I build most of my watches and have experience with both the NH35 and PT5000. The PT5000 is more fragile, meaning more susceptible to shock, I have lost several due to my clumsiness. Not so with the NH35 which is more rugged, just as accurate, and better value. So I would not choose the PT5000 in any watch where both are offered, there is simply no practical benefit.
I've several PT5000 watches and they're all fine but like you, I'd choose the NH35 in preference, when available. Thanks for watching!! 👍👍
Also, I am pretty sure the pt5000 suffers from the hand winding issue inherited from the eta2824

The Erebus Accent I have on preorder is a similar fume, although it is orange so that keeps me from getting this Tandorio. I do have another Tandorio, I forget the model number but it is a pilot/field watch design in titanium, and I love it. Put it on a nice brown strap and wear it nearly every day. It's so light you forget you are wearing it.

Suggest looking at the Watchdives 16500 Chronograph. It goes for less than $100. I love my blue dial one. Great value!

@@TimeForAnotherWatch of the 9 watches I have bought so far this year 6 were under $50. All are 316l with sapphire and only 1 is not a Seiko movement. (The PD-1758 was $75, PD1701v5 was $65, and Berny full lume titanium was $59)

Really like the look of this one. It needs an onion crown & better lume but it’s pretty good. In terms of recommendations I’d go for the addiesdive Tuna & Willard homages

Bought mine for ca. 50€ in the last sale. The quality for the price is ok. For me, the glass looks a little opaque sometimes, but otherwise no complaints. The NH is running at +10 seconds a day which is well in tolerance. Wear it now on brown or red FKM and will test it in the water this summer. Regards

Have the same watch from 11.11 sale and love it. It's a great beater - just for those getting it, do NOT get the Tandorio bracelet option. It's uncomfortable and its a butterfly clasp with no micro adjust. It will be either too tight or too loose on 99% of wrists. Just put it on a black or brown strap to make the red dial pop.

I have this watch on the leather strap (decent quality) and I really like it. I love the Murph 38, but don't like the price or the movement, so I've been looking out for a homage. The Tandorio captures the look without being a close copy and I think the sandwich red dial looks fantastic for £46! The next best value watch I have is the Sinn inspired full lume dial Berny titanium with vh31.

With some very few exceptions I don't like sterile watches. But you're right, the Tandorio branding isn't the greatest. Their logo without the writing by the way reminds me of the Transformer movies! 😄

I have a strong feeling about Tandorio: this is a company that sells the parts for the watches, like DIY kits. And also, Tandorio sells these watches assemblied from the part they sell. I have never seen the model numbers in their selling offers. But you can easilly order a model without the branding at the dial.
So this product looks like something is built on the knee in a garage.
Can I at least be sure of the stated water resistance ? I think not.
What is your opinion about this?
I'm sceptical about the water resistance. I wouldn't worry about wearing one in the rain but I wouldn't wear one while swimming. Thanks for watching 👍👍

As the previous commenter mentioned, I think they're a very good value for money brand. I've owned several of their watches and I've had no major QC issues.

While I appreciate the specs for the price, this one misses the mark for me by combining a vintage dial and handset with a very modern case. The slab-sided case and modern crown ruin its vintage appeal, especially since Tandorio has a bigger parts bin to choose from. The dial would be better with a cushion case, or even a more rounded Oyster-style case. The bronze option softens this a bit, but I'm not a huge fan of the material. An onion crown would be great. Unfortunately, Tandorio has a bad habit of mismatching dials and cases, and their vintage cases often have modern, or even diver-style dials and hands.
To be fair to them, the case is similar to the OG watch it's homaging. Thanks for watching 👍👍
@@TimeForAnotherWatch Hamilton was a bit lazy in their design choices for the Murph 38, and Oris did a better job with the Big Crown. Personally, I think the Oris would look better with a more rounded case and an onion crown. The 1926 Baltany Oyster is a great combination with a similar dial and cathedral handset. To fit within your Budget Hero series, check out the STEELFLIER SD1906 or SF745 models.
Caution, read reviews on this brand, esp about being waterproof....
