I agree. It was just a sarcastic jab at sonic x. Joking aside, I do honestly think that the sonic games have some pretty good writing, but they suffer in the gameplay. My favorite sonic media to date is the sonic comic that I followed for several years. The plot was interesting and I was genuinely invested in the characters. I would be interested to see other attempts to make more narrative media than just games, and the potential success of that can be seen from boom too. The boom game tanked immensely, the show and comic spinoff of it are genuinely entertaining.
