    Thank you for your video!! After watching I was able clean the brushes on my Vitamix blender (it completely stopped working) and now it works totally fine again! :D You're awesome much appreciated brother!!

      Glad it helped. Especially with the price we pay for a good blender. They shouldn’t be disposable. Lol.

    Troubleshooting and repair, a lost art with the younger generation. It does suck when you end up with extra parts though. With cell phones, its less of a chance though...snap a picture here and there or video for reference and you're golden! Nice job! Time to blend up some Margaritas 🍹 😋 🤪

      Yes to the margaritas. We made frozen blue Hawaiians yesterday. Good stuff!

    My ninja CT670 UKV has stopped working, and I will try and clean the brushes to see.
    Aby thoughts, please? Thanks for your insight

      I don't know for sure with that model, but based on what I saw with mine, a good first step is going to be to clean the brushes and where the brushes rub the shaft (I think that is called the stator, but not sure). Good luck, I would love to have you reply back here and let me know if that worked. Really curious.

    For Ninja Model BL830CB 30
    Kind of disappointed with this incomplete demo,
    was looking for as how to remove motor ?
    Or How to remove top bushings around blender drive ?
    Or how to remove cooling fan from motor shaft ?

    I have a cuisinart blender that was making a burning smell & now it will not turn on anymore, any suggestions

    • @Svdreamchaser
      @Svdreamchaser  Рік тому

      I don’t k ow based on that, but I am a firm believer in trying before replacing. My recommendations would be to ensure you lay out all the screws and parts the way they come out on a towel or blanket spread out. My guess would be that it may be carbon build up on the parts you saw me clean here. If they don’t make great contact via their contacts and it will drive up amperage to get all the power it needs.

    What is the potention meter

    • @Svdreamchaser
      @Svdreamchaser  Рік тому

      I am not 100% sure, but thinking you are referring to a poteniometer. Those are typically what is connected to a "knob" like the speed control on this blender. It essentially varies the resistance on the circuit so you can get different throughput of the power. When you see something that changes speed, or frequency, those are often potentiometers.

    Those things aint cheap! I hate that so many things are impossible to repair these days...

    • @Svdreamchaser
      @Svdreamchaser  2 роки тому +1

      They don't make it easy that is for sure. Then on top of that, it is hard to get parts too. I can recall being able to go to an appliance repair store and get just about anything you needed. I guess you can still do that, but most people just buy new. Crazy and I really worry that we have lost the skill of repairs. Think of a shoe cobbler, or alterations shop or TV repair. All of that stuff is gone for the most part. I guess alterations still happen for weddings, suits, etc, but not as common for the every day folks.

    Mine blends only for two minutes then it stops, after like five minutes it runs again, really disappointing, what would be the problem

    • @Svdreamchaser
      @Svdreamchaser  Рік тому +2

      That almost sounds like it is overheating or something. If you open it up and clean all the parts and ensure there is good air flow to the metal around the spindle it may help. That is an odd behavior and it sounds heat related?

      I have a buzzing sound coming from the magnetic brushes. What coil are you referring to? Is it the black part that come right up brush to make it spin?

    • @Svdreamchaser
      @Svdreamchaser  10 місяців тому +1

      @@marcospadilla9819i rewatched and i think the diagram example at 4:35 in video will help. I was referring to the brushes that rode agains the commutator (i think i said coil by mistake instead of commutator).

      @@Svdreamchaserthank you. I was able to take out the brush which was attached to a spring. What sand grit did you use for cleaning the commutator and the brushes. Could I also used qd electronic cleaner? Thank you so much. Been not working for years and this is my last try

    • @Svdreamchaser
      @Svdreamchaser  9 місяців тому +1

      @@marcospadilla9819 I think I use 120 grit but frankly I don’t know that it matters a whole lot I probably wouldn’t do anything like 60 or 80, that may be two course, but certainly workable if that’s what you have handy. You could use a mail file I don’t think it matters exactly what you use. And if you need to clean it by all means you could use an electronic contact cleaner just make sure you use one that’s designed for electronics so it doesn’t cause any challenge with shorts.
