- Perhaps I should not have pursued this...
Joe-405 says "If that's a old lawn boy engine it won't run that way ever".
Wanna bet?
A true gokart by definition.
Only one in existence that uses Lawn-Boy 2 cycle engines.
A one off, one of a kind project.
Originally built in 2007 and is the very first of its kind.
Nothing Chinese (sans tires) about this gokart.
Powered by twin model E LAWN-BOY engines.
It has been suggested that these are really Tecumseh engines. Be assured...they are not.
Engines breathe through Tillotson HL239b carbs and are ungoverned.
Only real modifications to engines is compression ratio has been bumped up slightly and steel reeds have been replaced with carbon fiber.
Power is transmitted to wheels via Noram 17 tooth centrifugal clutches. Driven sprockets are 70 teeth aluminum split.
Limited space in parking lot does not allow me to go over 51 mph, but is certainly capable of more than that.
A CLONE KILLER!!!
Incidentally, factory set rpm limit for the L-B mower is 2900 (± 300) rpm. These engines (now) consistently run ~ 6700 rpm and DO NOT REQUIRE BILLET CONNECTING RODS AND/OR FLYWHEELS.
Oil mix has been retained at 32:1 using TC-W3 outboard motor oil as recommended by Lawn-Boy engineers.
Frame is a lightly modified AZUSA Road Rocket.
Several years later, I think a triple lawn boy kart is in order...
He's going so fast u hear his jet engine noise

Nice... Saw link on forum.
I found a new summer project for me!
Paint motors green .Call it "cart-boy".
Hi, I'm interested to know a few things about the performance of this engine.
If you don't mind me asking what size Tillotson carburetor did you use? I'm thinking about putting one of those engines on a mini bike
cool
Do u still have this beast?
