I'm with you. I wasn't expecting Smash Bros or anything like that because it would be extremely illogical with E3 right around the corner in my opinion. To be honest I was more exited for new characters in Arms and any new smaller games they might announce.

MortalMth Good job forgetting Sega. Dont act as if Nintendo helped gaming single-handedly. If they didnt have competition, they wouldve slipped up. Also, that Crash only afftected the U.S. Gaming was fine everywhere else. Also, games like Mario, wouldnt exist if it wasnt for Pac-Man(specifically, Pac-Land, the very first 2D platformer). That was what inspired Miyamoto to make Mario to begin with.

I really like the fact that Nintendo is keeping the 3DS alive with games that are more suited for a smaller, portable console! Reggie did say that the Switch is meant to be a home console...
What do you mean? It was normal for Nintendo to work on two consoles because one is pure console and the other is pure portable, also, both were relatively new...

As someone who owns both the 3ds and switch, and had a wiiu. I like the switch as a console a lot more, I like being able to choose tv or portable mode. Plus bigger screen and better graphics are nicw. Also the 3ds is old at this point, the only reason I still have it is for pokemon.

Last night's Nintendo Direct presentation was *EXCELLENT!* Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, ARMS, Sine Mora EX, Splatoon 2, and Namco Museum Nintendo Switch Edition are my must haves for this year. And the biggest shock of them all is coming to the Switch-- PAYDAY 2!!!!! This came out of nowhere like an RKO! 9.5 out of 10 overall for this presentation!!!! Love the new Nintendo Direct logo!
I find it hard to get excited over PD2 like 3 years after its release on basically any other platform.
Though, I very much agree on the rest, super nice lineup and I hope more mainstream games follow to make Switch an even stronger contender. It's a truly amazing console.
TonyKanameKuran Agreed. ARMS looks really good! People were too quick to dismiss it as a Wii game with upgraded graphics. Nintendo does not release sub-par games especially when it comes to new IPs. ARMS is going to awesome. Also, Splatoon 2 is looking good. I wish there was a Nintendo single player games though. I am not a huge fan of multiplayer games. Only reason I like ARMS is because I can play locally with my friends :)

I think this was a solid Direct. They'll obviously reveal major titles at E3, which is in 2 months, like Super Smash Bros., Pokemon, maybe F-Zero, and hopefully Metroid. All of these aren't guarantee, but they should have something big up their sleeve this year.
Nintendo, please get all the Nintendo Switch consoles back in stock at all major retail stores and online. Release a massive supply of Switch consoles, NOT a short supply. You have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Ultra Street Fighter 2, ARMS, and NBA Playgrounds releasing very soon, and stores need to have Switch systems back in stock and fast. No more shortages, please. Think about how fast Switch will sell worldwide and in Japan once MK8D and Puyo Puyo Tetris releases.
Also, these are the games/franchises that you and other well-trusted developers should develop for the Switch. Some that we want to see make a comeback somehow and be very high in quality just like Breath of the Wild. Hopefully we hear more about anything upcoming in future Nintendo Directs and/or at your big E3 event in June.

As for getting full 3rd party support and see 3rd party games for the Switch, please make sure that the games are NOT cheap downgraded shovelware Crap. Honestly, you know that developers like BioWare and Electronic Arts, maybe even Ubisoft are planning on doing that. You don't need them. Nintendo is too smart to fall for the same crap every-time. Gamers like us want the actual full game, not shovelware from 3rd parties. Gamers/fans want to see a wide variety of high quality 1st party and proper high quality 3rd party games (NOT cheap downgraded shovelware crap, heck no) coming to a Nintendo home system again that could buy and play on the TV and anywhere on-the-go. Sorta like back in the Super Nintendo era when Nintendo and other developers were just pumping out hit games one after another.

I remember seeing miitopia here and saying “looks pretty cool, might get it” and it ended up becoming my 2nd favorite game to ever exist, I love miitopia so much, and if you haven’t played it, get it on switch, it’s so worth it, it’s 50 dollars but it’s a long, there’s so much content, and there’s even post game (post game is extra content after a Main game if you don’t know) and it’s just so perfect, I love it so much, I already beat it on switch lol, I’m just doing post game.
That's Nintendo for you. There's bound to be a game that would grab anyone's heart and passion. 😊

I think it's just a "Monopoly Plus" port unless later footage shows what's different.
Also I prefer the look and feel of "Monopoly Streets" even though it's limited to local multiplayer and considered dated.

Most likely in November; all of Nintendo's "holiday titles and consoles" have been released in November. It also gives Christmas victims time to decide what they're doing and for Nintendo to basically fix any last minute problems before the real holiday.

You guys need to make more twilight princess link amiibos available for pre-order at gamestop. They were gone in an instant. And now people are selling them for 10 to 15 times the price. Every time the collectors get interested, the resellers take them away in huge quantities and charge ridiculous amounts.

For ARMS, I already have my stuff figured out. Main: Ribbon Girl. This isn't even a contest because not only for one does she have a broken arsenal, but also the most broken set of unique traits. She has the fastest movement in the entire game in the air and 2nd fastest on the ground, and her Quick Drop is the equivalent of Fox's Shine from Melee.
EDIT: Min Min is even more broken. You lose the Quick Drop and triple jump in exchange for being invincible every time you dash.

Overall Animal Crossing: City Folk is a great game but I like the tool mechanics from the Game Cube version since it assigned it to a button making performed actions quicker which is especially handy in bee catching(Intended or not).
I know. That's all I want. If they don't show anything about Animal Crossing. Then alot including me will be disappointed and walk away from Nintendo.
