Thanks for making this video, I just really needed to know how I would sound when using those headsets, or if I ever use a real microphone. great job, on the vid, it really helped.
I think this was the most helpful review I've seen around UA-cam on Mics

Came for watching a test, saw the setup and just looked at my setup too.
Life is shit confirmed
This is why I don’t have instagram

Lol the microphone looks like deodorant
omg it does XD
haha true
lol i also thought that
YES LOL
Kimber G yeah
Great video- very helpful to hear the actual differences. Any thoughts please on blue yeti v HyperX QuadCast - please- i'm using for creating online teaching material rather than gaming? Thanks a million
Yeah that quality from the ROG to the Blue mic was really noticable
The audio quality would be depend, I mean, a Turtle Beach sound good as a Blue Yeti, so it will depend which one you buy, but the good about headset is that, no need to worry about a pop-filter and the distance between you and the mic so do not need to spend extra money for a arm mic stand or a pop filter.
True but the thing I love about the yeti is mic monitoring
Thanks for this video, I've been watching usb mic and headset v gaming headsets vids for about two hours trying to decide which way I want to go. still undecided cause that Astro AT40 mic quality didn't sound much different (to me) from that Asus or blue yeti mic.
I use a cheap condenser Mic and headphones. $50 total and the audio quality is better than most headsets that cost more
Which headphone and condenser mic od you use?
i spent $30 in total and prolly better than the ones that cost more
anyone find good headphones? reply to me plz
@@Lemonzify what did you spend $30 on?
Blue Snowball + Sony closed headphones is crisp
rbrtzh can you use just a headset with a mic on it can you use that on pc or do you need a headset and a separate mic
What i have almao
PC Centric what headset stand is that you are using? can you link it to me?
Dude this video was amazing serious good job
Man 0'war was the best sounding headset mic.
Blue yeti was best sounding of them all.
I have the blue snowball which is great but do keep toying with upgrading to a yeti.
Keep um coming Marcus.
PCTechHub don't upgrade to a yeti. A usb microphone has a limit on how good the quality can get. And therefore the gains you should get from a yeti will not be noticeable. So stick with the snowball. Save your money for a chair or an L-shape desk.
man 0'war sounded like buttcrack. the a40 sounded significantly better, even though it still sounded like a steaming butthole
+coffee fresh
Or a Focusrite interface with an AT2035 mic or better
When I read Man 0'war I thought of the gun from Black Ops 3
dont upgrade to a yeti. Not worth it at all. They sound almost identical. If you're gonna upgrade upgrade to either a more expensive USB mic or XLR, but I suggest XLR
@PC Centric I like to have the fan and air filter blasting in my room while gaming, what do you recommend?
What if you use your headset and a dedicated mic? Will both mics speak at the same time?
Just got a corsair k95 keyboard like yours, literally the best keyboard
A headphone and a desk mic is a mutch better option indeed. It is like 40 euro's more but it is totaly worth it.
The khz and the quality of the drivers is MUTCH better on the headphones and they sound mutch better as well.
The comfort of headphones is better than headsets.
The khz is better on desk mics and the overall audio quality is better as well. So basicly, everything is better for about 20-50 euro's more.
is blue yeti a good mic? and the audio technicas mth30x?
I wanted a keyboard test with Blue Yeti.
Blue yeti is really a good mic because it gets in the way of things and I recommend an extendable mic
@@dogwithfreshcut8092 so it’s good?
I used a very bad PS4 headset, 1 year later I went up to a Turtle Beach Recon 50, now I have a VERY good headset, I recently ordered a USB microphone (the Auna 900G) it’s being shipped from Belgium as I’m writing and getting it on the 8th or 9th of January 2019!!! I’m really excited, the only thing it did not come with though was a pop filter I don’t think, but they are really cheap, just not gonna get one yet lol
Would I have much of a problem with a microphone as someone who generally uses push to talk and has cherry mx brown switches?
The cons of dedicated USB microphones of background noise can easily be resolved with decent noise cancelling software and properly calibrating it.
Can you use the yeti and other professional sounding mics with the next gen consoles?
That intro music tho🔥🔥🔥
What is the monitor are you gaming at???
If i were to buy a yeti, would it be good to use just for general gaming as well?
I plan to plug DT 1990 PRO headset to Sound BlasterX G6 (amplifier).
Then Sound BlasterX G6 to PS4 through USB.
Then Blue Yeti to PS4 through USB
Will it work??
what are some good headphones to use with the mic
Great advice
i have a Blue Yeti blackout edition, it's best for both content creators and gamers. But i don't have a gaming headset, i play with my Sennheiser HD 598 SE and i really love it.
Get an xlr microphone, it requires a bit of research but it will sound 10x better than the blue yeti.
Does Blue Yeti pick keyboard sounds?
Gua, Yes. If you don’t want it to you can buy a shockmount and it’s not as bad.
The LucidSound LS30s sound great!
Nice really helps me
Hardware Canucks put a video out comparing several headset (a couple videos over the years really). And one headset that stood out in mic quality was the Razor Blackshark Pro V2 (V1/original just has less battery life as far as i can tell). That being said, i think you should check them out. I got a set, and for the price, i don't think there's to you too much you can complain about. Especially if you catch them on sail. Currently, I just saw them on Amazon for $130.
I'd like to record my own gaming sessions (with a webcam) without any streaming so I guess a headset would be more suited for me. Don't know if I'll like it either so I don't want to spend too much money on it. Thanks for yer advice.
What mic do you use
If I was recording for a vid and wanted to record the audio of not only myself but my friends would I need any other equipment apart from a microphone e.g. Blue yeti?
Thanks for the tip. I definitely wont be buying anything that doesnt pick up/transmit good bass tones. A lot of cheap mics leave out those octaves.
1st ! Keep going with the videos, used your videos to help me decide what i wanted for my PC myself
This was helpful
If you connect the XLR to the laptop using something
How will the sound quality be?
Because in our country, Syria, I could not find a USB microphone😟
and I can't buy a sound card
Waiting for your reply, thanks
My friend can get all she needs for youtube my family is not in her price range so I'm just gonna live without a mic and headphones... will it still be good audio? Please reply...
I have a Chinese microphone gamer desktop. Which I pair with a Sure srh1540. Is kinda impressive how a set of headphones can change a game.
Thx for help
I want something to record my voice for a UA-cam video: what should I choose?
I got a really small desktop so if I choose a mic it will pickup all the background noise and will make video very distracting
On the other hand a headset might be a little too casual and not good enough sound for a video, any suggestions?
A good headset would have a decent sound quality
Thanks for the incite! Found it funny because I got distracted by the gameplay, what game is this?
battlefield 1
Can anybody answer you see how the headphones is inside the microphone and the microphone is connected to the monitor how does he listen to the gameplay
I use my Razer Kraken headset to stream. But it has a constant white noise when you listen to the live stream. The white noise happens with my headset and my boyfriends Turtle Beach Ear Force Recon. I stream using my Xbox One and I’ve tried changing all kinds of settings and cleaning the controllers jack port. Please help! I don’t know how to fix this
Do a update on the best mics on headsets
i own a steelseries arctis 3 but im going to buy a neewer 700 nm WITH THE 48V PHANTOM POWER SUPPLY for me talking in discord and fortnite and stuff but use my headset as it has good qauility in game so am i able to use both... PLEASE REPLY I BEG
So I have a headset with a built in mic but I would like to get I real mic but not new headphones so how do I choose what mic I wanna uses
Guys can someone help me
I have a headset and it doesn't come with a usb it comes with the other type of cables ( I don't know what it's called) and it comes with 2 of these cables, one is for the sound and the other is for the mic, now the problem is that I want to connect it to my laptop but it have only 1 port that looks like a mix between a mic port and a headphone port ( In other meaning it's a headset port) so what do I do ? Which Cable I have to plug in
Can someone pls help so do I need an actual microphone or can I get a headset with a built in mic?
Even though I have a pretty good headset my mic quality isn’t that great I game mostly and always in discord can I use both a headset and a mic for for talking on disoxrd and game chat ?
Can't u just use a usb Mic but use bluetooth/3.5m cable so u can get better sound using headphones but clear voice with a microphone
Yes
Can anyone please help me I am planning to buy a hardware microphone but already have a headset, my question is will the voice echo and how can I mute my headsets microphone and use the hardware microphone?
So microphones always have static noise??? I noticed this with both microphones I got and my voice sounds better with normal wired apple headphones and even the static (silence) sound sounds lower
i want to do lets plays on a small tv with an elgato, i understand that i plug my headphones into the tv's headphone jack, but how do i stop my mic from picking up the audio from my computer recording the gameplay?
Can someone help I have a much to phone but I have a headset as well, I want to use the head set as audio and use my microphone as a mic. What do I do?
Can you use a blue yeti with a wireless a20 astro headset or do you need a headset wtih kabel ?
Can you plug the headset into the mic
My headsets were constantly breaking after a few months and I got annoyed so I bought a mic (blue snowball) and headphones (beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO Studio Headphones - 80 Ohm) this was about a year ago and i'm still happy using them at the moment.
scalpingsnake so can you talk to your friends with it or do you need to have a head set to talk to your friends because I am deciding weather I should or shouldn’t not by a micro phone
@@barhoomrmayti5443 yes you can talk to your friend with it but what will you use to hear your friends?

why does voice break and sometimes echo when others listening whilst online gaming?

And im recording yt videos on Phone And PC
Also recording ASMR
And singing
I was interested in fifine k678
Can you help me ?
Why would you need the big speakers if you have a headset and a desk mic?
If your willing to spend money on something like Astro’s you would be better of just getting some nice headphones like some x2s or something from the dt series with a mic like a snowball, modmic or something similar
PC Centric what are your monitors

You can buy a blue snowball as well the audio is good maybe not as good as blue yeti but 150$ and blue snowball is like 50$
If i buy a microfone do i need a headset also or what ? Someone respond plz
Can u use normal headphones example hd25s with a cit 7.1 soundcard and a gaming mic
Wouldn't a microphone pick up the sounds from the speakers from the PC?
Anybody can eliminate static or white noise with Audacity, and use the same program to make their voice sound fuller.
I want to use one of these mics for gaming and also use my headset to hear what do i need
You can. Why it wouldn’t work
Can I use a headset with a mic but use a condenser microphone at the same time
Blue Yeti was the best but I thought the Razer sounded better than the ROG. Astro was the worst.
Cant u use both?
What was the headphones in the thumbnail
May i ask what the Bright Red Headset were at the start please as i would really like them.
greekgodx
woah the "man o war" is actually a decent headset! i am impressed.

Can you connect it to an ipad
I bought some senn HD 569 headphones and they were way to quiet to even play games with.
How do I connect a USB mic to a PC but use a headset for audio.
I need help with this too
just go to sound settings (bottem right of your screen - right click the audio icon - click open sound settings, once you're there just set your input and output device (input=mic output=headphones)

For anyone into serious recording/streaming I recommend a single microphone. I think u can find a decent pair of headphones for £35 or like 30-40$ but I have some wireless earbuds so once I charge em I will edit this comment to tell u if it’s a good idea
Have you charged your wireless earbuds yet?
If your using the microphone then how do u hear
Personally I only use my mic for gaming so I'll probably never bother investing in a standalone mic. I'm just here for the entertainment.
What’s that red headset called
I luckily came to the most important and needed video I ever want....in the world!!!
Thank you buddy....by the way I'm just a singer and Just starting my recording.....that's why I wanted to buy gaming headsets. ...and. .... my choice is not bad
What's the name of this game?
With my pc you can’t use just a headset to talk unless you have a headphone splitter. Sorry if I sound stupid and all PCs are like that but it’s my first pc
Any updates regarding these products, I'm looking for a stand alone mic. Not trying to record my mechanical keyboard or my old noises lol
Yeti is still my fave, though the Magnus is great for travel
PC Centric thank you!
redpepperdave the bm 800 is a cheap condenser Mic that has a decent range
