OOOOOOO yummy. Fantasitc tutorial. No fuss, no expensive tools to make these lovely roses. Great idea, roling the marzipan between a film. Thanks for sharing all these precious tips and your talent.
how awesome is that! amazing. thanks for posting... when i first saw you roll out the marzipan on the onset i thought i would be seeing a "bed of roses" at the end... wow all the hard work. I will try it for sure.
Ohh wonderful! Thank you for posting this @ ChefDePatisserie! I have about a kilo of 40% almond marzipan and I wanted to make some fruits and veggies and now I can make roses, too! I only hope mine turn out as pretty as yours are. Your channel is a keeper! Thank you again! xoxo
Congratulations...beautiful design of the rose...I would like to ask you something, and I really hope that you can answer this post. I would like to make marzipan fruits as candie for a tea party, but I dont have much time so I would like to do it in my spare time...question: how long can marzipan candies qould last?
@Tsudei Yes, you can eat marzipan... you can eat the rose, if you want. :) Marzipan is made from almond paste and sugar. There are different kinds of marzipan with different proportions of these ingredients. The more almond paste, the more it will taste like almonds.
This is so amazing! You make it look so easy! I've always wanted to learn how to make those roses, but can I use the same technique for, say, fondant? I don't think there's any marzipan in our local stores here..
Wow!! That was amazing :) i've watched many videos on here n i'd say your my best pick ... they all used so many equipment which was confusing and hard to find in most the stores i go into but you make it seem easy and perfect :) i just wanted to ask some people say you should leave it for 24hours to dry and then eat it or what ever ? is it true ? x
@alicewonderist I don't make the marzipan myself. I buy raw marzipan (almond paste) in large quantities. Then, mix the same amounts of raw marzipan and icing sugar to get "normal" marzipan.
This is great, but could you please tell me how you attach the roses to the cake? Or do you just balance them on top? I'm new to baking so i'm just wondering how you do it. Nice simple video by the way! :)
WELL DONE...REALLY THANKS FOR SHOWING..CAN YOU PLS TELL ME HOW THAT DOUGH IS MADE??PLS..I AM DESPERATELY LOOKING A GOOD VIDEO FOR MAKING FLOWERS..I SAW YOUR VIDEO...THANKS..BUT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW THE DOUGH IS MADE??I HAVENT TRIED THIS IN A CAKE..SO PLS..ADVICE.
There are different kinds of fondant paste. Some are especially made for creating cake decoration like flowers. So, maybe you used one that is not suited for making this kind of decoration. With marzipan, it's really easy and you will not have these problems with the consistency. So, just give it another try. :)
PLEASE ANSWER THIS IMMEDIATELY! My mother's birthday is tomorrow... And i wanna make her a cake (obviously) but what was that stuff that you used to make the roses? How do you make it? Does it need refrigerated? ? PLEASE HELP ME!
So I've tried using fondant, but it has a really horrible texture and it separates in my hand and sticks to it and it's impossible to mould anything! :'( Is marzipan the same or does it have a thicker consistency? I need something that I can work easily in my hands.
+Martin Brenmann There's nothing special you need to do. :) The marzipan will slowly dry. Once it's dry, you can keep it like it is for a long time. As you will likely not eat it anymore, you could then use a clear lacquer to make it a look better (shiny).

@vuksha84 That's actually a bit of the filling from the fraisier cake. It's a mix of pastry cream and butter cream.
Amazing video and beautiful cake. Thank you so much for sharing. What was the small gel that you used to hold the marzipan on top of the cake?
Beautiful! Very nice tehnique! Thank you for sharing! I definitely will make roses like you!
Beautiful roses! Do you ever use fondant instead of marzipan since I find some people don't like the taste of marzipan?
@Tsudei Yes, you can eat marzipan... you can eat the rose, if you want. :)
Marzipan is made from almond paste and sugar. There are different kinds of marzipan with different proportions of these ingredients. The more almond paste, the more it will taste like almonds.
@wathepoint No, it's not neccessary. You can decorate the cake with the roses immediately. The marzipan is firm enough at room temperature.
Super!!! Absolutely beautiful & artistically done!
@xxOISHxx The rose is mainly for decoration. Of course, you can eat it if you want (it's marzipan). No need to wait 24 h... ;)
You make it look so easy 😂😂😂😂😂😂 beautiful video 👍❤️ thank you

Its easy to make marzipan. Equal parts super fine almond flour and confectioners sugar with spoonfuls of corn syrup to make it pliable. added to make

the ose is beautiful. how much of marzipan did you need for 2 roses and hov long was the stripe?
Love the marzipan and the music. What is the tune?
This is great, but could you please tell me how you attach the roses to the cake? Or do you just balance them on top? I'm new to baking so i'm just wondering how you do it. Nice simple video by the way! :)
You can use a little cream filling (or buttercream) as "glue" to make the rose stick to the cake. :) Another alternative is using a toothpick.
ChefDePatisserie Ah, thank you :)
@karomanah Yes, you can color marzipan with gel color, no problem. :)
@xxxXrandomstuffXxxx Yes, it's possible. Use the same technique as shown in the video. Just give it a try. :)

LOVE YOUR WORK
I AM A FAN :D
@ChefDePatisserie Thanks so much! I think I am going to attempt this for my mother in laws birthday next weekend.
I usually make them with marzipan, but you could do it with fondant, as well. It works the same way.
Totally AMAZING!!! I want to do little carrots and bananas for cakes. Can you do those at all?
just awesome...so simple and easily done. gr8
I can make these roses by using this video - Its so easy
Nothing! Nothing, short of brilliant!
❤ Awesome! Thanks for sharing.
meraviglioso lavoro di alta pasticceria!
@karambazone No, the marzipan you use for decorationg needs no baking.
Marzipan is made from almond paste and icing sugar. A typical ratio is 1:1 (i.e. one part almond paste and one part icing sugar).
Thanks. :)
The "gel" is a little bit from the filling of the fraisier cake.
OMG it looks AMAZING ! Thanx for sharing !!
@Tsudei Sure you can and it is SOOOOO yummy! So much nicer than fondant in my opinion =)
There are different kinds of fondant paste. Some are especially made for creating cake decoration like flowers. So, maybe you used one that is not suited for making this kind of decoration.

When you make the leafs do you use regular flour
This made me smile. Waaah!! I wanna do it myself soon!!!

I need something that I can work easily in my hands.
does this recipe of marzipan have egg whites? if so is it possible to bake the roses before putting them on top? or will they not look the same?
Breanna Reynolds Marzipan is mostly sugar. I believe if you try to bake it, it would lose its shape due to melting.
It's not a dough, it's marzipan. Marzipan is made from almond and icing sugar. You can buy it in shops that sell ingredients for baking.
amizing, but this is fondant. can you make it from marzipan?
yumeiro patissiere brought me here :D amazing video

how did you get the coral colour on marzipan? which colours did you mix?
Hi Jamila, I used just a little red food coloring. That's all. :-)
@MsDevil258 That's icing sugar, not flour. ;)
That's edible leaf gold. It's used as decoration for cakes or desserts.
What do you only need to do to preseve marzipan for up to 6 months or even more?
+Martin Brenmann There's nothing special you need to do. :) The marzipan will slowly dry. Once it's dry, you can keep it like it is for a long time. As you will likely not eat it anymore, you could then use a clear lacquer to make it a look better (shiny).
