I’ve always wanted to try screen printing. I don’t know why I haven’t just bought the supplies since you really don’t need that much. Time to bite the bullet and give it a try. Thanks for the inspiration!
This might be a more involved question, but assuming you’re only printing a handful of shirts and can do it in one session, is there a difference in print quality between using the vinyl method vs “burn”ing the screen? I haven’t tried screen printing yet, but I’ve been researching, and now my interest is PIQUED!!!
I've attempted this a few times. Had weeding issues and gave up. I'm sure I'll give it a whirl again in the next few days. Wish me luck and patience. 🤪
You will do great! Remember to be kind to yourself and that’s ok to make mistakes! Want a secret? I actually had to cut this twice because I started weeding it backwards first!
You likely did not press the ink hard enough through the screen or your screen is clogged if it’s not new. But new screen it’s probably just not enough pressure
Screen printing takes practice. No one is perfect on their first second or even fifth try of something new. You have to remember I have been screen printing off and on for many years with lots of messed up projects in between. The internet is a curated place where we only show our best work.
Great video! Thank you so much for the tutorial!
@@leslietovar9627 thank you!
Very smart really!.
This definitely simplifies the process while giving more ideas. Thanks for this.
Thanks so much for this video. I've been wanting to try this.
Thank you for this! I’m excited to try it out.

Thanks for the informative video. Can you use the same screen for multiple shirts before cleaning it?
You sure can just don’t let it dry.
Awesome! What about stencil vinyl? Does it work the same way as regular vinyl?
It doesn’t work as well in my opinion because it’s not as sticky
Hi! Which Gildan shirt are you using? It looks like it’s super soft.
It’s a soft style 640
@@CorinneBlackstone Thank you!

I’ve tried the burned screens and vinyl of course and no I don’t see any image quality difference.
@@CorinneBlackstone I might have to run out and order supplies! Sooo excited to try!!!
Can you use multiple colors? To give it more details
Yes I have videos about doing multiple colors as well
@@CorinneBlackstone thanks so much I will look for them.
Got all the materials for it but have not done a lot with it.
Do you need to rinse the screen between shirts?
No you will damage the vinyl if you rinse it
How does it hold up by washing?
Amazing. I have shirts I’ve washed at least 100 times and they are still perfect

I tried with white ink but the ink wasn’t laid even after I did 3 passes? It was barely on parts of design once I lifted my shirt up??

@@CorinneBlackstoneok thanks! What do you recommend practicing on?
@@legzn2423 just buy some cheap cotton fabric from Joann or wherever or you can get some shirts from the dollar tree or thrift stores
