No apologies needed! Heck I didn't trap any beaver this year. (bad back, surgery in two weeks) We're here when you can post, all good. Love your channel, take care!
It's something how you, and I trap beaver so much alike. I've been trapping for 55 years now, and learned so much in those years that's how all learn is experience. Great job as always buddy.
At last! I've finaly solved nuisance beaver problem in my pond (I hope so). But only snares were effective. I caught 5 of them so far and there are no more signs of beavers activity. But I was also trying to catch them with footholds, drowning sets and castor mounds, and had nothing but misses. 7 (seven) misses in a row. Vintage Victor Jump traps#4, Duke#3 coilsprings and Victor #4 longsprings. All of them failed. Traps were fired and no catches. I counted holes and burrows ripped by these pests in the pond's levees. 48 holes made by 5 beavers!
Great job! Very impressive. Tomorrow is the end of our season so hopefully you can squeak another trapping video in before work but definitely understand if you can't.
You may have covered this before but what do you do with the pelts? do the carcasses get used for anything? When I was in AK the carcasses made get bear bait and people with sled dogs loved them also. Thanks.
Good check Scott tobad they don't extent the Beaver season til the end of May.. you guys aren't gonna have much of a season at all. Hope you do good the last 2 weeks tight chains bud
Such a downer, no more catching. What happens with the catches? Can YOU make anything with the pelts? Thank you for sharing. What do you do for your 9-5?

Old man winter just doesn't want to let go😕

Nice looking beavers. What do you do with the teeth?
I sell them unskinned

What do you do with the water rats? Why do you trap them also?
Love watching your videos
👍
I just sell them. They cut down a lot of vegetation that other birds and critter use for refuge and food.
So they are like a regular rat.
Thank you
