I have a friend and a co-worker who I think is an enfp. I could say, most of this words truly fit her. She's bubbly and fun. And as an introvert, she's one of the select people I'd love having around. We have lots of deep talks and meaningful conversations that I love. To me she's like the sun, but she once told me that sometimes, she's like a moon too. There are times when she's in the dark and not always that she's complete. She's one of the few people whose friendship I'd treasure for life even if in the future we'll make our separate paths.

@@fowchiiiliedpuppiesdied thank you, I love this explanation. To return the favour, INFJs have always been my greatest inspirations and the ones who can not only see the same depth I see, but also put the important parts into words. Most of them were at odds with each other, but the ENFP and INFJ formed a natural team without even having to talk about it, making me grin.
Bittersweet - I've always struggled with this and it's been a source of anxiety for me. Never in any moment have I truly felt singularly happy or sad. Even in most of my happiest moments , I've been haunted with cynicism. And even in some of the most painful times, I've found myself smiling , even laughing at the irony. And it's terrified me to think that I can't truly be completely happy or sad. Logically speaking, it is an advantageous trait, but it still bothered me. Now I know I was never the only one.💚💚💚
My sister ❤️ She’s hilarious and chaotic and loving and creative. She’s beautiful and great with people but remains humble at the same time. ENFPs are so cool!
Intimidating is one I get, “intimidating but kind” was said to me recently. I wasn’t sure how to take it but I don’t mind tbh. think it’s that childlike directness coupled with being rebellious and quickly reading links in ideas and people which people aren’t used to seeing so they’re intimidated by it. I’d be mortified if someone was genuinely scared of me however that is never what I’m putting out there. I’m nice! 😂❤
I think we’re also intimidating by being unpredictable even to ourselves. Not to mention the fact that other types regularly underestimate us. Matured ENFPs can create drastic changes at a fast rate which also scares people who don’t like change and prefer structure. We may take the whole ‘New Year New Me’ game seriously since we learn and move so fast making us unrecognizable to people we used to know
I think the simple fact that we're extroverts is enough to begin having people be intimidated by us albeit unintentionally. I know myself I talk loud and I talk fast and I move fast. People who are more introverted or reserved or prefer to move at a steadier pace find that a bit unnerving. Also, I don't mind it when children find me intimidating because it's always during a time of discipline when a firm word or direction is necessary. I always tell the kids I'm in charge of "I could be your best friend or your worst nightmare how you behave determines what you get." Finally come as champions for the misfits and the disadvantaged. I think if you put us in a corner where someone we love is being mistreated we won't be intimidating we'll be downright scary! I rarely get to that point anymore but when I do don't mess with me just give me what I want and everything will be nice again.
As an ENFP, this feels a little like reading the Horoscope, part of me wants to go ''yeah bro thats literally me'' but all of these words are just compliments that everyone probably feels represented by

Heavily related to the part about pouring your soul into your creations. I’m an artist who does exactly that with my works and if I don’t feel a personal attachment to something I’m creating I drop the project and start a new one… yes I have many unfinished works 😂 oh well it’s part of the learning process. If my soul isn’t in the piece I don’t want it. I love using the words paradoxical, intense, scatterplot, colorful, jumbled, anonymous, open hearted, flirty, random, and psychedelic to describe my ENFP brain. I strongly feel that many couldn’t handle peering into my jumbled scatterplot of a thoughts.
I made a comment with some of my favorite words too! I think my favorite word is perspective. Not necessarily as a word itself, but because I think it resolves pretty much every conflict. I also like virtue, sphere, elephant, raccoon, and yinyang. Yes im kind of preachy lol. I guess it's a Te grip or something like that Oh and I really like your words too btw.
I like how ENFPs make up new words and use slang words that has either been out of use for quite some time, or reinvented.... the wit is what draws me to them. They are such fun people.

ENFP here! Yes to all of these! But we're also...uplifting, melancholy, wide-eyed, creative, bubbly, moody, wacky, starry-eyed, inclusive, daring, audacious, sanguine, wanderlust-driven, sensuous, and passionate!
I'm an ENFP and I agree with all these words but especially recently I feel strongly with catalysts because I've taken up this supporter role in my friendships lately where I am the number one person to go to when they have ideas or want to do something. I can encourage people and give them advice because my knowledge is broad. Not necessarily deep but very broad.
This video lit my heart on fire, and soared a fleet of hot air balloons of my flights of fancy at the hope of being seen, square into their center target, skyward.
DUENDE ! The word u used to describe ENFP in a previous video. I love this word soooooo much . Loved the video, would have liked some negative aspects /words too, or are we just THAT GOOD ! 😋
OMG you use these as pep talks too?! *phew* not nearly as alone as I thought! 🎉😁 I hope you have a blessed day, character cousin! (assuming you're an ENFP or similar to one too)
The F in ENFP basically means that a person is selfish. Not necessarily in a bad way, but they thrive on feeling good, and are (from the perspective of others) wholly incapable of tolerating negative emotions. This makes them seek out things that gives them positive vibes, and avoid negativity like the plague. (That’s why they’re “childlike.”) But, because they’re also extroverted (and not greedy or materialistic), the things that give them good feelings are almost always other people - shared experiences, social life, and happy gatherings. This mutes their innate selfishness, and makes them fun to be around. In short, ENFPs are indispensable at weddings, and useless at funerals.
There's a catharsis in sharing energy with someone who's grieving. To uplift and inspire in someone's hour of need. Interesting way of thinking of it though, definitely feeds the desire to find meaning and purpose, connection, fulfillment.
The feeling part actually means that they internalize experiences rather than externalize them. Some people have the lack of ability to internalize how actions effect the world around them. Thinkers tend to lay logic on the line then compare outcomes where as feeling types have this deep emotional aspect that they have gained through previous actions and internal values. It's seriously annoying. Like the whole process could be avoided if we could logically draw the same conclusions based on given data or trust previous sources.
I'm glad I'm more fixed than what they're depicting. Maybe ENFPs are more misunderstood than interpreters like to believe. Sure we're the "let's feel this situation out" type but that's because our creativity feeds on our growth through engagement. Long drawn out plans don't necessarily keep our creative minds turning. This can be frustrating, but deep reflection and centering self back to values helps bring that wildcard energy back to center. We're dreamers with a whole community of people we love in mind. ❤
Catalyst is one of my favorite words. It's about leverage. I also like: Perspective Virtue Sphere Didactic was cool too. And iconoclast. Very cool :) Not the meat metaphor though. Swivet - that is about the "comfort zone" saying that some ppl love. I've always hated that saying because what about when you are comfortable with trying new things? Ppl will still try to push others to feel uncomfortable, rather than embrace new things themselves. And meraki. That was a new word for me. Thanks for the new word. Edit: oh yeah, kindness is divinity. That is my mantra lately
I really appreciated the bittersweet part - I've been becoming more cynical and not feeling alright about it in one way but knowing it's based on reality in another and feeling confused.
Bittersweet - I hate this word. Honestly, I think bitter just works, in most contexts. People say "oh it's bitter sweet" and then they just list the negatives. No, that's just bitter. Lol. Also, thank you for mentioning that we are not just optimists. I describe myself as a realist, and that includes the good as well as the bad. Pessimists tend to co-opt the word realism but that's just a lie. Because they're ignoring the good. (But I think it's because they are trying to feel guarded and secure, and when you are under attack, you don't want to show your vulnerabilities.) But yeah I get accused of being naive, optimist, idealist, etc, and it's usually an insult from lesser life forms
I think ENFP is one of the most open types. I guess it depends in the person though. Im not as compatible with T types because they're less kind and I can't stand that. I think im really only compatible with NF, or maybe SF if they are very open minded. Because i need to feel acknowledged, and Ts always want to ridicule.
I’m an INFP who has always wondered why I would be perfectly matched to ENFP. Now I know why. This glimpse to an ENFP in 20 words has me absolutely fascinated 🥰💖🤭 I can’t wait to end up with one!
I'm a current ENFP who's now 28 years old (and former ENFJ, from ages 18-21) who is married to a 30-year-old INFJ man for a few years (and dated while I was an ENFJ)... and I gotta say... WOW. I caught myself blushing as I reminisced about how he told me that I represent various words in this list (while the remainder of the list God told me Himself through self-discovery and maturity). I thank you for the time and effort you put into this and look forward to the INFJ one so I can see how I already describe or could possibly better describe my husband's perspective/personality traits. 💯👍🏾😁 😊🎉*squeals with excitement* 🤭🥳
You know, this is the one .. I was feeling like an ENTP might be me for a while, then see. .. along came something said about ENFP and I was off again, floating free I did ponder, as I did wander If I could be that over yonder or should I stay home and cease to roam instead of through the world carome? Yaye or Naye, thither or yon .. Should I go or just be gone? Could I belong among the throng, known so gleefully as ENFP? Which is to say, I heard something that made me wonder if I hadn't settled too quickly. Then, I proceeded to iinvestigate every other possibility. I landed on or near, instead of coming straight to here.
The reason ENFPs are child-like, is because we choose to embrace those parts of ourselves. Those parts of ourselves that were there since the beginning, those parts that the world is constantly trying to kill. Without dreams of childhood, painful as they may be to bear, the world is locked into a stasis.
*zing* ... I have actually been called- even, at times, accused- of being a catalyst. Literally. As in I was sometimes put in situations for the simple purpose of, by my existence there, creating change without a plan as a workable plan for creating change was not found by the use of logic or psychology. Not even kidding a little bit.
I can do this. Getting rid of my dummy look. Starts now!!! Words story telling, make acquaintances into friends and I don't know how to be a child probably a good thing. My start to an ENFP tipe
I feel like Nathan would enjoy The Good Place series, anyone with me on that? His videos and the series are kinda similar in that they explore the same ideas many different ways and despite the plot not really changing its still very interesting
Yo, that's one of my favorite shows of ALL TIME, and barely anyone else I know gave it a chance! Like come on, it's a fever dream of a show, but had so much wisdom, brilliant humor... I can rave about it for quite some time 🤣💯
Probably the best show I’ve seen! I loved the Buddhism references especially since I recently became a Buddhist. But the real question is: Is Michael in hell and the show is just his journey for him to reach Nirvana? You may notice the opening seen starts with him and the very last seen finishes with him .. My ENFP boyfriend and I loved this series
Enfps are very socially competent. They can with ease talk to people from any background or education level. Btw, this observation is from someone who is not an enfp.
I love that word too! Actualization. That is one of my mantras. I used to think I was actualized because of being gay. I thought that coming out of the closet caused me to face myself and realize who I am. But I couldn't understand why im so different from most gay men. Sure im flighty but im not quite so... catty. Im not a group type person either, cuz I like to be different and gay guys can't stand that from me. So I think about actualization a lot. And now I think it's more because of my personality type. As an NF.
I always joke: Everyone talks about the inner child, but I have a whole toddler group.

Butter me up for that subscription why don’tcha
I heavily relate to all of these words, I especially love the novel ones you really put effort into this :)
Catalyst is one of my favorite words. It's about leverage.
I also like:
Perspective
Virtue
Sphere
Didactic was cool too.
That's a really good mantra. I agree with it's message
I would love this for all the types especially infp and isfp
Do ISFP's like ENFP's?
Swivet is a new one for this ENFP. Well played.
Huh... There you go again Nathan, inflating my self image! And you're so good at, too! Stop it, will you, please... Please...
These emojis tho 😂😂😂
Ty great video
I really appreciated the bittersweet part - I've been becoming more cynical and not feeling alright about it in one way but knowing it's based on reality in another and feeling confused.
Such a cool idea for a video series :3 PLEASE consider making some more of these for other types as well :D
Bittersweet - Optimistic and cynical
Controlled chaos is my favorite
Aw, thank you, I'm an ENFP and this warmed my cynical little heart. ☺
(But I think it's because they are trying to feel guarded and secure, and when you are under attack, you don't want to show your vulnerabilities.)
But yeah I get accused of being naive, optimist, idealist, etc, and it's usually an insult from lesser life forms
Meraki, love it!
Swashbuckling ♥️ I feel it's one of the most representative words. In your opinion, which type(s) are the best romantic match for ENFPs?
I've been with a INTP for 12+ years. I bring her out of her shell.
Just awesome !
This is great!
In 4 words: Mr.Bean who cares.
"moree stuff will happen...." Haha I love that. And all the other words too!
So spot on!
😊🎉*squeals with excitement* 🤭🥳
Former? What?
That's not how types work. You can't be former anything. Consider ESFJ btw, Fe dom with decent Ne may seem like ENFP.
yeah former what??huh????
You can’t change type 😹😹
@@vixen7774 why shouldn't you be able to? Especially after a life crisis, your personality might be exposed to change.
Man, i thought i was an INFP, but after this, i think i might be wrong
Colour and chaos.
Thank you!
16 Personality types and levels of contentment in life
The reason ENFPs are child-like, is because we choose to embrace those parts of ourselves. Those parts of ourselves that were there since the beginning, those parts that the world is constantly trying to kill. Without dreams of childhood, painful as they may be to bear, the world is locked into a stasis.

Can you do more ENTJ and ISFP videos?
*zing* ... I have actually been called- even, at times, accused- of being a catalyst. Literally. As in I was sometimes put in situations for the simple purpose of, by my existence there, creating change without a plan as a workable plan for creating change was not found by the use of logic or psychology. Not even kidding a little bit.
Brilliant, Creative, Quirky, Deep, Artistic, Sensitive, Playful, Unconventional, Amusing, Insightful, Perplexing, Deviant, Whimsical, Adventurous, Spontaneous, Introspective, Curious, Abstract, Friendly, Nostalgic, Thoughtful, Expressive, Warm-Hearted, Aesthetic, Reflective, Noble
I can do this. Getting rid of my dummy look. Starts now!!! Words story telling, make acquaintances into friends and I don't know how to be a child probably a good thing. My start to an ENFP tipe
With Ti in the seventh slot, I thought the plural for Moose was Meese until I was 27.
Enfp is like my best friend type
Sincerely, an intp
THIS IS MY NEE FAVORITE VIDEO EVER
Need to start charting I guess
Can you do this for ENFJs please 😭 begging
Soulful, peaceful, enigma, thoughtful, kind, clean, plodding, reliable, grateful. And pwetty
I feel seen👍💕😀
Doesn't it feel SO GOOD?!?! And reading like-minded comments from your "character cousins" is the icing on the cake for me.
@@reflectwithrenee it's gorgeous! We are a bunch of weirdos, ready to paint the town red🙃😂💕
I'm crying and laughing at the same time.
Enfps are very socially competent. They can with ease talk to people from any background or education level.
Btw, this observation is from someone who is not an enfp.
Actualisational
I love that word too! Actualization. That is one of my mantras.
I used to think I was actualized because of being gay. I thought that coming out of the closet caused me to face myself and realize who I am. But I couldn't understand why im so different from most gay men. Sure im flighty but im not quite so... catty. Im not a group type person either, cuz I like to be different and gay guys can't stand that from me. So I think about actualization a lot.
And now I think it's more because of my personality type. As an NF.
#20 I turned on captions and am now highly amused!
They can seem intrusive and childish to some when not healthy.
