I started playing the piano because of this song and gave myself the goal to play this one day,finally after 1.5 years of learning song over song i did it, I finally know how to play this ❤️
Info: I'm currently on day 3 writing this. I have played piano for 5 years however I can't say I was very good. I currently haven't learnt a single piano piece in around two years, and have only played one piece that I remember around 5 times in that time period. I'm planning to learn this whole song but don't expect myself to do it very fast. Day 1. Began with section F, right hand then added left hand. After finishing section F went to section A. Both sections are learnt completely, B is a bit rusty on the jumps but overall learnt. Right hand on G is very messy during jumps and fingering position changes but overall learnt. Plans for tomorrow. Revise A, B, and F, practice G right hand and G left hand. Day 2. Started sections C, D, and E. Fully finished E however C and D are only right hand so far. I revised A, B and F as well as G right hand and it is all slightly better. Tried playing the whole song as much as I knew and it was very messy, lots of pauses to find notes and had to check what the correct note was once. G right hand no longer has as many pauses and section A no longer has pauses between note changes. Plan for tomorrow. Revise A, B, E, and G right hand. Learn C and D left hand. Leave G and H out of the priority but might attempt a few times. Day 3. Just finished left hand for C and D, it was much more difficult than I thought it would be and I am struggling a lot. However I can't say I was expecting this to take me any less than a month to learn. I now know the first 1 minute and 27 seconds of the song, the parts I originally wanted to not learn and only learn the hard part at the end (H and G). Plan for tomorrow. Only revision, get everything more confident. I know the notes but finding them and playing in time is hard. Day 4 - 6. I have kept practicing what I know so far, and I'm getting better but due to the fact I don't have a lot of time to practice I am still struggling.
You shouldn't try to cram these things in your brain yk. Just take your time and be patient and play as much as you can. You'll eventually get there buddy

Also, You do not have to hold the bass notes for as much time as the vídeo shows, You can just touch them and keep the sustain pedal down, that way your left hand has the necessary Freedom to to the higher stuff.
I usually play the first left hand part with my left hand but the second half with my right, and cross my left over to play the octaves. Its still really difficult but it might be a bit easier :)
i was struggling with the left hand too, all you can do is just repeat the phrase really. if it helps i placed my third finger on the Db and since i have small hands i had to pivot my wrist so my thumb could reach the Ab too lol. make sure your thumb is firm when pressing the Ab otherwise it’ll sound out of place
Im gonna learn to play this Plan: there are 8 parts so I’m gonna learn two parts a day which means I can do it in 4 days and then on day 5 I’m gonna learn dynamics and on day six I should be able to play it.

Before playing a chord is when you use it, you can see on the left hand there is a few parts where there is a sustained chord while the left hand moves up higher towards the right hand. Play the chord before using the right hand, use the pedal and then continue.
@@tierneyjadee about 4 months of playing, though I didn't play every day. I memorized it in sections, but not necessarily in order, just whatever parts I like the best I would easily memorize.
Just stop playing the left hand notes are reach over. Or utilize the sustain peddle but it you don’t have one then don’t worry about it (the middle peddle)

Definitely it is easier to play that part with the left hand jumping over the right hand reaching for those chords.
