This is an UNBELIEVABLY underrated movie!! As was "covenant" I'd love to see a third prequel to see how David ends up on the planet where Alien first started...when Ripley first came across the engineers ship.
Covenant was downright bad , but I remember liking Prometheus I saw it in 3d , normal theatrical and then one more time in 3d , I actually have a STEELBOOK 3d edition and this movie with right TV I have top of the range 4k 3d Samsung from that time this 3d presentation is amazing but active 3d not passive, as well as Mad Max Fury Road in 3d , but again Covenant was such a disappointment, script was so bad, killing Shaw was a disgrace, Ramulus is ok but it felt like a fan made movie and that horrible horrible CGI my God.
Covenant was well made and enjoyable, but for me, forgettable. But i do love Prometheus, not completely, but i liked the direction and i still wish for more. Thats why i got very surprised by the Romulus movie, felt like my 1st time watching Alien as a kid and with the bonus of some Prometheus lore connections.
What I originally loved about Prometheus was that it was presenting the elements of Alien in a different way. And then that got thrown out of the window and in Covenant they made it part of the canon and I haven’t watched it since,
Loved Prometheus. It took a big risk. Felt familiar yet original. Some scenes with the engineers were cut that made the movie confusing . It didn't quite land as an origin story as it left people with more questions than answers. People are still confused as to whether David created the first xenomorph ( or protomorph).
I still feel that the Engineers were the most fascinating element of the entire Alien franchise, and we only got 5 to 10 minutes of them with this one film. FOX studio (or whoever owns and produces the Alien franchise now) missed out on a huge opportunity with that story and lore, which is so rich and mysterious and had so much potential. It easily could have created the most interesting Scify stories ever. Ones that aren't fantasy, but actually grounded in a plausible reality, with realistic characters and genuinely relatable humanity. I hope and pray that a studio will actually have the courage and vision to give us at least one movie that really gives us more of the Engineers some day.
Seeing all of these "behind the scenes" clips as well as concept artwork, I feel like way too much was left on the cutting room floor...or just in development limbo. Prometheus could have been so much more iconic. Same way I felt about Coppola's Dracula film.
It moved from being Giger-esque to being something more organic.. what I kind of started now to appreciate in Giger is how it is half-machine half-organic.. people usually can do organic or mechanic.. they can’t do a well-balanced hybrid between the two..
You wouldn't think it was the same guy that directed both movies. I am a massive alien fan and went to the pics to watch prometheus but thought it was dreadful.
The space jockeys sent out a warning signal to keep others safe from his destruction, but the engineers just want to act like savages when they saw a few humans. Lame
You wish you could have accomplished 1/100 of what Ridley Scott accomplished. You must be one of the smartest people around to be able to make a diagnosis from your computer.
to gay for me, Weaver in her panties in the first film was perfect, now if they had changed prometheus to a woman that would have sold more tickets. KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE!

As a big alien fan! despite what people thought of this film! I bloody loved it and understood what it was about.
My problem with all of films after Aliens is the same. They are just rehashes with nothing original to offer.
I really enjoyed this movie 😊😊
Who wants to see Noomi Rapace come back playing Lisbeth Salander in another Promethius / Alien Movie?
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
She is terrific
Hmm...Ridley scott uses his left hand to draw.
Brilliant film!!! Loved every second of it.

One of my favorite movies.
I really enjoyed it, can’t wait for the next one. Been waiting for sometime now.
the original script would have been way cooler, but none the less this movie is still one of my favs

Thought it was a really good movie. In fact I might watch it again tomorrow.
I thought this was better than any of the Alien films. It shows how it all started

Its probably too hard to replicate Giger's ideas, it seems no one really "gets" it
esse filme parece que ficou melhor com o tempo! Hoje vemos o quanto ele foi inovador no ambiente e nos efeitos obtidos
European version? Not more censorship for fragile US audiences!
This movies story is far more interesting than a primal alien hunting humans. Too bad they kinda took it nowhere in the subsequent film covenant
If he was a god, he wouldn’t need a suit, because he would be able to breathe in all the environments he’d created
And if we were made in his image, so would we.
So what is a ‘god’😅
It's a hollywood movie brother, relax
Bro he’s not god, they even questioned who created them. They’re just super humans who created us, it’s like us creating ai
God-like. Not a literal god

They should've given them hair
‘penultimate’ means second to last….. i think he used that wrong.
Ridley Scott has early onset dementia its very clear, we will get nothing else from him sadly.
He is currently working on many films including Gladiator 2.
Hey everyone! We found one more keyboard doctor! This time he managed to diagnose a disease just by looking at a YT video! Astonishing 😂
Youre idiot

this was not a good movie no matter how hard i try to like it
Yes it was, the idea of making life and becoming a God was good
Exactly!!! The writing was total crap
@@eriksniped5111it was an awful movie
No.
No, it wasn't good. Ambitious? Yes. Good? No.
Really an awful miserable movie. Sad
This movie simply lost its way and ended up a beautiful disaster. It was supposed to be amazing, but it was whack.
