I think you need the 2.0 TFSi to get through that tall wet grass.. I had that that exact Lȧwn boy 2stoke.. had it for 35 yrs until someone decided to run it on straight gas and seized it..sounded like a YZ80 dirt bike lol
@@ImSrry4BeingWhite gave the kid a good talking too.. haha I mean he was a 13 yr old kid that was mowing my grandma yard, but I was able to un seize it but too much damage it didn’t have a compression.. but those lawn boys 50:1 are bulletproof if maintained
Amazing mod, that thing is sick. Only downside is that “Personal Pace” shit. Fuckin hate that crap just give me a lever. But thanks for the vid I enjoyed that
It needs a much, much longer header pipe to jump on the pipe. Right now thst exhaust is making no power. That exhaust wants to see 8000rpm before it makes power and I can tell you know that engine ain’t anywhere near 8000 maybe 5000 at the most. Find out what rpm the stock engine makes max power and then calculate the header length to come on pipe slightly before it.
Any idea on what cc displacement is on the later models??? I saved the engine off my last one that didn't have many hrs on it. It was ran iver , but still ran great. Im thinking about making a river mud motor out of it.
Lawnboys are good mower's if they have any flaws? All lawnboy lover's know? it's the electronic coils going. You'll be going along mowing fine and then you hear a "tick" then she dies no spark
i did the same thing to my toro gts 120cc two stroke mower but sadly my air filter was letting dirt into it and it needs rings now but it had just as much power as yours.
I found a gold edition at a goodwill in Lexington ky.....electric start, mulcher, charger included. like new. $35.00. Someone apparently couldn't deal with the mixing. Only needed a drive cable and battery. Bought it in the middle of winter.
That’s a score worth at least $350, in my opinion more. A lot of people have 2 stroke string trimmers, only hassle is buying extra oil but then again no oil changes or maintenance and lighter weight engine with more snappy power to enjoy.
@@NaptownTuner I walked past it at first and had to do a double take. I recognized the color and could not believe the condition or price. My wife thought I was nuts buying a mower with it snowing out.
@@NaptownTuner Problem is finding someone that will actually pay $350 for it but who knows maybe they will start selling vintage mower's at barrett jackson lol
You shouldn't cut that tall grass with a mower, you will overheat the engine and destroy the piston rings 😅 i did that to the 1970s lawn mower my family got, i will rebuild the engine and put the new piston and rings in it 😄
If a mowe can´t handle that, it has a problem and needs to be fixed. If everything is ok, a lawn mower doesn't overheat, no matter how tall the grass is.
Nonsense, I've used the same mowers for many years, & basically used them like brush hogs , my lawn boy is 35 yrs old and my brothers is 50 you must be doing something wrong
Used my LB today. Gotta be 23 years old. Beast and fires up on one pull every time (bone dry, prime and pull) for the last 23 years.
I have 3 silver series Lawnboys and never knew about grease fittings on back wheels, thank you !
Man, I wouldn’t wish that torture on a lawnmower I hated. Show that poor girl some love.
I had no idea about the grease z. Thanks man!!
Nice video, I too love The Lawn boys. They are some of the most awesome mowers ever made.

What kinda dingdong puts straight gas in a 2 cycle? Did you kill them or kick their ass?

Fucking Sick bro!! I love the tune pipe.
You have a lot of brain and talents. Any outfit that pays well would find you valuable Nap.
What talent? Running a mower?

nice .. two thumbs up

What hole size did you drill each jet out to?
the one lawnmower that sounds like a four stroke because of the sound of the blade but is powered by a two stroke
@naptowntuner what size bits did you drill the jets out with?
MY MAN !
Full send!!!

I think the one with the orange wheels is a 4.5 horse, it's from before toro I believe.
Its still lawn boy i think
Can you base gasket delete them?
You’re I see some steak take out the stick out
You need more header on the pipe mate
Cool video. Strap a 2.0 on there. Ha!

Stick with the Audis. In NZ we have Victor 2 stroke mowers. They are grunty as too. But annoying to fix.
I love the old victa 160. Cheers from Down under
Victa 2 strokes are not annoying to fix, most repairs are simple.
A victa 2 stroke would smash this mower any day!
Just replaced my 21 year old SilverPro Lawnboy with an EGO 2135SP. The EGO outperforms it. 👍🏻✌🏻
