She starred in the 2009 Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of Hair and also appeared in the original Off-Broadway cast of Rock of Ages. Burns starred as Elphaba in the first national tour of Wicked. Following her departure from the tour, Burns reprised the role of Elphaba in the Broadway production.
Alyssa Fox is an American actress and singer known for her roles in musical theater. She made her Broadway debut as the Elphaba standby in the musical Wicked in 2016. In 2014, she assumed the tour's lead role. Fox worked as the standby for Elphaba on Broadway after the tour concluded. In March 2023, Fox took over the role of Elphaba on Broadway.
Jennifer "Jenny" DiNoia is an American singer and stage actress. She is best known for her work in musical theatre, especially Wicked, playing the lead role of Elphaba in various productions around the world. DiNoia finally was cast in the lead role of Elphaba on the second national touring company. DiNoia performed "Defying Gravity" at the opening ceremony of the 2014 Special Olympics in New Jersey. In September 2014, DiNoia was revealed to be the next lead Elphaba in the West End production of Wicked. Following the closure of Wicked's 1st national tour, it was announced that DiNoia would be playing Elphaba in the Broadway production. In February 2015, DiNoia joined the 1st national tour of Wicked In 2016, she rejoined the Broadway production of Wicked as Elphaba.
Mary Kate Morrissey is an American actress. She is most well known for her portrayal of Elphaba in the second National Tour of Stephen Schwartz' Wicked. Mary Kate was then cast as Janis in the first National Tour of Mean Girls. She is the current Elphaba standby on Broadway.

Cedric, Morissette is my Defying Gravity go to artist, even though all four of these artists all are amazing.
You are missing out on an artist as amazing as Morissette and who is also a friend of hers. Gigi de Lana, who is known as "The Queen of Covers" just hit 2 Million subscribers for a reason.
