Nice video. I have and enjoy a Phoenix Arms HP-22. I mostly use it for recreational target shooting/plinking. It’s surprisingly accurate for its price. I just recently did some videos featuring HP-22. They were a short video, discussion video, and several ballistics tests results with different ammo. Good to see others enjoy HP-22 as well. Thanks for sharing. Also I just subscribed to your channel.
Pull the slide back a little bit. It'll make it a LOT easier to remove the barrel. Also, you can lock the slide back while reassembling with the safety. I'd recommend also getting the stronger recoil spring from Mcarbo. They also have a trigger spring kit that's easy to install.
@@jdjeep98 it's a $150 gun... is it really worth upgrading anything? That's like upgrading springs and triggers in a hi-point... it's still a cheap plinking gun... but thanks for the advice on disassembly.
Actually the owner manual shows the manufacture recommended how to disassemble and reassemble and that is not the way. Haha. There are easier ways shown on UA-cam. My reason for having one is practice, training, small game and varmints. My Rough Rider revolver is more accurate but it meets my purpose for it. You should only shoot standard velocity in it or close to it and change the recoil spring out about every 1000 rounds. That will avoid cracking the frame or slide. A few high velocity rounds probably won't hurt it but a steady diet or a weak recoil spring will. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! As far as the takedown, the way I did it is the way it said in my manual, however, the reassembly in the manual only says to reverse the takedown. That can cause issues as the spring will pop out constantly. Thanks for mentioning the ammo. I only use standard velocity, but failed to mention it in the video.
@@rickeybullington6314 Well that is a pretty hot load and I wouldn't advise it. A few high velocity probably won't hurt it but a steady diet of it will. If it was me, no I wouldn't. Get yourself a bulk pack of Federal Auto Match or standard velocity and you will be better off.
As many times as I want. Lol. I'll try to tone it down next time. I honestly don't realize how many times I repeat myself. I don't script anything like other channels do. Whatever comes out just gets posted.
Pro tip…once you get the spring fully back and compressed push the slide lock up. Now you can easily attach the barrel. Quirky gun but fun to shoot.
Thanks for the tip!

@@wolfhuntersarmory Maybe they changed the manual since I got mine. My manual does not show it that way.

This is what mine says. It also says to use the magazine to hold spring in place while attaching barrel. Lol.
I just got me a new one today. And I got some cci stingers 32 grain hollow point s. 1640fps do you think it would be ok to shoot them.

Sick pistol fam🤩 , that’s my next purchase I’m into all guns but something about the pocket rockets 🚀 the original conceal carry
Good 4 me. Yeah I really " DIG " it .
Why dont you empty the chamber, slide the safety up to hold the slide, and THEN drop the mag?
It dosent work that way. The slide catch is separate from the safety. The way I did it is the way the manual tells you to do it.
I bet it ran both times after you put it back together.😁
How many times are you going to point out that the pawn shop doesn’t sponsor you?! Sheesh!

Do you edc this pistol?
No. I would not recommend any .22lr for edc.
You would need something much more reliable and accurate than this type of pistol
@Connor this is just a range toy. Not for carrying or home defence.
@@wolfhuntersarmory better than a sharp stick...mine goes bang bang bang every time i pull the trigger Im very accurate as well with it.
