I have lived my entire life near Vancouver Canada. The water supply is from Coquitlam Lake . It is very soft water due to the huge amount of rainfall we get here. The WHO says it is the best drinking water in the world. They use very low amounts of chlorine compared to most water systems. The problem is soft water has very low mineral content. I started adding Keto Chow electrolyte drops three years ago and have notice much less water retention in old severe injury sites. Spot on Doc, thanks for all you do and be well.

I moved to alberta and grew up in the lower mainland as well. I think Capilano was the source. BC water is mostly snow pack.
Alberta water is hard. I couldn't get used to it
Had to install an RO and whole house carbon block.
I now add a few drops of liquid aussie minerals now since carnivore.

I’ve been keto for over four years. Lately I learned more about electrolytes, so thank you!! I use LMNT electrolyte packets in my water. I also add a pinch of pink Himalayan salt and powdered potassium to almost all my drinks. Just a tiny bit. I never realized we need 4,700 mg if potassium daily. We get some from food but not enough, so adding it to my drinks helps.

Yes! I totally agree with your assessment of sugar taking in more volume of water into our tissues! Yikes! This also does the same thing to our brains!! Being a life time Diabetic has given me this experience! My doc has told me to stop taking any salt which I know is false! I feel like have to be one step ahead of my doctor all the time, as she doesn't believe in the carnivore way of eating and she doesn't believe that I can have normal glucose levels... In fact her direct quote was was, *that's impossible!, you're crazy to think that!" Then I told her how I'm part of a type 1 grit group on FB and that many people are accomplishing this very thing! She walked out of the room shaking her head ... She herself also is a type 2 diabetic and wears a glucose monitor yet doesn't know how to even treat herself. It's remarkable to me how doctors think they know it all, and hey, I get it! You have to be somewhat confident to enter into the medical field and you have to get your s*** together, and memorize and study, and research! The amount of work and money it costs to do this kind of work is remarkable! I myself wanted to become a doctor but I simply couldn't afford the cost and I found out that medical schools only use the, "Gold Standard" which if you go against this, then often one can lose their license to practice medicine, it's part of the deal, and that I had to follow what the medical schools taught even if that advice was poor or caused harm to the patient! I had many friends who are nurse practitioners, physicians, nutritionists, and they all said the same thing there's no way out of this crisis that the medical field teaches! Yet, I see you teach here and you really give out sound advice you've helped me out a lot I appreciate your work!! You're one of the best thank you! 😎♥️🦓

I then decided that carnivore would be even healthier. I believe lemon esp the peel is beneficial and pleased it is allowed according to this video. On a video, Dr. Westman from Duke Weight Loss Center, said for leg cramps, take a 1/2 teaspoon of milk of magnesia. I did. My leg cramps are gone. WOW!!! I'm addicted to Coke Zero. From what I've read aspartame doesn't cause a blood glucose reaction but can cause an insulin reaction. There are conflicting opinions on this. It also causes kidney stones in ppl that are kidney stone producers, which I am. I only drink water and diet soda, not coffee or tea, so it makes it even harder for me to give up. My solution, and only time will tell if it helps, is to drink a glass of water before and after each diet soda to dilute it in my kidneys. Luckily for me I drink a ton of water so it's not difficult to consume this much. I have also read that aspartame is one of the most highly studied food additives and from what i can tell science has yet to find proof that it causes any type of cancer despite many ppl believing it does. Years ago my specialist, head of internal medicine at the hospital, said it breaks down in the body into 2 harmless parts. After bariatric surgery 7 years ago my surgeon told me the only thing they've found is that at the end of the day ppl who drink diet soda often consume more calories than those that don't. Good luck!

With reference to what you said at 10:52, just wanted to share that in our religion (Islam) it is said a person acquires and should acquire knowledge from cradle to grave. When getting knowledge age is not a factor, many times you get valuable information from someone who is years younger than you, or maybe when you consult with a younger person (even if he/she is a child) on any matter, you might get an answer to your query indirectly which might click something in your brain.

I’m on carnivore now for about 2 weeks. I was looking into electrolytes and how to supplement or if I need to. I read that we need 3500-4700 mg potassium daily. And now that I’m not eating any vegetables, I’m not getting enough. And I have been eating just one meal a day. I calculated based on weight of what I ate and there’s not much potassium…not close to the 3500 mg. Is it safe to supplement potassium citrate up to the recommended amount?
