Hello everyone! Just to let you know that this is a re-upload of a video from September. It was brought to my attention that I'd accidentally shared the full patterns of some designs in the first booklet I featured. I've since edited the video to take those out - you'll now only see small parts of the pattern here and there, not the entire design. I considered not re-uploading the video to UA-cam, but so many of you have been inspired by it that I thought it needed to be added to the channel again for future viewers. If you've watched this video already and would like to give it another watch, a like, and/or a comment or two, that would be so appreciated to help it reach a wider audience. Thank you! So make yourself a drink and get cosy - it's time for a quiet and relaxing look through some amazing books that are full of ideas and inspiration.
Will grab a coffee and watch this while I work. Just for future info - to save you having to reupload if similar happens - you can 'cut out' sections of a video inside UA-cam studio! But big respect for taking the time to edit out the full pattern and re-upload Natasha, many wouldn't. 😘
Thank you! That's so appreciated. :) I tried editing in UA-cam studio and found it so difficult, because I really didn't want to have to re-upload, but it is what it is! At least now I'm not worrying about it. x
Hi Natasha! I applaud you for reuploading - I am very involved in the cross stitch youtube community and appreciate you respecting the copyright of these designs. Looking forward to your future video about your sewing and crafting adventures! There is so much joy in working with our hands.
That creepy cross stitch book is right up street - wonderful designs! Thanks for sharing these. I have a couple of the How to Draw books too - Horses and Children. I found them in charity shops, I think. Might have too look for some more now. Looking forward to seeing some finished stitched pieces 😊
Enjoyed this video so much that I immediately went online and ordered Yumiko's book. I used to sew, weave, embroider a while ago and stopped for a long time. This has reinvigorated my interest to embroider once again! Thank you!
Thank you for re uploading this video. I love your book suggestions. I used to cross stitch when I was younger but arthritis in my hands prevents me from doing it now. It’s lovely to see you being inspired by the craft. Loved the Grandma Moses book. Will look for that one.
I bought 'How to Draw the Countryside' E. G. Earthrowl, and 'How to Draw Wild Animals of the Countryside' by W. S Hunter after watching this video the first time. I love both books, but particularly the illustrations of Earthrowl - they're absolutely beautiful - really skilled draftsmanship which seems to have gone out of fashion. Also, I'm fascinated by the bird song in the background. Is it starlings? It sounds as though there's a lot!
I'm so glad that you love both of those books! You're right about the draughtsmanship. The bird song is actually a soundtrack - I just thought that it added a nice ambience. Music seemed too intrusive on this video. :)
@ I think I’ve only ever been there once. Wasn’t impressed 😂. I can’t remember why, though. I think it didn’t sell things that I would wear. Either that or it was too expensive, even for London.

@@eviedivadoodles Hi Evie 👋 👋. Yes, I agree with you. I admire what Natasha did.

Thank you so much! It seemed like the right thing to do. I'll be more careful in the future too! :)

Thank you! I'll be sharing more of the stitching very soon. :)
Some really lovely books, Natasha.
I’m watching again as I really enjoyed this video the first time round. I never get tired of looking at books ❤
Thanks so much, I really appreciate that!
Thanks for reediting! Here to watch again - and not just for the algorithm. Love crafts!
Thank you, I really appreciate that!
0:50 How timely! I just bought and started a cross-stitch kit, after not sewing for years.
Enjoyed this video so much that I immediately went online and ordered Yumiko's book. I used to sew, weave, embroider a while ago and stopped for a long time. This has reinvigorated my interest to embroider once again! Thank you!
That's wonderful! I'm so glad that you enjoyed the video and found it useful.
20:41 Of course you like it! That painting has you written all over it 😂.
I love that I can ALWAYS recognize your work before I see text!
That's good to hear! :)

Thank you, Heather! So sorry to hear about your arthritis. x
Watched for the first time, so pleased you reuploaded.
Thank you!
I used to needlepoint and just started back again. It is so soothing!
Thanks for re-uploading! :)
My pleasure! :)
I’m so happy you re-uploaded this. I am a newer subscriber and hadn’t seen this yet! 🖤
Ah, thank you! And thank you for subscribing too. :)
@@NatashaNewtonArt super happy to be here. 😊
All of these look great, especially that owl book! So cute
Such a great book!
10:58 Owls? A book after my sister’s heart 😄.
Very inspiring, enjoyed it, thanks!
So glad you enjoyed it! Thank you.

@@NatashaNewtonArt Lovely soundtrack!
Thanks for re-editing your video. I missed it the first time and it's so worth seeing. I always love the inspiration you share!
Thank you so much!
Lovely 😃❤️
20:00 wow 😮
11:43 Grumpy!
Watching this, I’ve just remembered about sending you something xx
Ooh yes, sorry Samantha - I meant to message you! xx
1:53 Would you look at that! Another cake 😂.
Love!
Thanks Lilly!
4:02 Is that the Liberty department store in London?
It is! I love it there. So inspiring and an amazing building.

Thank you, hope it works well and doesn't 'get in the way' with the algoritm...
Thank you! :)
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆ I recomend you....A dictionary of color convinations, ed. Seigensha...
Thank you!
2:18 The following question is actually a serious one: is there a way of reproducing these designs on a cake with icing?
Well, I couldn't do it, but I bet someone could! ;)
@ 🤤
0:32 Anyone else sees a cake that just screams eat me?
Yes! :)
8:15 How come ghost humans don’t have legs but ghost cats do??
I mean, do ghost cats still float?
This is a very good point!
@ It is! But it carries the danger of turning philosophical 😂.
9:43 Still a No from me 😱🥶.
Still first! 😂
Yay!!!
Yes, you are! 👋
@@pastelsgirl Ooo! Another comment from you 😃😄👋.
