    RIP Dr. Michael Heiser ... your wisdom & words of things seen (& unseen) helped to shape so many of our walks & journeys with Jesus. Your light will forever shine brightly. Thank you Dr. H

    I'm a big DMSH fan and this is probably the best interview I have ever heard with him. It was like you were riding Seabiscuit and letting him run. You were right there with him in the weird zone where he is best. (If it's weird, it's important.) Funny that you were telling him it was time to go, and he was not leaving. Well done!

      Looking back, I wish everyone who interviewed Dr. Heiser let him go/talk for as long as he wanted! Only God knows what he took with him! Is there a concerted effort on the part of friends & family & fans to continue & explore ideas not fully honed, literature not fine tuned, etc?

    Heiser was one of the few scholar-level people studying these supernatural aspects of Genesis and throughout the Bible. Some people want to dismiss his work because they disagree with this or that, or maybe he was wrong on certain things, but hopefully others will continue the study as Brian Godawa and Derek Gilbert have done.

    I was baptized in the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues. I had difficulty with the same church that I had this experience and their non acceptance of the scriptures about the nephilim and the Watchers. Yet, for me to deny the experience of the baptism of the Holy Spirit would be blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. I know what I know and it strengthened my faith in The Father and Christ and Him crucified. I've learned about the kundalini spirit in the years since and I know the true baptism of the Holy Spirit is an anointing beyond anything that is beyond understanding. I call it a taste of God breathing life into me. Living Waters pouring through me.

    I get that Dr. Heiser was miles smarter than guys like me, but in his talking about the height of Goliath, he doesn't mention there at least in this conversation about the added details, like the weight of the armor and weapons he wielded. Aren't those relevant data points?

    • @ASpeakingHuman

      Tim Chaffey, Gary Wayne, Ryan Pitterson and others think Goliath was around 9'9". I agree with them. I've read nearly all of Heiser's books. He is a legend. His work is groundbreaking and essential. But I have a minor disagreement with him here.

    Not sure hes totally correct on evangelicals not accepting his supernatural worldview.
    As i work on my 2nd PhD, im finding more and more (as of 2024) who eat it up, who are saying "now this all makes sense!" Listen to some of the hosanna integrity praise songs of the 80s (Mighty Warrior, Making War in the Heavenlies, The Battle Belongs to the Lord, etc.), songs these folks grew up with. And when you put the gods with the powers and principalities, and its a territorial confrontation, and their theology starts to click better, at least in the churches ive been in. For those who are politically savvy, they see the Deep State as one example of the machinations of the fallen elohim. Perhaps his definition of evangelical is different, but ive found evangelical-charismatic to eat his stuff up and share it with their friends and family. (Pentecostal Holiness, Church of God, Assembly of God, etc)

    I thought he was a pretty smart guy, but if he doesn’t know what the Bible is talking about when it talks of speaking in tongues (different languages) and why (to spread the gospel to other nations), I really don’t know how reliable he is. God gave them that ability, without having to learn the language, in order to spread the gospel. That’s what matters and the purpose of the Bible. 1 Timothy 1:4, 2 Timothy 2:14. I’ve seen the big triangle “ufo”, but it had a red blinking light very near center. I don’t think aliens follow FAA rules. What people won’t believe is what certain groups of elite humans keep secret and the knowledge they hold. That is what everyone is missing.

    • @kathymyers7279
      @kathymyers7279 Рік тому +1

      That threw me too! I mean, it’s IN THE BIBLE. One reason why I do listen and believe him is his humility. He will say, he doesn’t know and refuses to debunk another’s experience. He’s a cerebral guy without one! Benny Hinn refused to allow Holy Spirit laughter in his meetings! (I’ve been healed through this.) he NEVER had the EXPERIENCE. Both of these guys have their part in the Body. At least Heiser says , “I don’t know”. And we have to get they aren’t the all in all. (keeps us out of idolatry.)

    If hell was annihilation, no one would care and it wouldn’t matter. That’s what atheists think anyway. That’s saying hell is nothing and nothing God has said or done matters. That just says do what you want because death and nonexistence is all that’s coming. Why has he kept the angels who sinned in chains until judgement and why did he create a a place for them for eternity when he could just delete them. Annihilation makes no sense whatsoever.

    True! But the enemy presents as an angel of light. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water. No need to be 'ruined' since the bible clearly teaches about the gifts of the spirit. We must use discernment.

    And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers..... These giants were more than 12 ft tall ... can that be proven? critical thinking says they were taller than 12 ft but did the bible state that? No.. the bible gave no number but an expression..... so Dr Heiser stating the bible only recorded 9-10 ft tall isnt applying critical thinking here. So not understanding his base for limiting the size of giants to 10 ft tall.

  • @ausonius100
    @ausonius100 Рік тому

    Heiser was a truly knowledgeable man! He could however muffle up a bit on certain subjects and introduce a sort of ill placed naturalism when the Bible certainly went the step further. Like "Oh no, the giants were not that big" and "Oh, Im sure Moses had a normal boring life" etc. Aaah, I wont insult Heiser, but it gets annoying at times listening to him do this. (And no doubt Moses had a boring profane old time much of his life, but I mean come on Heiser, Christianity is about the wonders of God, not fallen mans natural and sinful boredom)

    He’s terribly wrong about the “gods” of other countries. I can’t believe he even said what he did. They blow their cover at sometime or another. He’s a speculator instead of a spectator of the work of God.
