The scariest thing about the rhodoks is with a small strategy of having your infantry in from 20 or so paces and your archers behind you can take on forces 5 times your size. I had got caught by the Swadian army as a merc and had to battle them where it was 400 troops vs my 100. Half nord infantry the other half rhodock crossbows. Using the shield wall strategy we won the battle even with only about 20 dead and 50 injured. That was when I realized I could build an army to conquer the whole land.

Rhodoks were the first faction i played with when i first started Warband. I didn't know what the hell i was doing and learning the game at 100% damage and no saves was HARD. After so, so many hours of playing, I had finally gotten to *that* point of being good... our kingdom had taken over half of Calradia and we were at war with the Khergits. I had a force of about ~120 sergeants and pro crossbowmen and we found the Khan roaming around with 800(!) troops - or rather, he found us. It was an open field battle and 800 horsemen with the luxury of a bow's distance would make quick work of us... But we were lucky. There was a modest hill in the middle and we made our stand there. Sergeants forming a ring around the crossbowmen at the top, the kills were coming in at an astronomical rate. Holes were poked through the lines and we lost almost 100 men... But we made it.
