I was actually bawling when the scene started and I could not stop the tears from going down my face… I couldn’t breathe… I saw it at the theater so it was intense and perfect. It actually took me to a place in my soul and being that I never knew existed. That “white abyss with the song hit me that hard. It really was an incredible moment ….altering the depths of my heart and soul. Thank you Billie and the “white abyss” in the movie. I learned something new about myself in those minutes.

Whatever your view on Billie and her music, the vocal technique she uses on What Was I Made For is super difficult, personally I really like what she and her Brother make, the boundaries of vocal technique and production are always pushed and it is a real breath of fresh air that they are working in the music industry.
This is how Avril Lavigne used to sit in these sorts of shows when she was younger and I love it because it shows the spirit of calmness and excitement at the same time.
I did the same, listened to the song first, watched the movie, soundtrack building to that moment so hard not to cry. I liked the song so much I did a choir solo singing it last week.

Whatever your view on Billie and her music, the vocal technique she uses on What Was I Made For is super difficult, personally I really like what she and her Brother make, the boundaries of vocal technique and production are always pushed and it is a real breath of fresh air that they are working in the music industry.
This is how Avril Lavigne used to sit in these sorts of shows when she was younger and I love it because it shows the spirit of calmness and excitement at the same time.

Hands down this masterpiece merits an Oscar! This fabulous song is haunting and melancholic and is very reminiscent to Dionne Warwick / Kd lang's classic "Valley Of the Dolls" which is also theme song to the movie of the same name. Kudos to Billie!
I love this woman and her music. Like, I can't just listen to her songs. Her lyrics and music make my heart, my whole body shrink. Like, i feel it go through me, and, it is such a powerful feeling that I can't deal with it all the time. I would have to listen to hear and ignore the pain to become less sensitive to her music. And I don't want to. I want to feel how her music makes me feel everytime, even if it means to listen to her only when I feel I can handle it
