You should have seen Magdeburg a few decades ago, when the area in front of the Hauptbahnhof was so much more open space with trees and gras and benches and not everything was plastered with generic buildings. it was lovely and peaceful especially in summer just so fresh and open ...

This is a very beauteful city, most places in Germany are like this. I have been in Munic, Stuttgart, Heidelburg, Ulm, Oberaumergau, Gunzburg, Lipehiem, and many other small towns. It has been 54 years ago, so I may not have the correct spelling of the names. The people were very nice, they were friendly and helpful. I felt respect from most all of them, and I in return respected them. It was a great experience and I would love to visit their again. I have very fond memories of that country, and the people. I pray for those people and that Nation daily. MAY GOD BLESS THEM, AND KEEP THEM.

Wie bitte? In der Stadt gibt es nicht mal eine Altstadt und die Innenstadt sieht aus wie ein Nachbau von Berlin Marzahn oder Wolgograd.

@@m.atze686 Naja Schönheit liegt im Auge des Betrachters. Ich habe 13 Jahre an angeblich schönen Orten gelebt (Oberammergau sowie Wiesbaden und Umgebung). Gerade Wiesbaden hat fast nur alte gebäude und ich sehe Magdeburg als die wesentlich schönere Stadt. Viele Parks sehr Grün und ein gut ausgebautes Nahverkehrsnetz. Die Schönheit Magdeburgs habe ich erst sehen können nachdem ich in anderen Städten gelebt habe.

@@stefanwagner6236 Natürlich ist die Geburtsstadt von allen Städten die schönste. Da kommt keine andere Stadt auch nur ansatzweise ran.
@@tyberzan80 auch objektiv betrachtet, ist MD keine schöne Stadt. Lässt sich ja ganz einfach an der Zahl der Touristen ablesen
Kaum alte schöne Bausubstanz, meist „moderne“ Bauten wie überall, meine Urgroßeltern kamen aus Magdeburg. Ich war niemals dort.
Naja schau dir die Bilder von Magdeburg am Kriegsende an dann Weißt du was von der "alten" Bausupstanz übrig ist.
Das ist dem Krieg und im Nachgang der DDR geschuldet 😅 wir hätten ein zweites Minsk werden können die ersten Bauten wurden gemacht und prägen heute die Innenstadt wurde dann aber über den Haufen geworfen und man plante die Plattenbauten.

Thge city itself looks clean, but a lot of those buildings are really ugly. I find old architecture to be much more attractive.
Ich bin in dieser Stadt geboren und habe 44 Jahre hier gelebt. Sie war mal eine der grünsten Städte Deutschlands. Inzwischen wurde aber alles ohne Sinn und Verstand zubetoniert, auch ohne Rücksicht auf historische Bauten. Diese Stadt ist einfach nur noch zum Kotzen. Deshalb bin ich vor 4 Jahren von dort abgehauen.
Die Stadt ist warum jetzt zum kotzen ? Weil Bauland erschlossen wurde ? 😅
Sie ist heutzutage immer noch einer der grünsten Städte Deutschlands .

The newer part of the city is downright ugly; glass and concrete canyons not fit for human beings. At 23:14 is the ugliest building I have ever seen.
