Good video, but it would help if you let us know the size of the room you just cooled, then the time it took to cool the room would be more relevant.

What everybody seems to be missing out on every damn video I watch on UA-cam about these portable aircons is how comfortable you feel with the machine on ie do you feel cold air straight away not how does it chill a space for a period of time just is it nice to have it running in front of you like a fan but with a cold breeze cooling you down not the whole room ,BTW did you know that this model is made by one of the main world manufacturers of aircon Daewoo and then licensed to anybody who wants to stamp their brand name on it 😉

I am more interested in the price and warranty policy.

He litteraly said it cools the room off in 30 minutes. I have a youtube channel and everybody comments before actually watching videos and it's super annoying.

doesnt matter. These things are universal. The thing that goes in the window is adjustable

Using a "portable air conditioner" can be compared to running a refrigerator with the door open. Not only do they allow hot air to enter the room through nooks and crannies around windows and doors because of the lower the air pressure in the room, but they also suck in, and pump out, the same cooled air that they just generated. In addition to that, the condenser is also located in the same room as the evaporator, and not all of that heat leaves the room via the hose, but is radiated by the device into the area that it should be cooling, which is also inefficient. Don't ever be tricked into buying a portable air conditioner. They all suffer from the same fundamental flaw.

This may be true but theres some cases where a portable air conditioner is the only option. (Rented houses, temporary accommodation, flats etc) And its still better than just fan in that case
Also the UK banned duel hose portable air conditioners since they are a fire hazard

Inefficient..it exhausts cold air from the room..dumb purchase

Ralph... people are installing these in a room that has no air conditioning. The room is not cool. Yes at some point the room gets cool but then the thermostat will turn the unit off. What would you propose people do to cool a room when they do not have central air?

And your an expert are you? , what you've got to remember is that these things have been well thought out and quality manufactured, they're sold throughout the world so they're not going to be as bad as you make them out it's obviously something your doing wrong most other people are happy with them ,the biggest criticism should be the running costs ..

@@flannelguydiy6458 - 70F is cold for a lot of people. I think he was frustrated with the review because cooling a room in 85F to 75F is much more relevant.

Agreed. but its better than nothing. I'd purchase a dual hose.
