The Story of Arslan Ash
Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 вер 2019
- Arslan "Arslan Ash" Siddique came out of nowhere. The world didn't know who he was, or what he was capable of when he showed up for Evo Japan. But his win kicked off one of the greatest stories in all of esports. A secret scene, incredible competitors, and the birth of a rivalry that defined the careers of the two best Tekken players in the world. Pakistan gave the world Arslan Ash, and Arslan Ash gave the world good-ass Tekken.
This is his story.

When a player from an unknown region comes in and just dominates then says "I'm not even the best where I'm from" is like an anime villain crushing the main character and then finding out the dude has a boss

BEAUTIFUL
It means a lot for Knee I suppose, he did seem a little reserved in the hug, because if I am not mistaken hugging in Korean is mainly a couples/family thing only and a bit out of norm for them to hug anyone else.

This will remain as one of the most beautiful moments of our gaming culture 😌.
4 times in a row
*I'm half Spanish and half Pakistani and I've been once (4 months) to Pakistan when I was 9 years old.*
*And man the kids there play Tekken and many other arcade games until death!!!*
There are arcade centers everywhere and Tekken is always a must. Those centers work with tokens (which aren't expensive) per game or two games.
I remember going to the arcade centers every day with my cousins and don't leaving them until late afternoon. That's how it used to be when I was 9, now that I'm 25 I can't imagine how it would be (although judging from this video it hasn't changed at all, which is great!!!).
Pakistan has a lot of talent let no one doubt about it, but sadly it goes unnoticed due to the international media, that has no damn interest at all in promoting or showing anything from Pakistan....... Ohhh I meant anything good from Pakistan, they will surely highlight anything bad that happens there, that's for sure!!! (as if the other countries had no problems).
That leads to people from the western countries as my self to firstly don't even knowing where Pakistan is, and if they know where it is, that leaves them believing that Pakistan is a trash whole where no one can go or they will get killed.
WHICH IS NOTHING MORE THAN STRAIGHT BULLSH1T.
Pakistan is a beautiful country with people full of generosity and humbleness.
I will really recommend anyone that might read this comment to go there and have a look for themselves, or at least watch videos and get informed about it and to do not get tricked in believing straight away what the media says.

I've noticed fighting games are a lot about self discipline and about bettering yourself since there is no team to rely on
@@Vorusen well, self discipline isn't the only way to improve in fighting games, you can also be the opposite, as recklessness may also be used to catch your opponents off guard. It just mostly ends up on your own mindset, but always keep in mind the basics of the fighting game you play. Fighting games are not like hack and slash games, they are like boss fights. Every opponent is a boss but both of you have the same advantage (except those times that you and your opponent end up in a very unbalanced game and he picks an overpowered character).
@@ignaciojohnjoy that "recklessness" is more like "method in the madness" I feel like. Simply being reckless with no foundation or fundamentals won't get you far (which goes back to self discipline eventually), and I believe at least in Tekken scene many would think the same.
@@seija8588 but like I said, keeping in mind the fundamentals is key. If you just play with pure recklessness, thats equivalent to pressing all the buttons and rolling the controller clockwise or counterclock wise
@@ignaciojohnjoy rather than "recklessness", i think "creativity" is better suited for it. Tekken, no matter what character, is very technique oriented. That's why mishimas is considered as fundamental to Tekken because their technique, and you will lose if your opponent could read your playstyle or movement. That's the part creativity comes up to be able mixup things and mixing up moves to catch the opponent off guard.

Plus I absolutely his and Knee's relation they are rivals but both of them have mutual respect for each other and both of they just want to learn from each other to get better as a player. I especially salute to Knee for being humble enough to say that he would love to learn from Pakistani Player. Bcoz it's easy to be arrogant when you are such a prolific figure in the market. But he isn't like other people and Similarly for my man Arslan too, he doesn't have any ego or anything like that he doesn't want to beat anyone just for the sake of it. I wish to help them inspire the world. We need it now.
I'm a fg vet and i dont think this video, as well-made as it was, comes close to explaining the significance of Arslan's and Pakistan's accomplishment.
His skill and performance this year proves to EVERYONE, that no matter how isolated or disconnected your offline scene is from the rest of the world, if your scene has the dedication, drive, and hunger, you can sharpen each other to the point that you surpass even the fuckin Koreans, who has the most fleshed out, competitive Tekken arcade scenes ALL OVER the country.
There has never been a story like this in the history of all esports. Imagine if some random poor country that barely has a pro basketball league, came out and destroyed the American NBA circuit. That's basically what Arslan and Pakistan did.
Everyone knows Korea to be the powerhouse of eSports, one whose dominance in Tekken is known world-wide, acknowledged, and documented. Story of Arslan just *shouldn't* happen, but it did. makes me tear up just seeing Arslan tearing up. he is so humble. good for him
I'm quoting Arslan from his different interviews esp. the podcost with Junaid Akram bhai where Ash said that his reflexes were very fast when he was a teen esp. when he was 12 yrs old boy. He was always a topper of his class but he never got an opportunity to play outside country at that time due to shortage of money, sponsors and Visa issues. Later on, his father passed away that was quite hard time for his family. He continued his studies along with his gaming passion. At the time when he was a CA student, he got an opportunity so he left CA & went after his passion that was takken amidst all kinds of tough challenges. Credit goes to the friends who supported him & the ppl and the group of UAE who sponsored him early in his career when he had no money to travel abroad n play in foreign tournaments.
Unfortunately, there was no opportunity for him to go abroad for foreign tournaments when he was so young n talented. He further said that in his early teens, he won in a tournament in Karachi against the best takken players of Pakistan. Prior to that competition, the organizers said that the Winner of the tournament will get money, opportunity and sponsership to travel abroad and play tournament in Japan that time. But they decieved him and didn't gave him those opportunities as they claimed. They just gave him little amount. Ash said that he always wanted to compete abroad but couldn't go for it b'coz there were no sponsors and govt. usually don't invest much apart from Cricket or few other outdoor games. So, all this talent got wasted. I believe, if Arslan got opportunities like the Koreans, Japanese, Americans and the Europeans, at that time when he was young, story would have been completely different from today. However, he already did so much in his 20's, Ma Sha'ALLAH, that ppl across the gaming world n Takken community started to know him. Arslan ! You are a huge inspiration for a lot of young talented ppl across the region. I really wish good for all other talented players so they don't get waste in any field due to lack of opportunities whether they belong to any country or religion. Always support talented ppl around you. At Least, we can encourage n motivate them.
Best of Luck ahead, Arslan Bro. Lots of Prayers n Blessings for Everyone in the world. Huge Love n Respect from Pakistan. ❤🎉😊

Zayed Haroon Respect! It’s crazy to think that Arslan isn’t even the best.... Imagine the entirety of the potential locked within Pakistan.
The grand finals between knee and arslan at evo this year was unavoidable.
It was their destiny to meet in EVO Grand Finals.
@Umar Farooq Isn't there this Steve player called Heera Malik? What about him?
Just like jdcr vs majin. Underdog vs tekken god.
That moment when the shonen protagonist(Knee) sees that his most dangerous rival (Arslan) gets beaten by someone else of the country as his rival.
This was beautiful, I feel like I just watched a beautiful movie on the theater and it was totally worth it.
18:55 the fact that everyone in the crowd yelled "Tiger" is simply amazing.
Much love from the Philippines, Arslan! Power to the Pakistan Tekken community! I hope more of you guys get the exposure you deserve. 👍😁
Edit: Lol, thanks to that one guy who liked.
Thanks man.
AK played really good as well. I wished to see him in the EVO Los Angeles.
Also i think Philippine people are really friendly. I have some online Philippine friends. 😊☺️
@@madil2259 You're welcome! Thanks as well! 👍😁
@@madil2259 I think he was in Evo 2019 in US. Look up smash.gg of Evo 2019 and he was Top 1000+. His spirit was maybe deflated by that Evo Japan 2019 as he was I think seeded but lost to two players immediately. I also found out that his teammate Doujin was there as well but placed 33rd.
@@kriscubero6778 Oh, cool! I just hope he keeps improving.
Also, thanks for the 30+ likes! I think this is the most likes I've ever gotten from a "non-informative" comment. 👍😊
@Zayed Haroon Aw, thanks! I appreciate that a lot. 👍😁
All those goosebumps and tears while watching the story!
Love and respect from India to Arslan
This story can be made into a Bollywood movie. The title can be Fight! Haha! Really inspiring. Congrats Arslan!
Plse no Bollywood will destroy this beautiful story.
He had the power of Allah and anime on his side
Perfectly balanced as it should be.
Pakistan Isekai
Well i should tell my local cleric about this....
LOL anime and Manga
Inshallah
I think japnese should make anime on this story :)
IKR
So true
What type of anime u seen yet ?
😂 😂 😂 😂
its my favorite esports story. Go arslan
I have been playing tekken for the past 11 years and i thought international players are batter than us because they have a strong defense but after seeing our player compete like this. Now I know its not about defense its about attack. Thank you Arslan. He is really our legend.
I legit got goosebumps. what a phenomenal story and a true reminder of how much is possible with hard work and patience. As someone living in a developing country, it inspires me so much.
Tekken has the best esports scene hands down. Nothing will ever be more hype than knee vs arslan
I'm from Pakistan and I m proud of you Arslan
You have very good reason to be, the man has done your people proud and honestly, it's been an exciting rise to watch. The thing that gets me the most, and the thing that keeps coming up is this. Arslan is a product of your FGC in the region, in your region there are players as good as Arslan whom just climbed a near-2000 man bracket to beat Knee, best in the world prior to his rise, not once... but twice.
Welcome to the FGC, Pakistan... Honestly, I want to know of these 'killers'. I want to see more of these 'killers', and you know what. I doubt I am the only one.
For Arslan alone, you have my respect.
@Zayed Haroon Keep in mind that I only speak in the context of the global FGC, which isn't use to this kind of thing happening. In the context of Tekken, it VERY unique... because prior to the start of this year, it was just assumed that we knew all the hot spot regions for the game. BOI, we were wrong on that one.
As far as general esports, we'll have to see... I am not so sure that you will have many player come up on say, Rainbow 6, Overwatch, League of Legends, DOTA2 and the like. If only because PC's a still rather high on the pricing end. And for context, I speak of Canadian pricing of PC' components as a Canadian.... Rupee conversion must be murder.
That said, would I be against seeing more players from the region in those games? No, I would not. Infact if said players come in and mop the floor @ say, The International? That would be hype as hell.
He is soo humble.. True talent
When you live in a country where playing games is already a privilege, you're damn right their top players are best of the best. Respect from Indonesia.
Huh?
tekken is available everywhere in Pakistan even in the smallest gaming rooms. It’s not really a privilege.
Title: The Story of Arslan Ash
Content: Top 10 Anime Rivalries
So true lmao
Full on anime content
I already have a name
New Pakistan vs Japan ( The destined rivals )
I think Pakistan should be given easy chances to enter other nations.
How will they prove their worth without competing

Looking forward to what lies in store for Tekken, and kudos to all players that makes us love the game more and more
massive respect to my brother Ash , love from India . I hope you continue to beat these Korean gods for decades .
This is the best story outta every single one in my opinion,
This guy comes outta nowhere and dominates the Tekken 7 scene and basically give Pakistan a revolution of new Pakistan players
I'm a Pakistani, and I wanna tell that the world right now doesn't even know how many competitive pro gamers we have. There are gaming zones in every area and everyone is craving to play games like PUBG, CSGO, Dota 2, Fortnite, Tekken and many others. Just wait and watch the future of Pakistani gaming community.
Peace.
Heroic legend of Arslan: A true story.

YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I love reading the comment sections almost as much as watching theScore uploads. The respect and love shown here is what this world should be about!
I was never really a fan of Tekken until I saw the videos of this channel and I learned just how big the scene is and how welcoming and inclusive it is. It’s awesome to see competitors from all over, NA, Korea, Japan, and even Pakistan, compete together and grow together.
