- After a few months break, I'm back ticking off the Wainwright's in the Lake District for CK's Wainwright Challenge.
Another 6 ticked off today, bringing my total to 203 - 11 to go!
A mixture of hiking and trail running - it was very boggy which made the first few miles really tough going!
Enjoy :-)
Glad to to see you back enjoy your videos
Was only asking the other day if you were planning any videos, and as if by magic, here you are 😃good to have you back 👍
Good to see you’re back 👍
I really enjoyed this video and channel have a lovely weekend and 2023 debs xx........
Yo Claire...awesome to see you back and your smiling face moving along the trails!
great video, ive a cottage booked in longsleddale, at the beginning of February soon, so that's a great coincidence, and im looking forward to following that route - cheers Claire 😁
Enjoy! Hopefully the ground will have dried out a bit by then 😬 🤣
Good to see you back out Claire and a good effort for your first time out in a while, it looked hard work going through that bracken, Fleetwith Pike was Andrew Beavers last Wainwright, his You Tube video of it is worth watching of him completing his 214, I think he chose that one for the views from the summit.
Oh I'll check that out, thanks Howard.
Hi there have seen you on a couple of occasions up Rivi
Good to see you back and maybe again on my travels
Oh really? Next time, be sure to stop me and say hi! 😁
Great hike and video. Thank you for sharing. Wishing you atb. 👍
Good to see you back Claire. Great video again That looked a tough route. Ive done them all but did the shorter horseshoe Grey Crag, Tarn Crag, Kentmere Pike and Shipman Knotts. I parked at Sadgill where is usually enough space for 10 cars or by the bridge. Its a lovely valley
Thanks Tony - I'll remember Sadgill for Round 2!
Great film. Look forward to seeing you finish them. Ive five left and I am in turmoil deciding where to finish !!
Which 5 to go?
@@runningbritain Caw Fell, Slight Side, Kirk Fell, Whin Rigg and Illgill Head. An odd mix. Ive meant to do Caw Fell on three walks but time or weather always got me.
@John Lancaster oooh Caw Fell is a slog! Well it was when I did it from Ennerdale. Kirk Fell would be a good one, or Illgil and Whin Rigg. I haven't done Slight Side yet - that's on my to do list!
I’m determined it won’t be caw fell 😂
Good Effort Claire, these were some of the early ones I did when I climbed the wainwrights.
Have you decided which your last one will be? Mine was Helm Crag, which was easy apart from climbing the howitzer at the summit which was very tricky, not long now, it’s a wonderful feeling once you complete them 😊good luck 🙏
Fleetwith Pike will be the last one. I like Helm Crag, but I didn't climb to the top of the Howitzer - do I need to go back and redo this? 🤣
@@runningbritain well that’s for you to decide lol AW didn’t do it 😅 Fleetwith Pike Is an excellent choice, incredible summit, do it from Gatesgarth, I saw someone walk it as their last from the slate mine, which is like starting half way up 😂 you’re close now 🤞
Well done big day that . I only did 4 Grey Crag Tarn Crag Kentmere and Shipman and I was knackered ha ha . Drive right to the end of the road there a bit of parking at Sadgill and it shortens the route . 11 to go what's 214 ?
It's going to be Fleetwith Pike 😊
@Adventurer Claire good choice that has an excellent view .
