How do you think she's done? About this series, "Texas Declutter": Two years ago I started helping my parents declutter and organize their home. Six months after the initial declutter I went back for a second pass and now it's been 1.5 years since I've been there. You can find the previous episodes on this playlist: About this series, "Texas Declutter": ua-cam.com/video/-UfhxsyfV0M/v-deo.html
Your Mom has really embraced the help you gave her. It’s not easy to have someone go through all your personal, daily items and encourage you to change. BUT, you guys nailed it. You have a different perspective for this stage of life. Wonderful and congratulations. Fun video to watch.
Can’t help but notice how the former “Depression Room” completely lights her up now! She is so proud. ☺️ Further proof that our environment totally affects our mental health.
Great success, keeping the decluttering and organizing process going! I live in Germany and we have four seasons here, from -15 grade Celsius up to 38 grade Celsius. It stressed me out to change clothes in my wardrobe. With climate change, the temperatures are weird and seasons are less clear. Recently I decided to put all my clothes together. Nothing stored away. It's so much easier and I know much better, what I have! I'm excited to see the next episode 🥰 with your mum and Winston!
As a fellow quilter I am so impressed with her Texas quilt. AND I completely understand the dilemma of organizing our quilting supplies and projects. She has done an amazing job.
Your Mum has learned what most of us do regarding decluttering. It's really hard to start, but once you see the benefits of being able to see walls and floors, it gets so much easier to say goodbye to stuff.
Your mom and dad did a great job maintaining and improving on their spaces! Love how they kept the momentum going and moved things around to make their space work even smarter for them. I think it's okay if your mom didn't declutter her last 'Eunice' corner just yet as she didn't stay stagnate and was pausing to test and enjoy the progress. Happy Holidays to you and your family! 😊
Your Mom's home is absolutely beautiful!! Her living room looks so cozy. I love the color she choose in her living room. She's doing a great job keeping everything organized. Just a suggestion, from time to time when your Mom has a chance to look through her stuff to see what else can go. But she's doing a great job keeping everything tidy and organized. Cute dog!
It was so nice to see your mom. She’s so confident in front of the camera now! If memory serves, she didn’t like to show her face in the beginning of her declutter journey. She is so inspiring! ❤
We love your Mom, please tell her hello and sorry for her loss of sweet Dirk. Her and your Dad have done such an awesome job with their decluttering journey. I've learned so much from this series! Welcome Winston, you cutie patootie!
You better watch out; your mom is going to take over your channel. LOL :) Love watching her and listening to her talk about everything. LOVED the beautiful quilt of TEXAS! :) I'm not from TX but I loved it.
Wow, April! Your mom has come a long way! She’s doing great with keeping up on her decluttering. Missed you! Glad to see more content. Hugs to you and Izzy and hubby!🎄🥰👍💜
You mom is so creative with all her projects! 🎉🎉🎉 It's fun to see how your major decluttering and repainting etc made her inspired to declutter some more, rearrange some stuff etc. Looking forward to the new series! ❤❤❤
I love Mom so much, she's so cute! It's so great to see her being involved in her space, coming up with solutions on her own. I'm totally going to use that hanger crate idea.
Thumbs up for Mom & Winston!!! She has done such a fantastic job!!!! I love that she also has grown to appreciate that investing in good pieces is definitely worth it! :)
I love your Mom!!! She hs done such a great job decluttering and keeping things neat. That Texas quilt is SO beautiful!!! Great video, thanks for sharing this. ❤
Aw you are so like your beautiful mum. Love love love the 2 Winston’s from another mini schnauzer mum! Your mum could start up a whole new business with those wee Winston’s!
It was such a kick to see your mom host us on camera this time! She was in her element. It was also great to see how she's held the line, made progress and improvements, and generally has been making it all work and truly theirs. You'd both laid a good foundation but she's really made it her own. The sheer number of projects she's accomplished in her now-workable craft room is stunning. I was duly impressed. She might want to head east and help you and Eunice.... Thanks for this visit and update, both of you. This view from the lived-in side of things was really valuable. More, please. 😉
Glad y’all got to come home to Texas to see your family! Your mom is so cute and a talented lady. I like her Texas spirit! I’m in Fort Worth, love my Texas stuff!
haha. He really has. I can't tell you how many times he stole something of ours while we were there. If a shoe is on the floor he'll take it and run :)
Your mom is so cute!!! I don't know why she didn't want to be on the last videos. Your mom seems like mine. I cleared out 2 drawers and organized them and not a week later she is just throwing stuff in vs putting it in the correct organizer. 😒I think adjusting to organizing is just really hard especially for maximalists, because honestly I think they are organized in their own way and they don't understand more minimalists standards. The more time I try to push my mom to get less, the more I realize that she truly is happy with her stuff and her "mess" and I've just got to accept that.
I love that you are back at your Mom's helping her declutter. She has done an amazing job keeping up with all the systems you implemented! Love how the tidying has helped her do so many projects now that everything is to hand. Love her new washer and dryer set. My mother's avocado green washer finally died after 30+ years and we had to replace it with a new one.🤣The green dryer is still going strong though! Those things were built to last. So looking forward to this new organizing session.
Wow!! Your parents have done great! Your mom's sewing and craft room was decluttered and organized well so she could finish her projects, she is even donating her projects which is of course so so kind. I know it's tempting to free up more space, but I also learned ive sewing and crafting and it's crucial to have supplies on hand, and I also am so proud of her for finishing all of those pieces and using the sentimental fabric!!! I bet other people need those bags for their walkers!!! That is just such a touching story
April, your mom is such a doll!!! I love that she has embraced being on camera - she's a natural! She really seems to love all of the changes you guys worked so hard to accomplish & it quite obviously has allowed your mother's creativity to fly even more being able to have easy access to all of her craft supplies & a nice space to work in! It's so wonderful to see ❣And finally that fabric puppy she made for your friend's daughter in Korea is precious!! I could see her creating those for others people's pets as a business - but I'm sure she could have lots of businesses w/her talents!
That's so wonderful. Your Mom kept up with the work you and her did in decluttering. To see she came into her own on organizing things to work for her and to keep it organized. It's awesome!
I know most of you don't mean anything by it but it's patronizing to refer to older people as "cute." You may mean to be complimentary but it infantalizes them, dismisses their life experiences and subtly suggests that they're less mentally acute. My wife is a nurse and I see this ALL THE TIME with her work friends. Just because someone expresses themselves in folksy sayings instead of the 4 letter words that have become standard conversation doesn't mean they're mentally soft or unfamiliar with the harsh reality of the world.
Did you get your Luggage 8 for free for advertising for them? I looked it up and for two pieces it's like over $300. Where does your mom live out west? We LOVE the West.
Yippee a new series 👏👍🥳 Winston is so cute. Your parents have done great decorating and improvements since you were there last and decluttered more as well. They are fantastic. The house looks great and I can’t wait to see what changes ye will make. Have a great time with family. Mary, Joes wife 👏💪👍🙏💐🐕🦺
Thanks so much! I am making Christmas ornaments this year and was thinking of your mom. I had suggested she might make ornaments with her shells. It was nice, the basket shelf with the little piles of shells. My decluttering journey is going well. It’s nice to see your mom’s place and the changes. We bloom and flourish once we get past the initial struggles. 😊
I feel so proud of your mom! It's so hard to go through things with such emotion behind them and she's embraced all the steps of this process. It inspired me to do deep cleans and keep up with mini declutters throughout the year or when I realize I'm just not using things. Hopefully I can get my mom on this journey one day.
What a fun video I loved to see how much she had continue doing and 50 projects when you have everything in order you see what you have and start doing projects I bet it feels so good her new puppy is so cute and your mom is so sweet and cute she seems so much more talkative then I remember from her earlier videos decluttering I see the decluttering really made her life so much more enjoyable
So excited to see you’re back in Texas! Love to see your sweet mom. She’s embraced the changes and seems so happy and comfortable. I’m sure she’s enjoying your visit home. Love from central Texas.
Great video! I was so excited to see that you were back in Texas. What a treat! I cannot believe it’s already been 2 years wow. Your mom is a riot. Favorite thing was when she said she realized that she really likes stuff 😂 so relatable. Can’t wait to see more!
Yay! It’s so nice to see your mom properly :) It’s great to see how she’s tweaked some of the solutions you put in place and done so many projects since then. Getting rid of the big exercise bike and chair made so much room for her to have space for herself in the sewing room. What a win!
Still looking and feeling so good - I think I felt most motivated by the fifty projects MamaApril got done since her craft room was put together - that's outstanding! I love your mom! This was one of my favorite series. It is brave to allow all of us to see everything in their home. I don't think I could allow total access, lol! She's done a great job! Hope your dad is well. Take care, Linda 🦋

April, is your dad doing okay?
I love that your mom decided to be fully on camera now! She’s so cute 🥰. Yay for more Texas Declutter!!
Your Mom has really embraced the help you gave her. It’s not easy to have someone go through all your personal, daily items and encourage you to change. BUT, you guys nailed it. You have a different perspective for this stage of life. Wonderful and congratulations. Fun video to watch.

Look how passionate your mum is about her projects and ideas in the "depression room" now. Lovely to see 😊
Mom is a star. Her cheerfulness lights up every room in her home. You can really see and feel the pride and industry she has for her projects.
It's definitely a change since the days of hte depresssion room :)
Great success, keeping the decluttering and organizing process going!

So cool, that you got this SUITCASE sponsorship as THE SUITCASE DESIGNER 😊🎉
Haha I didn’t even think of that
@@SpaceMakerMethod Really? That was my first thought!!
I think their suitcases are great, but do they fit into each other as your old ones do?
I mean for storage in small places?
They do all consolidate into the large 1! It’s a must for smal spaces
So nice to see your mum, she's doing a great job. Also very happy you got sponsored for the video. Well done April 😊
Please don’t let us wait to long for episode 2🥰 i love these series
We’re going to quickly wrap up some episodes with Eunice’s kitchen and then we’ll be back.

It’s so motivating to see your mother’s mentality change so much since the first two iterations!
I am glad your mom showed her face. Looking forward to more decluttering. Her dog is so cute!💕🐕🦺

She said “I’m kinda tight” but you declutterred so many things she had no problem buying before 😂😂😂
Your mom is glowing! Decluttering takes so much weight off our shoulders 😊

So glad, that the majority of the solutions you found together worked so good and are still working! And she is so happy about her sowing room and her own closet and the gallery wall. But why didn't they used nails after they realised that they liked the gallery wall, when the command strips came down?
