Sounds like a solid foundation for the future of Sonic. Still rough around the edges to be sure, but they can definitely build from this going forward.
Sonic Team has been struggling to build a Sonic "formula" for decades but they never really nailed it. They tried it with the Adventure games and the 'boost' series with the Hedgehog Engine, they always seem so close to getting it but never really get there. I'm glad Frontiers is getting a better reception than expected, but if this is the way forward they really need to focus on improving it so it fares better in future titles.
Pretty accurate review Brad and even as someone who is used to and likes the franchise overall, I agree with a lot of takes here. The game has been so much fun that a lot of the flaws have felt pretty minor, minus the buggy camera.
It'd be awesome if there was a hidden skyward chain obscured somewhere in the world and with enough momentum you could run up it thru the clouds and end up in little planet

As someone who got to play the game, i personally think its not worth 60$, maybe 20 at best, you can beat this game and 100% it in a day, the gameplay gets boring after awhile, the story is decent but don't expect a grand ending, most of the cyber space levels are copied from other games like unleashed and generations. in the end this feels like a small adventure compared to any of the other games, id say it is better then forces but id say it doesn't even compare to sonic adventure 1 or 2. The story was written by Ian Flynn who is part of the IDW comic team, i would read the comics just to get some of the references made but also because the comics at the moment are amazing.
@@MsJP34782 I just realized the Wednesday thing, so cool. Back to Sonic, I meant to say it comes out around the same time, and is going to be totally eclipsed by Ragnarok.
