Handheld WARS I believe every manufacturer should have a 80 watt battery at bare minimum and use oled panel for those that coming to the party late and the most important thing is performance and price there’s still a room in this market but manufacturers must make it so compelling and affordable if not they will fail just like the MSI claw has
That orange pi looks like what the marines hit their enemies with when the have no more bullets. Whack one time on the head they get the logo orange pi
Plot Twist: The next xbox is actually a handheld. Not a handheld and a console, but just a handheld like the Switch that is dockable, but much more powerful.
Me personally I have the Lenovo Legion go and I love that device especially after I swapped out the SSD and install Bazzite OS in it but from this list the one that has me really interested is the orange Pi Neo just because it's the only other device that will come out of the box pre-installed with Linux instead of Windows 11; Manjaro Linux gaming edition to be precise.
Lenovo Legion Go and Asus Rog Ally previews owner here. I was on the fence to get the Ally X ..... but, after reconsidering my needs so far, I'm going to wait for the Ally 2 or the Go 2. I have a pretty powerful desktop and a Asus Rog Flow Z13 2023 model and I can wait with those 2 until the next big thing came out.
game streaming is honestly pretty great. I used to have the same opinion until recently trying moonlight on my pc with my steam deck & quest 3. Moonlight atleast on my network literally feels almost native (happy suprised since i had low expectations) and geforce now i've noticed depends on the device more than the network. It feels amazing on my steam deck oled but I tried it on my TV's geforce now App and a few other devices and it was unplayable. I don't think it was geforce now itself. IT felt like insane latency, but i think it was actually the Bluetooth connection to the controllers or the devices hardware not being up to snuff. Which you would think a 3000 dollar oled should have as much power as a nvidia shield, but either it doesn't or its processing too much other stuff at the same time. Steam link honestly never worked great for me either, I even had the physical device. It wasn't bad but not good enough for me to enjoy it either.
I initially pre-ordered the Asus Ally X but subsequently decided to cancel it. At the moment, I'm looking forward to the release of either the Legion Go 2 or the Asus Ally 2 next year. In the meantime, I’m using my PC and Asus Zenbook S16 to enjoy casual games.
It really doesn’t. The ally X didn’t really get much more performance out of increasing RAM speeds to the max that Zen 4 allows. Sure, on 1080p in some cases it may lead to even a 10% increase, but it’s very situational. Handhelds don’t really need to be that much more powerful for now, rather improve in the efficiency side of things. Steam Deck is phenomenal due to being a custom chip that even beats the Z1 extreme on lower wattages. The power draw shouldn’t go above 20w, that way we can get the necessary battery life improvements in addition to lower heat.
@@Sumire9287 I guess I didn´t phrase that correctly, when I say faster VRAM I meant actual video memory, like GDDR6 or something, like what XBOX do with its shared memory, you are right about the difference between the Ally x and the Ally but what if you get x10 times the memory bandwidth?
@@VictorRamirez-kd3wl while yes it would benefit, ZEN 4 has been a disaster in terms of memory stability. We’re getting new types of RAM that might improve things, but not to the point of GPU speeds. Besides, such a RAM speed increase would likely benefit more the CPU than the GPU
I feel like Microsoft would absolutely slaughter in this category if they actually tried. They have the expertise of windows and all the software, and they have the hardware with Xbox and the pc space in general, while having the funds for R&D, marketing, etc.
it's really a shame about the Zone. One of only two handhelds outside of the Steam Deck with dual touchpads. I was considering it, but as you said, seems a bit too late to the game for the price. One day these handhelds will be obsolete but I use my Deck more as a controller so any handheld that can't meet all the input standards of the Deck doesn't even get consideration from me.

They could have smaller batteries but the egpu and cpu's need to be super efficient..
I like your handheld based channel. You won a new subscriber.

honest to god i would immediately sell my ps5 and get one
These switch/psp style handhelds are cool but I wish they made a folding one like the ds just for fun and for screen protection
there actually are not dual screen but they have clamshell design foldable just like ds or similar
Gpd win series/gpd pocket series and ayaneo has made a handful of clamshell devices
Look for the ayaneo flip or gpd win mini

I think SteamOS is the killer app. I would love it if these upcoming handholds will be released with SteamOS as an option.
Xbox handheld, switch 2, ayaneo evo and anything with the 890m Stix point.
GPD POCKET 4.. but is like a laptop . I dont like it

I just want a PC handheld with fast vram, you can clearly see how memory bandwidth holds them down

If Xbox did it right they’d crush all competition.
Steam Deck 2 is the only one I want and I expect it to launch sometime next year.
I hope zotac slaps in a 80whr battery on zone..
is a 48Wh battery. They show it on their website.

Are any of these handhelds come with oculink or thunderbolt 5? Otherwise not interested.
How about the Onexplayer X1 AMD
i want zotac zone, idc if its an old chip. i just prefer playstation controller layout any day
ZOTAC,full access to my GOG library and it has a OLED display

That is huge, get rogg ally x, or deck oled
@jesusangelpadrongonzalez7393 do you think the rog ally 2 will be better then steam deck 2?
@darkzs3126 yes.. it will come with oled screen. i'm sure.
@jesusangelpadrongonzalez7393 and with the same z1 extreme or they will change it this time ?
@darkzs3126 maybe a new one.. something is cooking. I'm sure
Well... Technically the z1 non extreme legion go IS the lite 😂
ayaneo 2 , ayaneo kun ?

We need a handheld with a dedicated GPU
That will last 30 min and get too hot to touch?
there was such experiment from razer edge with 640m. That experiment died.
