Thanks to you Humphrey! Yes, Rebecca did a fantastic job on that barn, and I believe it was her first intarsia too.

    Hey Cy
Glad you are back from your camping trip and that you had a great time. You deserve to get away for some R&R.

Wow, you ended up with an awesome bunch of projects!!! All the Judy Gale Roberts patterns used just goes to show what an amazing Intarsia creator she was. She will be greatly missed. I love owls so Phil's owl is definitely a favorite for me and I really like the Christmas door hangers. They would make great gifts! Teresa's art is always stunning....so much talent she has! Rebecca did a fantastic job on the barn! I love Jerry's giraffe's. They are so beautifully done that they should be a tribute to Judy Gale Roberts. Mellanie's turtles are so unique and beautifully done as well as the owl carving. Love all the OPP projects this time!!!

@@mellanieb2416 You are obviously a very talented carver and painter. Your work is amazing and well deserving of the awards you received!!! Did you put some kind of finish over the acrylic paint to get the glossy appearance on the turtles or just use a gloss acrylic? Keep up the great work, I hope to see more of your work in future OPP's!

Thank you, Cy! For someone that has not done intarsia, is the JGR classroom in a tube feasible? Any recommendations? Love the OPP's!

      Hello!
Yes, if you have never done an intarsia a classroom in a tube (CIT) would be great. There is a fish pattern that Judy taught to her beginner class, it now is available as a classroom in a tube project. I would recommend that. Here is a link.
      intarsia.com/products/ct-23-triggerfish-1
I also have a beginning intarsia tutorial series on my channel. But it is very basic and I didn't know some good techniques when I did the tutorial, but it could give you some ideas along with the CIT pattern.

i would recommend a beginner book first Kathy wise has a great one! The Giraffes were a very complex project with a ton of shaping and required very accurate cuts on all the inlays.
