Thank you! I ordered the part on Amazon for $20 and replaced it. The only thing I’d like to mention is the bolts were very tight and hard to get off! Other than that this was simple to fix
I’m having the opposite issue. My trunk randomly pops open. My guess though is because of my speakers, but I’ve had them in this car 4 years now and it just recently started happening. I’m wondering if it’ll stop with a new one
Here's the MOPAR part number if in case people were interested in what it is: 4589217AF The part he used was a Dorman 931-714 Trunk Lock actuator motor.
God bless you sir you saved me from the crooks at the dealership. I'm Having the same issues with my 2016 300s..dealership wants &150 plus tax just for a diagnosis then charge again for part and labor! No thanks will do it myself thanks to you.
This was really farming he looks like he wrong I really appreciate it but what is that part that you put in so I'll know if that is what I need is there a number that I'm going to have to look for before I get the part
Anyone know why certain trunk actuators don't line up correctly? I bought a cheaper one off Amazon and then an expensive doorman trunk actuator at AutoZone for my 2012 Chrysler 200. Neither one would line up correctly... easy part to replace but very frustrated now. Put original broken one back on and it lined up perfectly.

Don’t have the part number exactly. Sorry. A quick google search should bring it up or even at the parts store.
