Specialized or generalized = inhouse or agency = work 8h a day or until you are done = Family or not = make slow progress or rush experience = make allways the same or do every month a new genre = stay in your field or have much more responsobility and at least: be payed good or get less.. :)
damn, are they asking now "where do you see yourself in 20-25 years" instead of 5 years? :D World is reeeeeeally fast :) Thank you, John. This is a really cool concept!

Hey John, I got an interesting question for you. When you design a product, till what point are you involved with it? Do you prefer to be there till the final launch and even beyond or just prefer being the ideas guy or anywhere between/beyond these limits?
I prefer to see it through from very beginning all the way to product launch and beyond. But it really comes down to my availability and the client's needs.
Super useful video, i'm about to graduate in july and i'm job hunting right now. I got an offer to do an internship in a well-kown furniture design studio, but it's non-paid. what is your opinion about that? Should i take it for the experience?
This is highly subjective and situational. Only you can determine what is right for you. I did take on an unpaid internship at the very beginning of my career before I had graduated, but I kind of wish I had spent more time to find a paid one.
This is by far the most asked and most doubtful question among students. Thank you for addressing thst
Thank you for watching!
So thankful for this video! I’m a recent industrial designer grad and am applying now to places.
More vids coming soon :)

Christopher, you should design mechanical watches. Those are mostly designed and built to last 100+ years.
Take notes, Christopher!
This is a great idea for a series

Is there a Solar Punk branch of industrial design?
No but you can make one!
@@Design.Theory Unfortunately, I'm specialized in the cyper-punk/post-apocalyptical design aesthetic quadrants.
