I really like how you do these walking tours and highlight different properties along the way omw. I’m kinda a history geek, so this is right up my alley. Thank you for your work!!
It would be interesting to know if any celebrity or movie industry peoples names were noted on the bottom of the screen as you pass by the homes. Not necessary but would be interesting to know.
If you turn on the closed caption in this video. The information comes up for when I walk to a celebrity home. I've also timestamped it. Let me know if it's something else you wanted and I'll try to add that in . 😊
I''ve been there as a tourist. Surprised to see windows and door at street level whitout prootection and cars left outside. And nobody walks, like a ghost place.Inconceivable in Italy
I assume it's because they have 24-hour security and security cameras throughout Beverly Hills. Hope you enjoyed your visit as a tourist! Where in Italy? Some day I would love to visit there!
@@Omwvlog Thanks for your answer. You say they have 24 hour security, but i remember Manson murders in Polansky house in 1969. I live in Napoli, I enjoyed USA (i 've been three times) but the way of living is very different.Except very large cities, cities look like ghost cities, nobody walks in the street.,As if I had perceived an absence of sociality. Thanks for your interest and I apologize for my English
Yah I don't know exactly what entails for 24 hour security. I think it's just a security patrol car. Napoli must be a beautiful city to live in! I've seen videos and definitely a place I'd love to visit.
@@Omwvlog Yes, foreigners like it a lot, especially Americans. Because it's different. The reason why I like LA, and especially Naples is very cheap, unlike the USA. And above all it's not very dangerous, unless you go around with a Rolex on your arm.😅
At 14:35 from what I have read this is the house that Miss Turners friend Johnny S met his end in a upstairs bedroom . I guess old Merv really liked the features of this house .
You mentioned Frank Sinatra but where was his final house? I believe he and his wife Barbara lived in a much smaller home the final months of his life. The morning he complained of chest pains and was taken by ambulance to Cedar's Sinai Hospital where he passed away several hours later, his final words being "I'm Losin'"... :( Apparently his wife didnt notify his three grown children of his passing until after...was that out of spite? His funeral was held at that same church of the Good Shepherd in BH before his coffin was transported by Lear jet to Palm Springs where he was finally put to rest...that was truly the end of an era.. the Rat Pack was officially gone, with Sammy Davis Jr and Dean Martin passing away before Sinatra...it was fitting that the "Chairman Of The Board" was the last man standing...
I believe the home in this video was a rental for him. Frank and Barbara was a client of my partners' at the time of Frank's final months of his life. They lived in a large mansion on Foothill Rd. I remember visiting the home a few months before his passing. Never met Frank since he was bedridden. But met Barbara during that one visit. I can include that home in another video, but I remember it being pretty much not visible due to the high hedges. Barbara didn't have a good relationship with the adult children. I think they hated each other so what you said seems possible. I remember seeing clips on the news of the funeral at the Good Shepherd church and seeing celebrities like Susan Summers there. Wow I was so young when this happened! Definitely an end of an era.
There's still no way to "play all" on the videos section. I used to like letting them run not knowing what would come up next but now I can only do this in a specific category. Can you change it back?
Hi Philip, I think the UA-cam might have removed that function and the only way you can "play all" now is thru the playlist on my channel. I tried doing more research and a lot of others seemed to have had that same problem.
@@Omwvlog Hi, yes it's happened to a lot others but not all for some reason. I think the worst effect of this is that the whole content can't now be scrolled through to pick a video or to check content. I now have to pick a category. Don't know why they did this.
At 45:42 was that a Tesla ? You would think that even if is a rich area you would have that car in the back in a garage and not right there near the street . Near the end Good Shepard Catholic Church the church of old time actress Loretta Young among other celebrities .
Yah that was a Tesla truck. Did you see the red Ferrari parked on street and the other Ferrari parked on the driveway? I'd want all these cars parked in a garage too! Frank Sinatra's funeral was at the Good Shepard Catholic Church
What happens when a homeowner does not maintain his front yard, has a dirty sidewalk, or adds an extension to his house that does not follow the original architectural style of his house? Are they fined for that? Who controls and oversees that neighborhoods are well maintained in your country?
I'm not sure about landscaping. But extensions and restructuring normally requires permits from the city and county for approval. Also if a building is certified as a historic landmark; changes are unable to be made. Controlling of neighborhoods are dependent on where the home is. Could be a Homeowner's Association, the city and/or county, and some times state.
In Latin America, it is customary to build in an anarchic way, because the controls are very low, except for Chile, which is a country that embraced the neoliberal economic model where it is much more regulated and orderly developed. I really like how you build and plan your neighborhoods, with wide streets and sidewalks, and many green areas, in addition to the super large plots of land per house, you can measure them using Google Earth, and with very large houses, the middle class neighborhoods are very orderly and clean. I like quiet neighborhoods without noise, I think it is disrespectful for neighbors to make loud noise and disturb, here in Latin America that is not respected much. From what I see in your architecture, you have a lot of German influence in your country, it must be because of the more than 80 million descendants of Germans that the United States has, it is the largest diaspora of Germans in the world. How far is it from Beverly Hills to Laguna Beach by car?
This might impress some people but its nothing to the residences found in Saudi arabia or Dubai you can find thousands of homes in Riyadh of same size or larger than this. So I`m no longer impressed by this like people were in the 80`s.

Ooo I'm glad to hear you're enjoying them! I'll continue to make more and perhaps include other historical sites . 😊
That was a fun time! Thank you for the walk 😎👍

Wow those are some huge homes. I bet they can afford maids and servents. 😊Have a nice weekend.
Yes! I bet they can! Heard some of these homeowners have a full staff. Thank you! Hope you do to!

Please do a walking tour of Tower Road. Thank You.
Thanks for the request! I'll do that one soon!😊

Yah I just realized that when you brought it to my attention. It's disappointing that YT removed that feature.
Can you show me Paul's Mc Cartney's home? Please?😊
Hey Mario sure will do!

How far is it from Beverly Hills to Laguna Beach by car?
Approximately 1.5 hours depending on traffic
Why in the United States, houses don't have front and side fences, like in Latin America...?!
It depends on the neighborhood. Most homes do have side fences. Front fences are not common. I don't know why that is.
This might impress some people but its nothing to the residences found in Saudi arabia or Dubai you can find thousands of homes in Riyadh of same size or larger than this. So I`m no longer impressed by this like people were in the 80`s.
It's not meant for everyone and that's okay. Thanks for watching!
Why aren't the Haitians sent here?
