It's probably too late, as you will have reassembled it buy now, but you can purchase a cleaning block to clean the armature, or you can use a fin grit paper, but it looks like oil on your brushes from a leaking bearing, hope your fix works for you. Bob in the UK
Nice job you did.. I had doubts about the coupler, but you succeeded. Still the question remains: where did the smoke come from..? Dirty collector? It looks fine....
Thank you! Good question, but I don't know to be honest. Maybe the collector indeed, or the brushes, these could have created some friction and decide to evaporate part of themselves.
Excellent. Magimix with the "we wont tell" attitude is now on my "do not recomment" list. I volunteer at repair cafes and often get blenders. The conversation often goes into "what brand do you recommend". Well, i never recommend. But I'm always happy to give really bad brand examples and why I personally would never buy them 😂

Thank you for that tip! It is still working, but if it starts smoking again I will have a look for a cleaning block.

:) - My idea exactly. Do you know of any blender brands that are easy to repair?
Magimix be like: "Huh? Why would there be a brush made of carbon in our blender!??"
