This is exactly how we built cantilever gates. Bow brace is a must too. Great video👍
Love you guys. I’ve learned a lot ❤❤❤❤
Very Nice Gates Thanks again👍👍
Awesome 🎉
Great work and awesome video 👍
Thank you 👍
That's our Nicholas. Ever since his dad bought him his first tool kit as a kid, he's been building and fixing things. Alsways was looking at things and going there's a better way to do that. Let's figure it out. Miss that kid every day but so proud of him. Much love from the oregon mattson clan.
We appreciate having him around!
I like this. Your chainlink chair could use some cushions.
Ever do wood cantilever gates?
Love your videos. Big Like for that chair! 👍
No, we pretty much just work in steel. 👍🏻
We also do our diagonals in the same direction along the entire gate and I think we are the only ones that do that in our area lol. We had someone give us drawings for a cantilever gate and it included an angle iron that ran the full length of the gate. We did it and it helped with keeping the gate super straight, so ever since then, we use an angle iron on our gates to keep them straight.
Great video 💪💪💪
Thanks!
i am a contractor but dont do fencing by trade ... Love the technical aspect to your videos and explaining why you do what you do 💪💪 Keep up the good work
I appreciate that!
Per usual, that was fantastic, even if we didn’t get enough Dan.
Who's Dan? 🤣
That's how we brace our semi cantilever, we run our full cantilevers reverse hung with the drive rail as the supports on the back. That way you don't have a big gap under the gate and is twice as strong!
very awesome, would the rolling gate jig be as usable if it were on a angle? then you could possibly tuck it in close to a corner and not have to sacrifice floor space
Gotta admit, y'all boys got it going on!
Well thanks!
I just bulit one 5 times bigger .i aprove of your work 👍.
Well thanks!
Hi your videos are like a mini course. I have been fabricating gates since the 80's but never had to install a cantilever system. Checked your site for the wheels but a weight limit is not stated. Whats the max weight of the gate to be used with your wheels.
Also is there any difference in how smooth the gate runs with square tubing with the matching profile rollers vs round tubing. Thanks
The weight limit is 4,000 lbs.
The smoothness of the rollers is the same as long as your talking comparing nylon rollers to nylon rollers. there's no difference between square and round.
Certainly not an engineer... the bow brace certainly adds rigidity and seems like a great idea. Just curious, didn't see any truss rods. Great info even for a old guy like me.😂
New to your channel...what does SWi stand for?
Service With Integrity. It's our local business name.
Also, what does GSD on your tees stand for?
Get S**t Done 👍🏻
Thinking I could about handle assembling the chair...
You? For sure!
Just finished up a 48' canti #midwestfence
I absolutely love the chair!! Is tit for sale?
Haha! Not this one! Sorry about that. 😊
So, you guys don't have to grind off the galvanize before welding?
Short answer, it depends.
I’ve been say “fencing is not a spectator sport” for years now. Where do I pick one of those shirts up?

Can this be done using pallets? I got a bunch of old ones.
🤣🤣 Probably. Give it a shot!
@@SWiFence I'll let you know. Maybe I'll start something new. Take the fencing biz by storm.
Do I need to tell you if your guys weld the galvanized long enough, without fresh air breathing apparatus, they will sue you for failure to properly educate and supply the proper PPE.
Fans blowing the fumes away is not good enough.
Ask me how I know!!
Your system is cool, a lot of this video is the same ways we do and as always great video. We to have way too small of a shop but our way is a lot easier and takes up less space. Maybe i'll make a small video next week since i Have a 55 footer to build. I would suggest getting a 2-5 ton over head crane to flip your gates. We pick up one side up and lower it to the ground after we move the stands then connect it to the other side near the middle and lift it and move it over and lower it back on stands and pick up the other end with the over head crane on a I-beam well worth having one. Your shop is way nicer than ours btw. If i do make a video don't judge video skills i'm not as experienced like you guys are. Sharing ideas is the only way our industry can grow.
Love it! Share away. 👍🏻
@@SWiFence Didn't have time so far we were Audited today so we spent time cleaning up Impressions are everything and passed with flying colors LOL. These are the Stands we use easy to build since you can't buy them anywhere and the one vises like that aren't big enough for the sizes we use 2 7/8s etc even Eastern Fence uses these style of stands and they are 125 years in the game, also you can see our overhead crane we use to flip the gates and/or stand it up for the front end loader to get out. ua-cam.com/video/g9ohsH0yNBo/v-deo.htmlsi=q1YhgLWVhGcU14Sd
@@SWiFence This video shows a little of our yard, Nova Scotian beautiful skies, my saw horses that can fold and change height, and my gravity self loading pipe table to weld plates on posts. I'm really interested in your Mesh roller on a moving table, that thing is genius you should be showing that thing it's the star of the show. ua-cam.com/video/YuXAmJ9jKm0/v-deo.html
