2 Oscars before age 30 (he's 26), while his sister Billie Eilish becomes the youngest ever 2-time winner at age 22. They are also only the 3rd and 4th people to pull off 2 wins before 30 in any category overall (after 2-time Best Actress winners Luise Rainer and Jodie Foster).
Hilary Swank is a close one too, I think she would have been 31 during her 2005 win.
waittttt finneas is 26?? 👀 i just turned 25 where he at omg
And first brother and sister too!!🎉🎉🎉
@@kellydanielle0214 Technically yes and no. In terms of siblings winning the same category together, yes. However, there is the brother-sister team of Douglas Shearer (sound mixer) and actress Norma Shearer, both of whom won their first Oscars for Sound Recording and Lead Actress respectively in the same year. Both of them won at the 3rd Academy Awards held in 1930.
Brother and sister Lionel and Ethel Barrymore won Oscars for Lead Actor and Supporting Actress respectively although in different years. These 2 are the great uncle and great aunt respectively of Drew Barrymore.
Also probably the only people who have 100% record of winning whenever they were nominated?
The way they interacted with each other, that special bond between brothers and sisters, it's precious. I'm in tears.
RIGHT!!! I love them!
Billie had the most Gen Z reaction to winning an Oscar and she deserves every bit of this.
Her brother deserves it as well imo. I feel like he doesn't get enough love for all the hard work he puts in with creating and producing Billie's songs. I'm glad he was up on stage with her for this moment.
@@Karlach_ He ALWAYS gets the proper credit he deserves and is always on the stage whenever they win an award.
@@GreekislandssAnd what are you, old and out of touch?
I think that’s cause it’s her main fan base. I don’t think a lot of millennials know her work.
he gets A LOT of praise. Have you seen the videos on UA-cam of him his work and people praising him. You have to remember Billie is a separate artist even tho she's with her brother. Shes the personality and the brand and he lets her be that. @@Karlach_
“you didn’t like me but you were good at your job” 😭😭
😂😂😂😂😂
Kind of a compliment?
The teacher adored her. She pushed her to do more because she saw what was there. That does translate for a kid to “Doesn’t like me,” but that teacher is sobbing with joy somewhere. My opinion but I’m positive🙂
@@carolynt.4455 Doubt it. That's not her voice teacher.
@@carolynt.4455nope. It’s very easy for kids to tell when their teachers don’t like them lmao, similar to parents. I knew my mom didn’t like me wayyy before she ever said anything, same with my teachers. It’s behavior, body language, and tone.
I love that they do this together still. I hope they always have that.
It worked for the Carpenters.
And to think when they wrote this song they were having writer's block and Billie felt like she had peaked in her career. What an amazing talented duo they are. Imagine writing critically-acclaimed smash hits with your brother/sister. That's so cool
They said they had writers block yet Billie said a new album is coming. Maybe that was after they wrote this one. Her last album was awesome and I went to her show and I cried once during one of her sad songs. Her voice has that effect.
@@jennydeyoung8329 she said it during a songwriter’s round table that she had writer’s block with both this song and the new album, like just having trouble generating good ideas in general. But this song helped her get lots of inspo
This wasn't just a song -- it's something that struck such a deep cord in so many. truly a masterpiece
Very true.
Ariana, Cynthia, and Billie all interacting like that had me screaming, "WOMEN SUPPORTING WOMEN!" I love it.
The way Ariana and Cynthia hug Billie and Fin are like two proud aunts, I love them all together 💞
Shot out to Mrs. T you pushed her clearly enough to get a nice nasty thanks on the Oscar’s!
lol That was a compliment. You dont have to be nice to be effective.
Mrs T! You were the teacher we are all grateful for. My 5th grade teacher I felt didnt like me but that lady pushed me and gave me discipline I am not thankful for. So Mrs. T great job!
This one and Cillian made me the happiest of the night, because their work comes straight from heart and soul, not from ego or need for fame. I want to thank the academy myself for such a fine decision ☺️
Had Barbie not won a single award, the academy would have been ashamed.
Billie Eilish is still as real and down to earth as ever with 2 Oscars and 9 Grammys so far by age 22.
This actually made me tear up. So incredibly well deserved! This song puts you through the motions. It embodies what we all feel at some point in life and is written and performed perfectly.
Thank you Margot and Greta for making such a brilliant movie and for Billie and Finneas for making the perfect song to encapsulate the movie.
Barbie meant a lot to so many people all around the world. There’s a reason it did so well and made 1.5 billion at the box office.
So, awards or not, the impact Barbie made is unmatched. And this song is unmatched ❤
finneas really made billie eilish one of the biggest pop stars of this new generation. amazing duo, they have come so far so proud of them
Facts. I love them as a duo.Their parents nurtured them and their talents very well.
She is The Talent and he should be thanking her. She could easily go out on her own or find a new piano player
@@bellavita4048 finneas literally produces and writes with her, and has been doing that since she was 14. they both have each other to thank trust me lol
@@angelaolen1299 Yes I'm aware of what he does and I didn't like how this commenter was giving him full credit. She has enough money to produce her own work and how much does he really write?? He is more of emotional support and like all of the great women performers she will gain confidence and perform on her own some day
@@bellavita4048 they both deserve equal credit
This speech was so touching ❤. Her thanking Zoe for playing Barbie dolls with her, thanking her choir, her teachers including the one that didn’t like Billie. When she thanked Greta she looked so supremely grateful, her face definitely told me “I owe you everything girl”. I’m so proud of them, they came such a long way. You can tell that winning their first Oscar was moment they wanted to live in because it wasn’t even in their thought that they would get nominated and win again, and with it happening just 2 short years later, shows how surreal it is. Billie getting all teary is poignant. I’m so proud of them, it’s incredible. They just made history as the first to win ‘The triple crown of Oscar, golden globe, & Grammys in the same year’ 2x & Billie is the youngest artist to win an Oscar 2x. Congratulations To both Billie & Finneas❤
Billie taking Finneas' hand as they walked on the stage is so sweet
Finneas is a brilliant songwriter and mixer. He has a knack for theatricality, but he's both sensitive unsentimental--it's an outstanding combo. With his sister's perfect voice, songwriting collaboration, and heart-inspired interpretations, they are off the chart.
Excellent. She has a lot to do with the tempo and style of the song. The tone was spot on.
Billie & Finneas are a breath of fresh air in the music industry!! So talented & humble!!!
billie has meant so much to me since i was in middle school. then came this song and it's become i hold close to my heart. then the Barbie movie came. I was going through it leading up to the release of Barbie. when it came out, I went to the movies alone and cried and cried and cried. everything about this means so so so much to me. it's a feeling i can't describe, but i can say that i feel seen and not alone in this world. ah, thank you billie for being with me since middle school. thank you finneas. thank you greta for the movie. margot and the whole team behind the Barbie movie. you all did a very good job of captivating that undescribable feeling. thank you
Billie and finneas are an incredible collaboration team, brother and sister,
They make wonderful music. And they deserve their recognition.
Music truly is beautiful, the way it can touch your heart and soul, how it gives feeling to the story of the lyrics.
It creates memories and when heard brings up memories.
I trust the taste of people like you
Ok so im very intense right? And when Barbie came out I had just come back home after a divorce, which happened because my marriage had the impacts of cancer (i had hodgkins lymphoma) and my mother died while I was on treatment. I lost my job, we lost our apartment too, our cat died and many things lead me into an existential crisis that I bottled up because I had to do what I had to do to survive. Then my marriage was over and I had lost everything. I went to watch the movie with my best friend and when this song came up and I paid attention to the lyrics it just hit me... it was powerful, it was meaningful just as much as the movie. I love Billie.
SO very much deserved-they have two of the most brilliant minds that have ever “made it” in the music industry. It’s incredibly fascinating to watch their process…and the way that they support each other and are both still so incredibly grounded (I know SO much of that has to do with how their parents raised them!) So cool to see them sitting right next to their kiddos at the Oscars!
And I freaking love that they’ve brought the ‘rents on tour with them from the beginning….you don’t hear of that happening with other artists…That family dynamic is so unique and really heartwarming in how much they love each other-a standout example to me is how their parents slept in the living room in the house they grew up in (which was only a 2 bedroom), so that both Finneas and Billie could have spaces of their own🥹.
Both sibs have synesthesia, which will forever fascinate me (they see certain notes/sounds as colors, etc) which I definitely think sets their music apart from the norm. If you watch the documentary (methinks it’s available on UA-cam), it’s incredible to watch Finneas on the computer creating, as they bounce ideas off of each other like it ain’t no thang. But it’s straight up magical🙌
Oh how interesting, re synesthesia. Taylor Swift has said she does, also. I'll look for the O'Connor documentary. Thanks for the pointer.
She is just killing it right now.
Stop spreading misinformation she is not a serial killer
its so crazy that shes only 22. congrats billie and finneas, they are so deserving of this. beautiful song!
this song is incredible. happy it won a grammy and an oscar
so happy this song won! such a beautiful well written song 🫶🏼
She did it again
Love this song so much!! If I could pick a singing voice to have, it would Billie’s. So beautiful!!
bro and sis becoming legends right before our eyes
Well deserved and recognized. This is true art that will live for ever.
I loved how they just start thanking so many different people and made their moment their own.
Congratulations on the many awards this year. I am very happy for you. 🎉
She has such LOVELY, genuine energy 🤭. Pure grace, class, and talent!
This song definitely deserved to win! It's so emotional and beautiful and it makes me tear up everytime I hear it!!! What an amazing sister and brother team!!
2 awards already wow
Paul Walker shout-out respect
Billie!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
So happy for them both. Congratulations.👍
A completely deserving win for a Best Original Song. Most winners aren’t even memorable. This song elevated the movie & was great in itself. Congratulations!
The two of them are such an incredible pair. I love how Finneas always supports Billie when she’s nervous and excited. They deserve all the accolades and awards for their amazing brilliance. Congratulations!
She’s so beautiful. Congrats and deserved.
1st time since 1998 the same individual or individuals winning the Song of the Year Grammy Award and Best Original Song Oscar Award in the same year.
100% deserved, so amazing to see how far she’s come!
Congratulations to the both of you. Well deserved💞
This fucking song gets me all choked up every time. Damnit.
I love this song from Barbie and Barbie is so deserved. Thanks to Billie.
I LOVE her! Well deserved
That song was real for her, she meant it and it shows in the song. Well deserved.
If I had a nickel for every time Billie Eilish won an Oscar, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
They definitely deserves this. What was I made for is so beautiful.
Her walk to the microphone is so funny
Love her. Love her parents for supporting her.
I always notice this, their parents are always there for them, I wish I had parents like that
I am so in love with her!!!! I’m so happy she made this song and I love that she thanked her childhood bestie 👩🏻🤝👩🏼❤️❤️❤️
Their performance was enchanting. Well deserved, and so likable.
Im so happy for this girl and her brother. She just is who she is
I love listening to Billie & Finneas not only sing, but also talk. They're so entertaining. Billie always makes me laugh.
They SO deserve all of their awards. Congratulations! 💖💞
From performing to winning this award for best song. Billie and Finneas, you are now music legends : )
I love how she ran back and hugged America Fererra! I loved America ever since Real woman have curves and Ugly Betty! And billies voice can do no wrong. Im not suprised she won!!!! Her and finneas are so talented. 🔥 Finneas even hugged America's husband. That was sweet.
LOVE these two! So incredibly talented! Such an amazing team. Well deserved! Mrs. T didn’t like Billie? How? We need to hear from Mrs. T!
Billie is the first person born in the 21st century to have won 2 Academy Awards.
After getting snubbed at a previous award show, this is more than well deserved!
love their amazing brother/sister relationship. so cool
Well deserved by Billie & Finneas! but can we also appreciate how supportive Arianna was during the song itself and when reading the winner! Such a powerful song!!!
This song will live forever. Just one of those special creations. Perfection.
Love that speech. Such humility. Love them both.
Congrats to Billie and Finneas 🎉 they’re both so amazing and skilled and talented ❤❤ love them
I cried, I love you BILLIE❤
Mrs T at the time didn’t realize that this young teen in her class would become famous and receive 2 Oscars before the age of 30!! Wonder what she thinks now of Billie!!
Congratulations to Billie Eilish!
One of the most beautiful songs actually won
Her golden globe speech was genuine from the heart, she should have said it here too but we are so happy for her acheivements at this young age
The less they say she looks nice the more she looks beautiful! I think this woman is absolutely stunning and humble.
Congratulations, Billie, that song inspired everyone ❤
People who bash her brother don't realize how talented he is and what he has brought to the duo. RESEARCH!
I absolutely adore them! What a gift they are
Congrats Billie and Finneas. what a cool Sister and Brother Team!!!
Billie is the most humble person. She never expects to win anything. They deserved that Oscar.
They are my favorite!!
How can you not love her
Of the few things the liked about Barbie, the songs were one of them, and I’m glad it won in this category
Believe me, I never imagined coming out happy from a Barbie movie!
The wrong Barbie song won though.
Should have won costumes too.
I just love those 2❤
Love this soooo much❤❤ she deserves that❤ and finneas of course ❤
These two blow me away with how talented they are, just watching Billie sing the song is incredibly captivating and powerfully moving
Congratulations ❤❤❤❤
I thought they wrote it by themselves. I'm sure they did most of it. So beautiful and of course Billie's range is getting stronger and her falsetto and voice overall with the lyrics and video can make you cry. I never wanted to see the movie because I thought it was going to be an airhead girly comedy. I stopped playing with Barbies at 12. Now I want to see it after realizing there's more to the movie. Over a billion at the box office and my masculine friend liked it so that says a lot.
The daughter of the main human character, is very anti -barbie in the beginning for all the same reasons we all became anti-barbie at some point. The stereotypical stuff, The Patriarchy, etc. lol
There's also an epic rant by the main human character about the catch-22s of being a woman in general that really makes you go, "wow so it really doesn't matter. I should just do what I want. Sick."
It wasn't like the Barbie movies of the past. I found it much funnier, and much more relatable as an adult, as opposed to a movie like "Life-Size" or something; the Tyra Banks one.
they did write it by themselves. mark & andrew just added in some orchestral elements since they were creating the film score
They wrote all of it themselves. The other two names on the track created the 4 second harp based on the chords Finneas made. That harp background in the middle of the second verse was repeated throughout the movie to connect aurally to the ending.
Congratulations Billie & Finneas! Well-deserved!!👏 Beautiful song!!
MY BABY WON HER SECOND OSCARRR
Not a fan but good for Ellish. She's now TWO up on Taylor.
Was Taylor in the running? Did not know that.
@@vp4744 of course not. But it isn't for no reason that she has appeard in at least two movies.
The 1 highlight of the ceremony
Not Ryan Gosling’s TOUR DE FORCE rendition of “I’m Just Ken”? That was number one for me, followed by this and Da’Vine Joy Randolph’s win as Best Supporting Actress for “The Holdovers”. She was AMAZING in a great movie!
I'm just ken is soooo boring & cringe.
SO PROUD OF THEM ❤❤❤
unreal talent💗
Cynthia in green for Elphaba and Ariana in pink for Glinda. Can’t wait for Wicked. 💚💖
Although they dotn realize it yet....a duo for thr history books
what do the pins mean on her and finneas blazers?
ceasefire in gaza
Hamas doesn’t want ceasefire they are not interested.
It’s supposed to be ceasefire but it’s also been associated with an event that happened in the early 2000s.
And they deserved it!!!!❤🎉❤
Congrats 🍾🎉
Congrats! Billie. You so deserve this
