  • The final hour of Buddy Ryan's head coaching career is a dark and dismal one, as Ryan's Cardinals trail his worst enemy - the Dallas Cowboys - big at the half. Will Buddy inspire one last hurrah, or will the Cowboys stomp Buddy Ball into submission?
Al Michaels, Frank Gifford, and Dan Dierdorf call this final game of the 1995 regular season for ABC. Enjoy!

Incredibly this was the only time Dallas Cowboys truly blew away the Cardinals at Sun Devil Stadium.(even when the legendary 92 team visited the desert, that was a 16-10 game)

1:03:10 Buddy Ryan just standing there at the tunnel with 1 second left on the clock is too hiliarously awkward.

Buddy Ryan was an embarrassment as a Head Coach.

This was when everything started to break perfect for the Cowboys to win the Super Bowl:
    1) In order for them to win the division: Chicago had to beat Philadelphia (That happened).
    2) In order to get home field throughout the NFC Play-offs: Atlanta had to beat San Francisco and Dallas had to beat Arizona (Both happened).
    3) In the divisional round of the play-offs, Dallas wanted to play Philadelphia instead of Detroit (That happened).
    4) In the NFC Championship Game (For obvious reasons), Dallas wanted to play Green Bay instead of San Francisco (That happened).
    5) In the Super Bowl, Dallas wanted to face Pittsburgh instead of Indianapolis (That happened).
Not since the 1975-76 Boston Celtics had things broken so perfect in order for a team to win a championship.

Why would Dallas prefer Pittsburgh rather than Indy?

@@RedFoxAce I think the Cowboys felt they matched up better with the Steelers than they did with the Colts.

Neil O’Donnells 2 interceptions right to Larry Brown also helped . lol
Steelers held cowboys from the end of 2nd quarter to the end game to 46 yards in SB 30. Even Troy aikman thought they got lucky .
After that game cowboys were never the same the rest of the decade .

@@stevenjoyce5541 Excellent point, which shows why the Cowboys wanted to play the Steelers instead of the Colts. You're right. Dallas was never the same after they won that Super Bowl.

@@gobucsyanks6789 I seem to remember Nate Newton saying a few years ago that after Super Bowl XXX was over the feeling in the locker room afterwards was that their run as SB contending team was over with. Or to be more blunt, that they had shot their wad.
