  • Watch along as i experiment with casting shed snake skin in epoxy resin! 🐍 Creating wonderfully intricate and uniquely patterned pendants, straight from nature!
    The skins i will be using come from a pair of Aussie Coastal Carpet Pythons (Morelia spilota mcdowelli) named Rex and Regina
    and a Darwin Carpet Python (Morelia spilota variegata) named Oddball.
    All skins used are skins gathered while spot cleaning our python enclosures. Snakes shed their skin continuously throughout their lives as they grow.
    I have always found the shed skins beautiful, this video is my attempt to share that view.
    Hope you enjoy! 🕷️
    ** I do not own the audio, Music by the very talented Tijuana Cartel
    from the album Frequent Fliers - The same album i listened to while creating these pendants

    Just another benefit to owning snakes and being an artist...everybody wins!

    So I'm tempted to do this with a 3 foot 8 inch corn snake and try and add in some leaves, either dirt or some small rocks and make it look like a nature piece to build a table around or small stand ha ha.

    I like how u showed us how you sand it down. Or else I would know how. The music is scary though. I had to mute it.

    My ball python hasn't shed in 3 months and I've been keeping humidity in check and feeding him, should I be worried?

    • @reptilefae
      @reptilefae 3 роки тому

      Depending on age no. They shed at different rates. Especially when they reach over 1.

    • @TheSpidergirl
      @TheSpidergirl  4 роки тому +1

      The moulds are just never quite right! I always want something a liiittle different to what is offered... we are looking into creating our own moulds now from what we shape :)
      that should speed things up!!
