Ive been saying it for a sec,a good steve-not even a great steve- will have you on your ass and questioning wtf just happened when steve is beating you down
10:30 Tier lists are actually more important in the high level. You can use anyone in the low levels. In fact, characters like Eddy, Hwoarang and the Bears are the scrub killers that you will find a lot of in the low to mid levels. It's only in the high level where you actually begin to see their flaws and they start to fall off. Anybody who says "tier lists aren't important in the high level" is just propagating the "feel good" mindset where you're made to believe that you can do well with any character in this game. Like how your parents and teacher will tell you that you can become anyone you want to be if you worked hard enough. The harsh reality says otherwise. The reason why we celebrate Ranchu's bears, Numan's Steve, and Knee's Lili pick against Qudans is because they've done something exceptional that 90 percent of the community wouldn't do or wouldn't be able to do. Don't undermine their achievements by saying "it doesn't matter".
Numan is cracked. The only silver lining that playing a character like Steve has in this meta is that people are less used to playing against Steve and you 100% know how all the top tiers work.
Watching Azucena get the floor blast even with all her other tools and steve not getting that with his throw kinda makes me hate this game even more. New T8 power creep character privileges
think about it. Arslan was carried by the character and lacked the fundamentals numan had. Thats just proves that those S tier chars are not only carry you but also make you worse of a player in generall
I don't think he's worse because of that, he's just normally a defensive player playing against a character he didn't lab against, while Numot grinded in hell with a bottom tier character and is familiar with the azu match up
Arslan did not get cooked there and saying he doesn’t have fundies is incredibly bad wording :v, he played defensively and poke heavy- Numan just out paced him in alot of the decision making and kept pressure on him in what is the most defensive characters in the roster- he played Steve like a mad man going for unsafe strings and never b1 until the very end where Arslan got desperate and stopped crouching. It was an insane match. Steve isn’t as bottom tier as we think he is, it’s legit because no one pilots him like Numan does.
@lucastonoli3256 does Steve have anything that's bs in this game? Heat smashes are cracked in general, but numot almost never used his. Meanwhile, almost every other character is greatly rewarded for doing it. Steve can't use the main mechanic of the game nearly as well as the majority of the cast. I like him, but he's not that strong. I don't even play the character, but it always feels like their wins are earned
Steve fox is not weak. Actually Pakistanis tekken players can master underrated heroes easily as well. If they like underrated characters they're gonna bring the best outcome. This is what mostly Pakistani people are 😊
I think Arslan's downfall is that he's been playing that clown of a character for so long now that he sacrifices everything else in his game just to spam the party moves. It's depressing how whenever Arslan starts getting downloaded, he just resorts to WR3,2 and mixes up with throw, df1,4 or db4. Its so brainless that its hard to respect. I understand tier whore characters always being a thing but even Kuni wasn't that bad. She had stupid poking and good movement. Azucena just plays herself.
5:40, yeah, its an option, they're not op in tekken 8, they're normal. maybe relative to tekken 7, they were useless back then, they're just a viable option now
I have NEVER fought an easy Steve. Something about him... I just can't figure out. I probably lose to him and Lee more than any other characters online at blue ranks... sometimes even purple... I think Steve is stronger in T8. I had a download on his routes in T7. Annoying but not overwhelming back then.
This is how I've always felt playing against Steve. Never having a turn and things that may be safe-ish against most of the cast are just easy interrupts for Steve, but Steve players have always acted like the character is the worst in the game. Lets get real.
Arslan will probably have to switch to a different character after the May patch. It's obvious he treats Azucena's WR3,2 the same way he treated Kunimitsu's 2,2, a safe move that you can abuse to chip and apply pressure, and that's what it was before the first nerf, but after May it's gonna be even less reliable than now. As a player who excels at defense and reflexes, he's still trying to find the best approach to Tekken 8, which rewards aggresion highly, and it's a bit of a bumpy ride. All that said, everyone here should understand that this Steve right here was the only person who beat Arslan in this tournament. The tournament that had 400 participants. Saying Arslan is weak now or ever was is absurd.
Thank you Numan for using Steve Fox. Come on Arslan Ash this is a disgrace. With your skill level why not choose another character and make him the best possible version. Raven-Eddy-Lee-Lars-Shaheen-King-Hwoarang-Yoshimitsu and even Steve are all characters who could use your skill and talent.
Arslan seems to having a hard time grasping the Tekken 8. Can't blame him, Tekken 8 style doesn't suit his style and skills. And i think they, Arslan, knee alike, will become same as Daigo after SF4. Like he never won any big major tournament like in SFV and same is happening in SF6 as capcom nerfed him with SFV. Namco did the same in T8 with players like Knee and Arslan. I will still be relevant like up to top 8 or Top 4 in tournaments like EVO, TWT, Combo breaker but their chances of winning EVOS and TWTs are very low with the condition of the game. But if Namco buffs the defense mechanic of the game as it seems they are doing in May update, then they will have a chance. Right now the game is too brain dead for the defense play style in the favor of aggressive and 50/50 play.
Never use the performance of a top 3 competitor as evidence. The 40th best player is closer to the benchmark when deciding character difficulty vs similar skilled player. Numan outright outplayed Arslan many more times to win rounds.
@@TK-ev When did I use anyone's performance as evidence? I've been playing Tekken for more than half my life, and Tekken 8 for a couple of months now.
9:40 yes I thought after panda this was established
Numan is cracked.
The only silver lining that playing a character like Steve has in this meta is that people are less used to playing against Steve and you 100% know how all the top tiers work.
Steve isn't weak. He's just not a broken or braindead character to play in TK8.
the most tilted guy whith his chat i ever seen on twitch
Watching Azucena get the floor blast even with all her other tools and steve not getting that with his throw kinda makes me hate this game even more. New T8 power creep character privileges
Her floor blast literally only 42 out of lib stance during juggle lol
Lili is a great counter pick for steve. I just love blocking Steve's punches and midstring you do her parry so satisfying 😂
Yeah, using Steve against Lili makes you feel like you have to play defensive the whole game
Numan No 1 Steve Fox in the World right now Amazing Performance
wow, steve is amazing when you can't hear his voice lines screaming at you.
He is legit, watched his channel a few times.
Numan Counterhit😂😂😂😂
Its choudhary
Main man is always funny😂
think about it. Arslan was carried by the character and lacked the fundamentals numan had. Thats just proves that those S tier chars are not only carry you but also make you worse of a player in generall
I don't think he's worse because of that, he's just normally a defensive player playing against a character he didn't lab against, while Numot grinded in hell with a bottom tier character and is familiar with the azu match up
@@BlackJustice2637 In no universse or existance Steve is bottom tier in Tekken 8. Mid-range character, that's it. Words have meaning.
Saying arslan “lacked the fundamentals” is hilarious, he just got beat by a good player
Main Mensch! Do a Steve break down, he is still nice but the other cast is busted after the nerfs I would See Stevens pretty lulz
No character is week it's depend on how you use ❤
Steve fox is not weak. Actually Pakistanis tekken players can master underrated heroes easily as well. If they like underrated characters they're gonna bring the best outcome. This is what mostly Pakistani people are 😊
❤
When you mention "Best Steve in the world" and you are not talking about Nin... I feel old.
Mainman... I know you're a coom fanatic. You absolutely love it... But big VEINY combo? Cmon man. 😂😂😂😂
Damn. Arslan does wr2 faster than I just press one button
i always feel like we need more steve on tourna events
I believe in steve. I started learning him a few mknths ago and hea a lot if fun. I would bet in duture uodates steve will get some good buffs.
Akuma was written as well don’t judge too soon
The cheese spam lord gets bodied by a Steve player. You love to see it
I think Arslan's downfall is that he's been playing that clown of a character for so long now that he sacrifices everything else in his game just to spam the party moves.
5:40, yeah, its an option, they're not op in tekken 8, they're normal. maybe relative to tekken 7, they were useless back then, they're just a viable option now
That running shit from Azu should be punishable. Too OP
Finally more Steve representation
I have NEVER fought an easy Steve. Something about him... I just can't figure out. I probably lose to him and Lee more than any other characters online at blue ranks... sometimes even purple...
I think Steve is stronger in T8. I had a download on his routes in T7. Annoying but not overwhelming back then.
Def gonna be using throws more
now that steve got buff dang
better than evo Japan
Its not counter hit its chaudry its his cast
What happened to Heera? Why is he not competing? Is there a story behind it?
I thought Shinblade and Buppamen were the best Steves in the world
Numan makes me want to pick up Steve again 🙏
Thank you Numan for using Steve Fox.
Come on Arslan Ash this is a disgrace. With your skill level why not choose another character and make him the best possible version.
Raven-Eddy-Lee-Lars-Shaheen-King-Hwoarang-Yoshimitsu and even Steve are all characters who could use your skill and talent.
actually i think that azucena is the only one female character that steve can get wildman after parry becouse her legs are so long....
2:56. Dead man alive
Atleast broken throws is across the board.
So no ones broken.
TMM is underestimating Steve a little
'a little'
Never use the performance of a top 3 competitor as evidence. The 40th best player is closer to the benchmark when deciding character difficulty vs similar skilled player. Numan outright outplayed Arslan many more times to win rounds.
@@TK-ev 3:42
@@TK-ev When did I use anyone's performance as evidence? I've been playing Tekken for more than half my life, and Tekken 8 for a couple of months now. Through playing (against) Steve, I've come to the conclusion that he isn't as weak as TMM likes to make him sound. Same goes for Bryan. Not saying they are good either. Just nowhere near as terrible, honest and handicapped as TMM wants you to believe 😂
@@Beforezzz the same guaranteed wall bs that Bryan also has. Funny coincidence that Steve and Bryan are the two characters TMM dickrides the most 😂
Solely based on Arslans smugness I enjoy watching him lose.
I wonder if the matches are going to be boring once they nerf the throws etc. The T8 matches are so much more fun than the T7 matches.
I don't get this whole character loyalty thing. Why is it a positive to play something that's suboptimal? Coming from other genre's, it just seems dumb in a tournament setting. Genuine question
I am gonna fight tomorrow evening The Best Steve Player In The World#NumanCh
It is scary for me now after tmmswe's title😂
Even after all the nerfs I still shit on people with Azucena and will never drop her (unless Lei comes back)
Let's just pretend Steve wasnt good before that :)
I do play him myself, the downplay on that char is massive, but I love it we're getting buffs :)
Tier List don’t mean that much. Again. Panda won TWT. Should’ve put all the tier list talk down forever
Love to see Ash losing. L Ash, W Steve.
Me too, when he looses using azu and jun makes me smile
the best STEVE in the world is the best TEKKEN 8 player in the world.
I also qualified for road to Evo, glhf everyone!❤
Knee must be taking notes
"Arse sir Luhn"
No way he said *COUNTER HIT* for Numan ch😭
Steve isn't hard you just actually have to play the game instead of gettin auto armor/counters
