GREAT CATCHES on a great looking spot. CONGRATS on the BLACK Beaver, I've never caught a black Beaver down here in NE Iowa. I've been chasing after an Albino Beaver now for 2yrs that's trap shy from 4 other prior trappers on this property. Someday I will connect on it but is going to take the right set at the right time.

Great videos. My dad was a very good trapper. When i was small he always took me along. Many miles of walking. One year he and his trapping partner caught 120 beaver. Trapping nowadays has to be because you love trapping. I have heard prices are poor. Is there still a market for the casters and oil sacks? I remember my dad would have them drying on a wire in his trapping shed. Glad i learned that skill from him. I still have a very large Black Beaver he caught made into a rug hanging in my great room! Keep up the good work!!!

Awesome video I'd like to go out trapping but things are still freezing out here in alaska I took a ride looking for a good spot to set some traps but then the worst happened. I swamped my snow machine and my boy had to come pull me out. Pretty scary still.
The only problem with pulling toward you is if you lose that spring, watch yer... tender bits... because, from personal experience, that really hurts X-D!!

Definitely nice catches for sure!!! I’d still love to see you get an albino beaver!!! I definitely think that they are way more rare than a black beaver!!! I’m still very disappointed in my self for selling the two albino beavers the first year I had ever went beaver trapping!! Heck I can’t even remember what they sold for but I no that they were at least double what you get out of regular beavers!! I had sent all mine to auction and the guy that would sell them said that he didn’t like the prices at the first two auction that they went and took what they went for at the third auction!! Then at the end of the year they would send me one big or little check for what they brought!!! He would always hold off on selling them until what ever auction would bring the best price!!! Now that I’m much older I wish I would have kept some so that I could have some neat things made out of them!!! But I can always start to keep the ones I do catch now!!! What do you end up doing with all your beaver pelts??? Do you send some to auction or just keep all them??? And what do you do with the meat??? Do you just toss all the meat or keep it to eat??? I definitely love beaver tenderloins for sure!! But that is just about all I will eat out of a beaver unless maybe one or two for a stew witch is really good also!!!

Trigger on bottom is less fur damage. Trigger on top your catch rate is better
R U ready for the snow storm on Thursday night through Saturday morning.
It's just gonna miss us here thankfully. We are supposed to get 1-3 inches Thursday but after that nothing. We still have the cold snap though

@@330ManiacAwesome! Not sure if that scrape was on public land or not but it would have been cool if you threw up a trail cam for the time span you were trapping that location.
