Things to consider : - The Crusaders are an important part of the story of Genealogy of the holy war. - Seliph and Leif are cousins (Seliph's father and Leif's mother are siblings) - Leif have an older sister named Altena - It's stated that Marth is a direct descendant of Sigurd, and probably the Tyrfing is the Falchion (PROBABLY) - Camus , a paladin that wield Gradivus , a general that Marth battles him , he ends up in Valentia with no memories about his past. - Camus then took the name of Zeke in Valentia, but after those events, he returned to Archanea as Sirius. - The Falcion is the made out of the fang of Naga (she only has two) , which one of Alm's have it and the other one is on Marth - Falchion design has change from Marth's era to Lucina's era - The legendary weapons from the crusaders, that Sigurd and their descendants used during the holy war, appear in Awakening. - About the Timelines ........... let's break it down right now : Fates alone has 4 different timelines : Birthright , Conquest , Revelation when they unify but fail , and Revelations where they win Shadow Dragon , Shadow of Valentia , Mystery of the Emblem , Awakening , Genealogy of the Holy war and Tharacia 776 lets consider it one timeline since going back to the past to change the future its all a mess. Sacred Stones is the only game by it self. Blazing Sword and Binding Blade (FE7 the prequel and FE6) Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn , the Tellius continent SO if we count all of that , it racks up to 8 DIFFERENT TIMELINES , and maybe with 3 houses it can be up to 11 different timelines due to playing with 3 different houses which logically will have 3 different outcomes.
Was there a continuation of Revelations? It's been a long while since I've looked at it last, but I thought it was solely a continuation of Birthright & Conquest. Although I don't quite remember what timeline Shigure & Azura were from(Assuming that's probably Rev).
oh so , Fates have this DLC called as "Inheritor of Fates" , where the parents from Conquest and Birthright are defeated and their children have to follow it. It's like Birthright and Conquest timelines cross with each other , with Shigure that came from a Revelation timeline where they fail. So the inheritor of fates is like a prequel to the Revelations that we play where you clear.
I have found that every Fire Emblem game is linked and most are in the same world. The main reason is that Owain has knowledge of Blazing Sword, Binding Blade, Sacred Stones, Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn BEFORE going to the outrealms. I don't know about Three House because I haven't finished it yet.
Oh let me double up for ya. Laura Bailey doesnt voice them anymore (think its the Union thing)... but was replaced FOR BOTH by Alexis Tipton Its a bit of a mess as Bailey still voiced Trunks in TFC, with Clinkenbeard as 18, but in Super its Tipton and Meredith Mccoy
important things you forgot to mention: - Mila and duma were part of the divine dragon tribe. - Grima was born in archanea (especifically in thabes) *BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY* - Everyone on shadows of valentia got a happy ending except faye.
That's non-canon. Post game content is typically always non-canon in most games. Only the first exalt was able to seal Grima before Awakening. And no, Marth isn't the first exalt. It's Marth's father, or another of Marth's ancestors. Edit: Meant to say Descendant.
@@katowoozy3664 Who said that? Where did you get that info from? Act 6 in SOV was specifically made to add an origin story to Grima since he didn't have one in Awakening. Alm and Celica sealed baby Grima away until he awakened again which Marth's descendant sealed away and eventually became the first Exalt of Ylisse.
Honestly, a very good video. Though there are some things that I think might have been worth mentioning: 1) How the events of Jugdral connect back to the Archanea (maybe even the theory that Tyrfing and the Archanean Falchion are the same blade). 2) The creation of the two Falchions themselves and how Naga entrusted one of them to the gods of Valentia; Duma and Mila. 3) The Creation of Grima as seen in Shadows of Valentia and how that plays into Awakening's events.
Tyring and Falchion are confirmed to be completely different. Tyrfing was given to the crusader Baldr at the Miracle of Dahna by an unnamed dragon (not Naga).
*Talking about recruiting Tiki while Radd kills her* That's Mangs for ya. Hope Genealogy and Thracia's remakes help make their place in the timeline more clear beyond the vague ideas we currently have, could also see them using the other Echoes games to try and truly connect the games or at least make their references between the universes (weapons from one appearing in another and Ike's travelling to Archanea through the Outrealm, likely along with Soren, and having a family since its the other game reference in Awakening that seems to be canon) make more sense.
I thought all the games were connected except for Sacred Stones, Fates, and Three Houses... But he didn't mention Binding Blade, Blazing Blade, Path of Radiance, or Radiant Dawn either? Also, if those aren't connected... How does Priam end up in Awakening?
@@redhead_bebs if Ikes descendant ended up in Future Archanea (I'm too lazy to say "Ylisse") then it's definitely plausible that the Archanea Games are in some way connected to Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn. For binding blade and blazing blade...not too sure about that one.
One thing that wasn’t mentioned was when Lucina went back in time she created a new timeline where Chrom and the shepherds defeat Grima resulting in the “Good” timeline. (similar to the Zelda timeline)
Fates and radiant series are a part of this In awakening nohr and hoshido are thought to be mythical kingdoms and a bonus mission had chrom recruiting a descendent of Ike
But those are connections through outrealm gates, they don't take place in the same timeline, that even explains why the ending of RD says Ike was never seen again
@@shinon5109 but what the other dragon's gates as well, many of these gates are belonging to Marth , why would Chrom need to travel to a dimension that he lives in? Meh I dont know I just think this they are connected somehow, we just dont know how.
There's also the flood that caused sea levels to rise. Hence why the world map is not 1 to 1 with the map of Shadow Dragon and Echoes. It's kind of implied that the "Other worlds" are really just alternate continents. It's like how compared to North America, Asia and Africa seem like other worlds.
@@shinon5109 thats inaccurate, priam (ikes descendant) was recruited in a normal paralogue meaning he is part of this world. Ike was said to have ventured into the desert, never to be seen again so it is heavily implied that he crossed the desert to wherever the two wolf laguz were from Fates is still connected (cant remember the specifics of if it was through an outrealm gate or not) but they are still physically connected since the 3 child characters are able to cross over and thus that makes the two timelines connected
@@MegaPokefan97 No they're straight up different worlds. Outrealms screwed with the lore bad. It's more artistic inconsistency. Shadow Dragon and Echoes/Gaiden take place within a year of each other.
Conquest/Birthright/Revelations happened around 1000ish years prior to Awakening. In one of the DLC missions in Conquest, Corrin, and Felicia go into a portal which travels them into the future and they meet up with Chrom, Lisa, and Frederick. When Corrin and Felicia leave, Chrom doesn't believe them when they say they are from the legendary kingdom of Nohr. Right after that, they find Robin lying on the ground
Radiant dawn is my favorite fe game. It’d be nice if there was something that connected that one as well as sacred stones, the blazing blade games, and fate games into timelines
It is so amazing that every game I play there is a timeline y'all have for it. Any time this pops into my head, I know who to go to. Thank you so much for all of the amazing content!
@@DarkGreenFire Fire Emblem Echoes: The Geneology of War. With geopolitics being what it is today I do not see Nintendo putting the title 'Holy War' in the remake.
Nice and accurate timeline of Archanea, Valentia, & Jugdral! Surprising since most people barely look at the last of those three and sweep it under the rug with it being Japan exclusive. (for now anyway!) Elibe was always my favorite continent so if we could see a break down of that timeline sometime later on that would be cool! Though of course as one FE youtuber has been showcasing the past few days. The plotholes in the lore with the prequel contradicting the sequel and Binding Blade and Blazing Sword having a fanslation and the laziest translation and writing team on planet earth respectively could make things difficult...
I think if they ever remake the games from Elibe, they'll fix the lore to fit. (Well... I HOPE they do anyway.) I have a feeling they didn't plan on making FE7 a prequel when they first developed Binding Blade.
Fates is also connected as before and after Awakening. It’s before Awakening because of the DLC “Before Awakening” where Corrin’s army help Chrom and co fight some Vala soldiers before Chrom meets Robin... but also after Awakening because of Owain (Odin), Severa (Selena), and Inigo (Laslow) coming from after Awakening was finished and went though the Deep realm... its complicated The Tellius games (Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn) are connected to Awakening with Ike’s descendent, Priam. This connects every Fire Emblem except the GBA games of The Binding Blade, FE8, and Sacred Stones (Three Houses is unknown since it’s not out yet)
Owain, Severa, and Inigo went through the Deep Realm back in time to Fate's events. Fates still stakes place before Awakening. There doesn't need to be any time travel plothole either since the three don't become the ancestors of their original parents or anything.
Not exactly the three heroes Owain, Severa and Inigo go to the world of Fates to fulfill Anankos wishes for them to help Corrin save his land and his corrupted state and became Retainers for Nohr royals who knows how long before Corrin began her journey and in that DLC Corrin helps Chrom well after those 3 are retainers so i think they exist in another alternate universe and can visit them via outrealm at any time or unless your that worlds god you can do anything anyways even bring the future to the past before meeting their past lol also on a lighter note Lucina traveled to her past an effectively created an alternate timeline without changing her ruined present
I think Path of Radiance/Radiant Down as well as Fates don't take place on these continents, which makes them irrelevant for this timeline. Chrom mentioning the continent of Hoshido and Nohr might as well just be something like "Oh, you're from THAT far away, buddy?" And Priam just could've traveled far away from Tellius and ended up in Ylisse.
@@veldarinsolaris9636 I think Priam ends up in Ylisse because Ike, leaves in fire emblem 10 Ikes lineage probably don't even know the continent they originate from
Not all the FE games are connected. Because IS doesn't quite care about their stories so much, people have just thrown these games into separate Outrealms Fates, Radiant series, literally every game with Falchion The reason this is mostly true is because of a paralogue DLC in Fates, in which Anankos refers to Naga as the God of "This world" to solidify evidence that he isn't from the Awakening world and nothing in Fates is. Save for the three children, of course.
Four different timelines? Elibe, Tellius, Magvel, Fodlen, Fates, and the main line (the one discussed in this video). There's six timelines. Edit: I find it kinda interesting that after master Kaga left, timelines and alternative universes became a thing in FE. Edit 2: I've played enough (and spoiled myself a little) of Three Houses to make the statement that it is, indeed, in it's own universe. There's also the thing that the *devs* said it's in its own universe...
Unless they are all in the same collective universe just very far away from eachother, except for Fates but then there is the idea that each of those games have their own set of Fire emblems...
Really? Tell me where's Archanea is during the *world wide flood* that takes place before the events of the Tellius games? Tell me, why does Chrom say that the Radiant Hero, AKA Ike, is from another world? Tell me, where's the Divine Dragons in the Tellius games? Tell me, why is Naga worshipped in Archanea instead of Ashunera?
I think I haven’t had a thrill as good as the catacombs in echoes for quite sometime. It was pretty dark descending to each level. It literally felt like entering the pits of hell. Specially with al the tombs narrating the horror of each floor. Amazing gameplay, I shed tears for such a masterpiece, because at the end it brilliantly connected awakening, and explained grimas origins.
He's like an... Artificial dragon. Like a "perfect" creation or something? Would explain why him being evil is not caused by madness. It's more of an overall hatred for humans, as well as jealousy for not being fully human himself (at least Heroes implies this). Would also explain how the dude is immortal, and can kill other dragons without a falchion. And how Falchion cannot even kill him, just put him to sleep for a while. Time paradox killed him, which was kind of a cheap ending. Not fully a dragon, nor a human, not even fully alive. Lonely existence it must be, lmao. xD
If anyone’s wondering where fates fits in it’s around 50p years before awakening I’d say because chrom mentions in the dlc about hoshido and nohr being mythical countries and three houses is from 860 something to 1186 I’m pretty sure
You forgot about Grima in SoV and the first Exalt. 1,000 years after Marth, Grima reappears after being slain SoV and the first Exalt makes a pact with Naga, founding Ylisse, creating the Exalted bloodline, the Awakening ritual to unlock Falchion’s true power, and the mark of Naga. There was also a lancer princess that marries the exalt so it is kinda easy to confuse them with Marth and Caeda.
For those who don't know. Fates/if happens on a parallel world to the main one and this has a seperate timeline and corrin seems to take the place of marth but only as a hero king/queen, they are more like chrome and Robin fused together 3 houses happens in another world aswell and has its own marth in the form of byleth (they look very much alike in the head for the male version)
I feel like one of those dragons was Anankos, we learn that he is one of the ancient silent dragons after all, and he did go insane in Fates, he also had a separate human self which became Corrin’s father, idk how old Anankos is either, but idk, I feel like it makes sense.
@@maninthetrenchcoat5603 Mediocre story? Then that means it's a complete garbage pile in every way possible with no good things about it according to Fire Emblem fandom.
@@V-Jes Yeah dude the Fire Emblem Fandom is the worst. Just because Fates story/writing isn't the best. People act like everything about the game is bad. They literally call Fates the worst FE game ever made in history. Because gameplay, music and replability doesn't matter I guess.
@@NANOKARMA I don't know exacts, but she does mention another continent where there are creatures like her can transform into cats, wolves, birds, and lions in support conversations.
Nice rundown of the timeline, I guess the main timeline anyway. There are two small things to point out: 1) Grima actually makes an appearance in Act 6 of Shadows of Valentia if you make it to the end of post-game chapter. It's a nice little easter egg knowing Grima existed while Chrom/Lucina's ancestors were fighting their own battles. 2) I don't think it's ever been fully clarified how, but Ike's descendant Priam is an additional character in Awakening and he carries Ike's sword Ragnell. At the very least he's travelled from another world to Ylisse; at most Ike's home Tellius exists in the same world as Marth's and Chrom's. Then there are the Fates crossovers...this series is more interwoven than you'd think.
Worth mentioning that during Shadows of Valentia, Alm and Celica go to Archanea to explore one of the western regions (later known as Ragna Ferox in Awakening). While there they unleash the ancient dragon experiment Grima on the world. Alm and Celica defeat it, but it survives, and later returns only to be 'killed' by the First Exalt, a descendant of Marth, leaving it in a Medeus semi-alive state until Awakening.
I think you should've talked a bit about Jugrdal's backstory with Naga and the other dragons, and also about Grima's origin story, but it was a pretty solid video anyway!
"Don't cross your fingers about using your Fallen teammates, they unfortunately stay dead" he says, while talking about the only game in the franchise where you have the opportunity to resurect one.
In my theory, Archaneia has two universes. In one all Kaga's games are included (FE4-FE5-FE1-FE2-FE3). The other universe is the remake universe (FE11-FE15-FE12-FE13). I think this because in Awakening some characters mention a novel that has the same plot as FE4, so it could be a tale here.
Sumia does mention the FE4 novel, but in the English translation it's called "Ribald Tales of the Faith War", and she mentions that while it's based on true events, the characters in said novel are all made up. So I'd say FE4 definitely happened in Awakening's world.
And also the Holy weapons are in Awakening as well though in a bit of a weakened state do to its aging over time, lost its need to have one with Holy blood to wield them... now anyone can wield a holy weapon and that includes the Naga Tkme
A bit of a correction, in Genealogy of the Holy War during the Battle of Bahalla Finn and the children aren't the only survivors. Several characters are later confirmed to have also survived like Aideen, Brigid, and Erinys (although she dies to illness later) while others fates are left ambiguous (Ayra being the biggest example). And then in the case Lewyn he did die but was revived by Foresette
Now that Three Houses is out, I'd love to see another Fire Emblem timeline video! Doesn't have to be for Fodlan per se, I'd love to see the history of the other games laid out!
You know what's funny that in genealogy, the old man warned sigurd that if he gets to close to Deirdre then bad stuff would happen and it did, also it happen to arvis as well....
8:44 A funny thing is that in Echoes you can have yogurt as an item. Despite pasteurization being discovered in 1905 and not 606. Alm also mentions that he likes to read comic books and not magic books. But the most probable thing is that comic were created (Or, at least, distributed massively) between 1446 and 1789.
You know what I would like in Fire Emblem? Something that explains what it is, and why is it present on every timeline and continent. Maybe in Three Houses they can expand a bit more about it, because, honestly, the Fire Emblem doesn’t matter at all for anyone, except in Shadow Dragon and New Mystery, but that’s because it opens chests. I don’t necessarily want it to have more of an impact in the game, just that if they would explain more what it is, that would be great.
I thinl they should make a main timeline for Fire Emblem Marth should be the main timeline and everything a apinoff. Like in Gundam timeline with UC timeline.
*I’m glad that you fixed the correct timelines lists except on website that confuses me. On website, it only shows the timelines of these games but not the actual timelines of each characters takes place.*
You can say that Tellius also exists in the Archanea timeline since Ike's descendant, Priam, joins Chrom's army weilding Ike's signature weapon Ragnell. Though that may have been because Ike found an OuterRealms Gate after leaving Tellius. Who knows at this point.
Are the Xenologues even canon? The continuity is really muddy in those, I think the devs just wanted to add Ike in Awakening without actually adding him.
I really like this video, but would like to see a follow up video discussing the other games. After all Eliwood is cool. Lynndis is awesome, and Roy is our boy!!! Also it would be interesting to learn where exactly Ike's story comes into play; as well as the Sacred Stones. Please talk about these in a future video.
It should also be noted that path of radiance and radiant dawn while not part of the same timeline, Ike apparently does find a way into the archenea timeline and his descendant Priam is in awakening, and fates has a very weird time paradox relationship with awakening where three of the children characters from awakening after the events of that game wind up in fates yet during the events of the dlc they also somehow temporarily go back to right before the events of the first mission of awakening (awakening fucks with the timeline SO much)
I think Awakening taking place 2000 years later is the only REAL qualm I have with the story, not including nitpicks. I'd turn a blind eye if they retconned it to be like 200 years later or something. Anyway, amazing work. I actually had no idea Jugdral took place in the same world as Archanea and Valentia. Does that mean Tellius and Elibe take place in the same world as well? I mean, we do get Priam in Awakening (Ike's descendant)... I like to think Magvel is folklore, only because it's lore is more compact than the others.
Tellius is entirely in its own universe, as Priam's ancestor (Ike) is outright stated to be from another universe in Awakening. And if they weren't in different universes, who'd actually be at the top of the deity hierarchy? Naga or Ashunera? Elibe is a little bit harder to say if it actually is or isn't in the same universe as Archanea, as the dragons of Elibe fled the world of Elibe because of humans destructive nature (and maaaaybe them going a little mad when in the presence of humans), which is kinda similar to what happened to the dragons in Archanea.
Thanks for clearing that up! Maybe we'll get answers on Elibe as Fire Emblem continues to make games, but even if it's self contained, no complaints. No need for them all to connect.
So, correct me if I’m wrong, but with Three Houses now released, there are six timelines. 1: The one this video went over with Jugdral, Archanea, and Valentia, 2: The Elibe games, Binding Blade and Blazing Sword/Blade, 3: Only Sacred Stones in this third one, so it technically doesn’t count, 4: The Telius games, Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, 5: Only Fates in this one too, though maaaaaybe it’s tied to the first timeline, since it’s canon that Fates takes place right before (And also after somehow, timeline and alternate world fuckery) Awakening really kicks off, And 6: Three Houses so far.
It's commonly believed that Walhart is the direct descendant of Alm and Celica like how Chrom and his sisters are to Marth, but nowhere in any game is it outright stated. Sure, there's huge hints, but there's no reason to state it like this is a proven fact.
Thank you. I'm honestly kinda tired of people spouting this as the truth when there's nothing in-game that actually says it's the case. The only argument for it I see is "well, Walhart is the emperor of Valm", but for all we know he may not have been born into the role of leading his country, hell he might not even be nobility. Him ruling the continent was done via conquest, who's to say ruling his small nation wasn't the same?
There's actually evidence against it. Alm and Celica's ending in Shadows of Valentia states that their lineage would go on to last a thousand years. That probably means that their last descendant died during the events of the First Exalt's story.
@@LightsaberPhoenix Did it say their lineage or just the One Kingdom of Valentia? Because there could still be heirs, just the nation itself no longer existing, just like how Chrom and family are heirs of Marth but Altea no longer exists.
@@AdmiralOctopus This is Alm's ending: "As first king of the One Kingdom of Valentia, Alm spent his life restoring the land to glory. He would be remembered fondly by later generations as Saint-King Alm I, who cast off the gods' oppressive yoke and founded a dynasty that would last a thousand years." It says dynasty, so that means heirs, not the country
in a fates dlc, chrom mentions that the kingdoms of hoshido and nohr are “mythical,” meaning they could be one of two things: a fictional myth entirely, like atlantis, about a water dragon going mad & his child being the only one to save the two kingdoms; or an actual thing that happened long before jugdral, and it was just two kingdoms that tore each other apart. even though corrin & their army enter ylisse through an alternate dimension portal (bc that sort of thing apparently grows on trees, so to speak; they have a different world for each child available in the game, after all), chrom hints that the events of fates could have theoretically happened in this timeline as well. so that’s interesting!
Hope you all enjoy the video, are you excited for Three Houses? Also, what would you like us to see us do a timeline on next? Let us know in the comments below.

So basically Lucina is Modern Seliph only she used time travel to solve her problems.
Yeah my daughter is pretty awesome
Now that I think about it, Owain could have been the modern Leif of his own game.
Fates was kinda like this.
Things to consider :
- The Crusaders are an important part of the story of Genealogy of the holy war.
- Seliph and Leif are cousins (Seliph's father and Leif's mother are siblings)
- Leif have an older sister named Altena
- It's stated that Marth is a direct descendant of Sigurd, and probably the Tyrfing is the Falchion (PROBABLY)
- Camus , a paladin that wield Gradivus , a general that Marth battles him , he ends up in Valentia with no memories about his past.
- Camus then took the name of Zeke in Valentia, but after those events, he returned to Archanea as Sirius.
- The Falcion is the made out of the fang of Naga (she only has two) , which one of Alm's have it and the other one is on Marth
- Falchion design has change from Marth's era to Lucina's era
- The legendary weapons from the crusaders, that Sigurd and their descendants used during the holy war, appear in Awakening.
- About the Timelines ........... let's break it down right now :
Fates alone has 4 different timelines : Birthright , Conquest , Revelation when they unify but fail , and Revelations where they win
Shadow Dragon , Shadow of Valentia , Mystery of the Emblem , Awakening , Genealogy of the Holy war and Tharacia 776 lets consider it one timeline since going back to the past to change the future its all a mess.
Sacred Stones is the only game by it self.
Blazing Sword and Binding Blade (FE7 the prequel and FE6)
Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn , the Tellius continent
SO if we count all of that , it racks up to 8 DIFFERENT TIMELINES , and maybe with 3 houses it can be up to 11 different timelines due to playing with 3 different houses which logically will have 3 different outcomes.
@@henryreturns1397 Yeha, I knew about the DLC, just wasn't sure how Rev. played a role in it. But alright, makes sense then.
Woah woah wait, when did they confirm Marth was related to Sigurd?
OMG that's so funny the voice of Lucina Laura Baliey voiced Kid Trunks! HA
Laura Bailey: are they from the future? Then I’ll voice’em
Oh let me double up for ya. Laura Bailey doesnt voice them anymore (think its the Union thing)... but was replaced FOR BOTH by Alexis Tipton
Its a bit of a mess as Bailey still voiced Trunks in TFC, with Clinkenbeard as 18, but in Super its Tipton and Meredith Mccoy
Laura Bailey is the best
Cartoon Black Widow's VA as well
She also voices the Boss in SR3
important things you forgot to mention:
- Mila and duma were part of the divine dragon tribe.
- Grima was born in archanea (especifically in thabes)
*BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY*
- Everyone on shadows of valentia got a happy ending except faye.
Pretty sure she gives herself a happy ending each night to thoughts of Alm.
Sonya didn’t get a happy ending :(
Oh yeah Sonya studies the dark magic until she becomes a witch like her sisters if i recall correctly
Sonya got a horrible ending.
hmm faye
"It's just a game, but's it's got some of the heaviest lore out there"

There’s a theory that 6 and 7 actually take place in the same timeline, and that the Scouring is what caused the dragons to go mad
Fletcher Gaddy it’s not a theory, 7 is a prequel to 6, showing the lord of FE6 (Roy’s) parents
@@colinkane4679 .
Too bad that theory was debunked
Colin Kane I’m talking about how 6 & 7 are connected to the timeline covered in this video
@@colinkane4679 he's talking about a theory about FE 6 and 7 taking place in the same timeline as the other 4 mentioned in the video....
So is nobody gonna talk about the aftergame in echoes that expands on grima's backstory?
So sad he didn’t mention it :(
You forgot about act 6 of echoes where all and celica find a weaker grima and seal it for 2000 years
Unrelated but anime has corrupted my mind to an point where i cant read "act" and "echoes" in the same sentence without thinking about punching ghosts
That's non-canon. Post game content is typically always non-canon in most games. Only the first exalt was able to seal Grima before Awakening. And no, Marth isn't the first exalt. It's Marth's father, or another of Marth's ancestors.
Edit: Meant to say Descendant.
@@katowoozy3664 first exalt is Marth's descendant, but not Chrom's father
@@katowoozy3664 Who said that? Where did you get that info from? Act 6 in SOV was specifically made to add an origin story to Grima since he didn't have one in Awakening. Alm and Celica sealed baby Grima away until he awakened again which Marth's descendant sealed away and eventually became the first Exalt of Ylisse.
@@katowoozy3664 That dosen't seem plausible in this case.
Honestly, a very good video. Though there are some things that I think might have been worth mentioning:
1) How the events of Jugdral connect back to the Archanea (maybe even the theory that Tyrfing and the Archanean Falchion are the same blade).
*Talking about recruiting Tiki while Radd kills her*
That's Mangs for ya.
"There hasn't been an official timeline released"
*Of all the games connected to each other*

Mygad, FE has this rich lore? They could totally make a TV series out of this timeline alone!
If you played the other games besides the newer ones (bar Three Houses that game has a gigantic amount of lore) yea.
Great, now I want a Fire Emblem anime!
Aye
@@korinoriz I've only played the handheld ones from the GBA, DS, and 3DS era.
Fates and radiant series are a part of this
In awakening nohr and hoshido are thought to be mythical kingdoms and a bonus mission had chrom recruiting a descendent of Ike
Ike was said to have ventured into the desert, never to be seen again so it is heavily implied that he crossed the desert to wherever the two wolf laguz were from
Fates is still connected (cant remember the specifics of if it was through an outrealm gate or not) but they are still physically connected since the 3 child characters are able to cross over and thus that makes the two timelines connected
@@MegaPokefan97 No they're straight up different worlds. Outrealms screwed with the lore bad.
It's more artistic inconsistency. Shadow Dragon and Echoes/Gaiden take place within a year of each other.

Me: Laughs in Linde dead
Well i use merric he absolutely destroyed gharnef
Kinda disappointing since i expect an epic fight between them
Conquest/Birthright/Revelations happened around 1000ish years prior to Awakening.

I love how he reminds you team mates stay dead in the one game where you can revive them
would love to see a breakdown of the other timelines! this was very infotational.
Nathan roll Ahem, for Elibe, FE7-FE6, for Tellius, FE9-FE10. Sacred Stones, Fates and 3H are all stand alone titles. There you go.
I think because of Priam, Tellius is a part of the Arcanea timeline.
Fates is also connected as before and after Awakening. It’s before Awakening because of the DLC “Before Awakening” where Corrin’s army help Chrom and co fight some Vala soldiers before Chrom meets Robin... but also after Awakening because of Owain (Odin), Severa (Selena), and Inigo (Laslow) coming from after Awakening was finished and went though the Deep realm... its complicated
The Tellius games (Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn) are connected to Awakening with Ike’s descendent, Priam.
Isn't Fates in the same timeline, Chrom makes mention of it when Corrin ends up in Ylisse, also Ike's descendant shows up in Awakening with Ragnell
Because IS doesn't quite care about their stories so much, people have just thrown these games into separate Outrealms
Fates, Radiant series, literally every game with Falchion
The reason this is mostly true is because of a paralogue DLC in Fates, in which Anankos refers to Naga as the God of "This world" to solidify evidence that he isn't from the Awakening world and nothing in Fates is. Save for the three children, of course.
Non canon cheap fanservice DLC
remember the outrealms, IS's version of the multiverse
Thanks for making this!
@Revelation Tellius is not part of the main timeline. The Awakening Paralogue isn't really canon to the Tellius games.
Fates is connected to the Archaneea series

Grima isn't really a true dragon according to echoes act 6
Grima is a mix between Forneus blood, divine dragon blood and a part of an insect.
Lonely existence it must be, lmao. xD
For me the Genealogy of the Holy War have one of the best stories of all Fire Emblem
Same, it’s so surreal knowing Sigurd as our first playable FE protagonist/Lord. Possibly Ike as well
If anyone’s wondering where fates fits in it’s around 50p years before awakening I’d say because chrom mentions in the dlc about hoshido and nohr being mythical countries and three houses is from 860 something to 1186 I’m pretty sure
YES!!! This was great! I’d love to see you do the other timelines!

Aideen
And eyvel/briggid

Fates/if happens on a parallel world to the main one and this has a seperate timeline and corrin seems to take the place of marth but only as a hero king/queen, they are more like chrome and Robin fused together
3 houses happens in another world aswell and has its own marth in the form of byleth (they look very much alike in the head for the male version)

Fire Emblem three houses is amazing at story telling and tactical gameplay. Recommend picking it up!
You'd think they would have mentioned Grima's back story established in Echoes...
That was absolutely amazing! all this time I didn't know Walhart was Alm & Celica's descendant
I didnt even catch that lol
Worth mentioning that during Shadows of Valentia, Alm and Celica go to Archanea to explore one of the western regions (later known as Ragna Ferox in Awakening). While there they unleash the ancient dragon experiment Grima on the world. Alm and Celica defeat it, but it survives, and later returns only to be 'killed' by the First Exalt, a descendant of Marth, leaving it in a Medeus semi-alive state until Awakening.
Alm and Celica beating Grima isn't canon, it's just a secret boss. A descendant 1000 years later beats him.
I think you should've talked a bit about Jugrdal's backstory with Naga and the other dragons, and also about Grima's origin story, but it was a pretty solid video anyway!
I mean, the 12 crusaders were not even mentionned so...
A lot of lore and context missing, but surprisingly more accurate than I thought.
He looks like that guy from the bee movie
Thanks for the timeline breakdown. It really put things in perspective!!
I need to play the older Fire Emblem games tbh
A bit of a correction, in Genealogy of the Holy War during the Battle of Bahalla Finn and the children aren't the only survivors. Several characters are later confirmed to have also survived like Aideen, Brigid, and Erinys (although she dies to illness later) while others fates are left ambiguous (Ayra being the biggest example). And then in the case Lewyn he did die but was revived by Foresette

Where's our favourite Valentian Royal Nephew? LIES LIES LIES No Berkut? LIES!
When u realize that dark souls loteis based on fire emblem lore... the fire, the dragons...Am I the only one?
You can also recruit a descendant of Ike in Awakening. Which makes all games pretty much all linked together.
Also The Great flood of Tellius could be the reason why some of the Continents reformed, and that could make Judgral and Archenea the same continent
Are the Xenologues even canon? The continuity is really muddy in those, I think the devs just wanted to add Ike in Awakening without actually adding him.
The "Radiant Hero" who is Priam's ancestor is explicitly stated to have come from another world, somewhere in the outrealms.
we have Fates to thank for opening that can of worms
@@El_Surge Actually, we can blame this one Squarely on Awakening. Awakening introduced the Outrealms.
Yessssss we need more fire emblem... dooo it
It should also be noted that path of radiance and radiant dawn while not part of the same timeline, Ike apparently does find a way into the archenea timeline and his descendant Priam is in awakening, and fates has a very weird time paradox relationship with awakening where three of the children characters from awakening after the events of that game wind up in fates yet during the events of the dlc they also somehow temporarily go back to right before the events of the first mission of awakening (awakening fucks with the timeline SO much)
You forget a really important part of the timeline
Smash bros
Well you do a timeline on the metroid series and Doctor who serials as well.
Sorry wrote series wrong.
I can’t believe they made games about those characters from super smash Bros
I’m literally only watching this to find out what the friggidy heck is a corrin
Jack Hills Corrin is the son of Anankos the astral dragon and Mikoto the princess of valla is from fire emblem fates.
Lol I'm watching to find out what FE Valentia is
So, correct me if I’m wrong, but with Three Houses now released, there are six timelines.
1: The one this video went over with Jugdral, Archanea, and Valentia,
2: The Elibe games, Binding Blade and Blazing Sword/Blade,
3: Only Sacred Stones in this third one, so it technically doesn’t count,
4: The Telius games, Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn,
5: Only Fates in this one too, though maaaaaybe it’s tied to the first timeline, since it’s canon that Fates takes place right before (And also after somehow, timeline and alternate world fuckery) Awakening really kicks off,
And 6: Three Houses so far.
@@AdmiralOctopus This is Alm's ending:
"As first king of the One Kingdom of Valentia, Alm spent his life restoring the land to glory. He would be remembered fondly by later generations as Saint-King Alm I, who cast off the gods' oppressive yoke and founded a dynasty that would last a thousand years."
It says dynasty, so that means heirs, not the country
True
in a fates dlc, chrom mentions that the kingdoms of hoshido and nohr are “mythical,” meaning they could be one of two things: a fictional myth entirely, like atlantis, about a water dragon going mad & his child being the only one to save the two kingdoms; or an actual thing that happened long before jugdral, and it was just two kingdoms that tore each other apart. even though corrin & their army enter ylisse through an alternate dimension portal (bc that sort of thing apparently grows on trees, so to speak; they have a different world for each child available in the game, after all), chrom hints that the events of fates could have theoretically happened in this timeline as well. so that’s interesting!
