Wished you had zoomed in as you were working on the piece & showed us the piece once you were done with it... It looked so beautifully mesmerizing. 😲 So, maybe the kind of Sand paper you used, the type of Resin used & was that a Dremel tool you used & also what lil drill bit did you use. Im wanting to purchase a Dremel just not sure which one to buy cuz I do wanna make sure I buy 1 with this lil buffing thingy you used to polish it at the end. Could you respond to me & let me know the supplies you used & what Dremel I could invest in that has everything I would need to try n make some for my lil grand daughters. ⚘ P.S. It doesn't matter too much which Dremel (or other rotary tool)you buy, that's more about max RPM than anything else. If the kit you buy doesn't have the bit you want, chances are the same store you got it from will sell individual bits or packs of bits. The after market stuff is so cheap you can use it once and throw it out.

It's pretty but a mold would be much easier, save tons of work and resin.
and brushing on a little resin after he got the shape he wanted would have saved him a ton of sanding and polishing.
I thought the same. Dude there are easier ways!!! Use a damn mold!

What did you use to print the mermaid on? Was it jet printer or ink jet or did you get them already printed?
I use laser printer
A better mold and a top coat of resin would've taken this to the next level and saved you a lot of work.

To polishing resin I use sandpapers->water sandpapers 800-2500(grey) -> polishing paste .. To finish wood parts - wooden protector "shine juce-DIY"
