How to Stalk BIG browns | Incredible Fly Fishing and Camping in South Island | New Zealand

After two months in the North Island I head into the south Island back country stalking huge wild brown trout. Camping out in a remote valley the trip involves some tricky stalking and not the dry fly heaven I had hoped for. Huge fish demand variable tactics on the day - but persistence pays off!
New Zealand is world renowned for stunning scenery and epic sight fishing and this adventure doesn't disappoint. It's late in the season so conditions for fly fishing are challenging in the gin clear river but finding feeding fish delivers some stunning eats and an incredible adventure.

On that type of water strike with a quick downstream sideways rod tip flick then lift you'll hookup so many more fish. Great video.
