    FINALLY!!! I finally found a flower tutorial, that is about beautiful flowers, and has a person who gives the instructions slowly enough for me to understand and also has a pretty and well pronounced voice. Thank you so muuuch :D Hope you're having a great day !

    Great idea, you can make them well ahead of time and store in the fridge, always make extra in case you drop one or break one when you are putting it on, that way you have back up. And do make sure you watch the temper choc and what choc to use vids so they don't melt out of the fridge.

      Is tempered chocolate vegan?

    • @no-ln3nm
      @no-ln3nm 4 роки тому

      gman805 its just regular chocolate with reformed crystals, so the same ingredients as the chocolate you buy from the store

    Hi warregah7 yes and yes use oil based or candy colour to colour it or once set you can dust with luster dust to colour, see the chocolate feather tutorial for a demonstration of this

  • @HowToCookThat
    @HowToCookThat  12 років тому

    yes that is correct. tempering white chocolate is trickier than dark chocolate so if you have trouble you can use candy melts

    Hi Mahana if you live somewhere hot and have no aircon then I would suggest you use chocolate melts or candy melts as they have a higher melting point and therefore set at a higher temperature too.

    I really love the way you created these roses. I can't wait to try this. I worked with chocolate for the first time when I decorated the top of a cake with the chocolate petals that I made by just using a spoon. They turned out better than I thought, but I can't wait to try this way for the roses. Thanks so much.

    Hi Mary, that is correct, if you use 'fake' chocalte it has a higher melting temp so it is a good place to start, otherwise use tmepered chcolate. Wearing silcone gloves can also help protect the petals for the heat of your hands.

    Hi Mary, yes you need to use oil based colouring so that it mixes in well and doesn't cause the chocolate to seize. I have used gel based colour before but found it didn't give a smooth or bright colour. Another easy way to add colour is the method I used int eh chocolate feather video, check that one out.

    I've never messed with chocolate before. Stumbled upon your videos last week and decided I would try these flowers and the butterflies for on top of a friends birthday cake. WOW its a lot harder then it looks! I will need some serious practice! Either the chocolate starts cooling too fast or I break them when taking them off the baking paper! Need to work on my work flow lol!
