Black Templars actually revere Astropaths because they are among the few who have been in the presence of the Emperor Himself, and they see them as blessed and nigh-holy emissaries!

Sometimes bards lacklustre rolling in epic situations really takes me out of it ya know? Emperors champion throwing himself out of a transport directly into the fray only to ….. wound a single ork bike? Still love him tho just pointing it out ahaha
Kind of new to 40k so not really sure about the different armies, are orks really bad or are black templars really good? It didnt seem like the orks ever even had a chance to win
I've been considering what final faction I'm going to collect, so I have to ask how the Templars in general balance are as after knights and custodies I'd like to play a faction not so games are one sided either your opponent can deal easily with what you have or get stomped.
My friend plays them and I play against him fairly regularly, not sure how they are lost balance, but a large part of their kit was (not sure if still is) big bricks (like 20 models) of melee focused groups etc. they seem very fun to play and play against
I wish I was a big enough man to sit through a battle report that is anything but hyper-competitive (preferably with poorly or unpainted models). So alas, I will be clicking off, but as compensation, hopefully a like and this comment will do enough positive work in the algorithm.

Can't join on demand really but the prelude to this campaign being a horde mode game between the orks and guard they are saving is very cool to me
Beard used a CP reroll round 1, meaning he wouldn't have been able to interrupt round 2, which would have drastically changed that fight.

Balance is a tricky beast, as often as the rules / points cost change.
Find something you like the lore of and focus on fun lists for casual games
