I have lived in Naples the past 2 years. I'm in the Home Service industry and have met hundreds, if not over a thousand clients during that time. As a whole, I think collectively, Naples has some of the nicest people I have ever met. I think the homeowners here are more picky, because they know what they like and they have the money to get it done. However, people are very nice.
My husband had his own business and he helped build the mansions in Naples. They were in gated communities. I got to see some of the homes. Yes, you can spend a million dollars on a lot with no home on it.
My parents and I were waiting for our reservation at Brava and we were browsing in the jewelry store next to it. The salesman tried to sell my mother a 60K necklace. Her response was simply "we live here". He knew what she meant immediately.
I’m renting in Naples for the second year. Won’t next year though. Way too high for me so back inland I go. And I’m fine with that. I now know what Naples is. The weather is wonderful though. Thank you for your honesty.
You can live in Reflection Lakes for 600k and that's about 10 minutes from downtown. There are a handful of communities in central Naples too. Plus there is a 100% financing Physician loan. Feel free to contact me. I'm happy to help!
I commend you on a very real review of the Naples, Port Royal area of Florida. It is truly for the ultra wealthy unless you come from the same cloth as they do it would difficult to fit in or be accepted. Even when Port Royal was first developed by John Samples in the 1950's he handpicked every person who bought a lot in the development, he did not want anyone living there without his approval.
@@Connect2Florida I live 50 miles inland of LA. It’s nice here in terms of community. But, I’ve lived or visited our beach cities where it’s completely people from other places and where you are faking it to make it or very wealthy. There’s no sense of community in those places. Manhattan Beach, Long Beach, Seal Beach, La Jolla, etc.
This is a well done video, but I wonder, is this meant for people who want to be social, build a network, etc.? I've been visiting my family in Naples for over a decade. Nobody golfs. They drive modest SUVs. Nobody dresses flashy or goes out to expensive shopping sprees. My family have some good friends they've made in their community and around town and that's it. I think this video is meant for people who want to be social and 'fit in.'
I wonder what part of Naples they are in. The "snobbery" is a very common complaint unfortunately. But I agree that there are also many lovely people in Naples as well. I too agree that this tends to come from the more social aspects of the area. If they dont golf they will see less of that for sure.
In the Naples area you need to be closer to the 3 million dollar budget. Golf is not as popular as it used to be and those people tend to be more snobby. So are the people driving those $300k cars. Look for a community that has more sensible goals, like drinking!!!

Awesome video!!! Such honesty from a realtor is let's just say unusual. Thanks a million!
I appreciate that!
I love Naples! I moved from Massachusetts . 😊

Thanks Patti ❤
I laughed at the $600K budget, because I’m a physician in Naples and that was my budget for a house. I can’t afford to live anywhere near downtown.
