I arrived in Leipzig 1995 living in a Vauxhall Maestro Van with 500dm to my name (10 x 50dm Thomas Cook Cheques) I managed to get a job helping to rebuild the Furstenhof Hotel which had been repossessed from the Peanut Man(Hans Jurgen Schneider) and the work was then bank rolled by the Bank. In less than a year I had my own Hotel/Pension beside the Zoo/Rosenthal Park at Leibniz Strasse 22 04105 I used to read the paper on Sunday mornings in the park beside the Zoo with Lamas leaning over the fence talking to me. I was in Paradise but unfortunately I lacked the awareness to realise it at there time. Block by Block each building was renovated and taken back by the rich until the gates of the School yard beside me which was used by the local children as a social hub were chained up shut,

quick question, are there any snack places to get a bite or water. I have a stop over at Hanover Central station from Berlin en route to Amsterdam on Flixbus. It's at 1 am. So are there any places to buy food /drink at that time?

Thge city itself looks clean, but a lot of those buildings are really ugly. I find old architecture to be much more attractive.

Kaum alte schöne Bausubstanz, meist „moderne“ Bauten wie überall, meine Urgroßeltern kamen aus Magdeburg. Ich war niemals dort.

Ich bin Msgdeburgerin Unsere Stadt ist nur ansehbar im Stadtzentrum .Heute sieht sie verdreckt und verkommen und runtergewirtschaftet aus .Es fehlen hier die Horden von gut gekleideten verschleierten mit 5. Kinder bewaffneten Fachfrauen. und auch die abgehoten Schwarzarbeiter die unser Stabtbild verschönern .mit Drogen Messer und anderen schönen Dingen. Zeigt mal unser schön verdreckten Stadtpark ,Mit Hammelgrillen und und Gruppentreffen.😅😅😅😅😅

Halle ist einer der dreckigsten und kriminellsten Städte der Welt selbst in der Drogenhoch Burg Kolumbien ist es friedlicher !!! Der Stadtrat tut alles Menschen mögliche um den Einzelhandel zu vertreiben und das leider mit Erfolg. Es sollte über das Auswärtige Amt eine Reisewarnung für Halle geben. Das schöne ist aber Halle Innenstadt wird bald Autofrei da ja die Stadtverwaltung alles dafür tut Tempo 30 / Parkplatz mangel usw. ALSO LIEBE TOURISTEN/ BESUCHER HALLE IST EIN BESUCH NICHT WERT ES SEI DENN MAN LEIDET AN SUIZID GEDANKEN ..LEIPZIG IST SCHÖNER, SAUBER UND SICHERER !!!!

ich wohne seit etwas über 3 1/2 jahren in magdeburg und bereue es jemals in diese stadt gezogen zu sein. hier wird nur die innenstadt optisch instand gehalten, weil dort sich die touristen aufhalten. der rest ist dreckig, ungepflegt, verottet. magdeburg ist noch nach über 30 jahren mauerfall nicht in der lage, viele straßenbahnhaltestellen so zu legen - barrierefrei - daß behinderte mit rollstuhl oder rollator oder sonstigen gebrechen in die bahnen einsteigen können. desweiteren sind die meisten magdeburger unfreundlich und hinterwäldlerisch! ich kenne sowas als rheinländerin absolut nicht. kommt doch mal nach fermersleben, nach salbke, nach westerhüsen ... da seht ihr noch gegenden wie zu ddr-zeiten! keine geschäfte, keine lebensqualität ... nur tote hose! diese stadt macht einen krank!👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿

Anstatt derart planlos herumzutaumeln und sich ständig um die eigene Achse zu drehen, wäre es sinnvoller gewesen, sich vorher eine Laufroute zu überlegen. Da gibt es deutlich bessere Videos.

Согласен со всеми комментариями про незабываемый и перестроенный, прекрасный Магдебург! Сам я впервые попал туда в мае 1976 года из классного города Новосибирска! Служил срочную службу в Кракау до апреля 1978гг Был в разных районах города тогда. Заметно как похорошел и перестроился чудесный Магдебург, как и наши города. Делал покупки в Центруме, теперь Карштадт. Прибавились много новых магазинов и ресторанов, торговых центров типа Сибирского Молла и Ауры в Новосибирске. Больше людей стало на улицах и трамваев больших, велостоянок, скульптур. Пусть и дальше процветают наши города! Пусть всегда будет мир и дружба между Россией и Германией! Пусть греют воспоминания душу обо всех городах где я бывал! Старею теперь в небольшом городе Воронежской области. И часто вспоминаю прекрасный и уютный Магдебург!

I was walking those streets in november 2022. I wanted to see the tower upclose because I could see it from my hotel window but it was far away. I was a little too confident about where to go so I walked away from my hotel and eventually, yes, I got to see the tower.👍 But then I realized that I was lost and I couldn't remember direction I should go to get back to my hotel....and also, my phone died because it was cold. Luckily I had a powerbank with me, but it took some time for it to charge my phone. I was slightly panicking and after wandering around the streets for almost two hours and thank's to Google maps, I found my hotel again.😂😂 My goodness, being lost in a city and a country where you don't live is a scary experience. And you don't even know if people understand english. Even though, I enjoyed my time in Berlin and would love to come back in the future! I need to be more careful to not just wander off like that again. It's easy to get lost in big cities.
