    Excellent presentation- clear and extremely educational. Well done! I have been using this Powerline AV1000 network extender and they have performed flawlessly for me in connecting my modem in the basement to my main computer and wireless router upstairs. I have a third module on the mid-floor connected to my Roku.

      Forget game streaming/high speed NAS, this is a 4K Netflix fix _for which vid buffering WILL smooth over a network glitch or two_ : This is not a reliable, low-latency network interface suitable for all applications. Run it across circuit breakers on old wiring, and it might not even be 'nuf for 4K Netflix - depends on the house.

      Thanks. I think you're talking about this video: ua-cam.com/video/2MT0O2--iKM/v-deo.html
      You can use the same SSID but it is not recommended. In short, the device searches for a WIFI connection without looking at the strength of the signal so it might connect to the weaker signal but, if you have different SSIDs, you can choose to which one to connect depending on your location.

      @user-lh1wr9sr8m Рік тому

      Tamjid, unless your phone has an ethernet connection (I've never seen one that does), no it's not possible. Any device you desire to use directly with an EoP adapter requires an ethernet NIC.
      What you can do for wireless, however, is use this to plug in a Wireless Access Point in the room you would like to have better cellphone internet connectivity. This way, you could have a much better wifi signal depending on the building. To set it up, do like in this video except plug the side that he plugs into his TV into your Wireless Access Point instead. You can also buy hardware that does this all in one, like "NETGEAR Powerline 500 + WiFi Access Point (XWNB5201)".
      If you mean, "can I charge my phone with this", the answer is no. You can't charge your phone with a EoP ethernet adapter, that's not what it's for.

    Does anyone know if you can use two different pairs of adapters in the same house? 4x total, 2 different pairs (of same brand)

    Even my old AV600 is faster than this AV1000. You need to use proper cables cat6 or even better cat7... sometimes "tesco" quality cat6 is worse than a good quality cat5, get good cables! go in the local store and make them cut the length you need, buy the most expensive cable few $ per meter isn't a big price for 300-400Mbit instead of 93Mbit

      Many televisions cap speed at 100mbs. They don't do gigabit. That is why good wireless usually beats out wired to a tv. I can test out at 410mb on wireless on my Roku tv but no more that 95mb wired. all other wired devices hit 440mb max I can get.

    Fake device. In one socket set tpPLC utility shown speed 850 Mbit/s - it's maximum. Other socket in the same room 300 Mbit/s... Other room only 120 Mbit/s.

    4:15 - you do realize that is the speed of the link between the TV itself and the adapter, NOT the connection speed between the two adapters throughout the power grid!. 🤦‍♂
    To find out the connection speed of your TV through the power grid Ethernet adapters you need to test the Internet speed of your TV over the competing connection options..

    I'm sorry to say, but you test the speed of a Gigabit powerline adaptor in your 100Mbps home network. That's a silly idea, you are measuring your local network speed. And that is 100Mbps, it's a quite slow. You should invest a little in a Gigabit routers/swithces/HUB's with CAT5a ethernet cable, this is not expensive in 2023.
    The real question would be, can you get 1000Mbps with the powerline adaptor as they advertise it? Other comments say "very informative" - I say very non-informative. You checked that your powerline adaptor works/doesn't work, and you measured your own home WAN speed that I don't care. Other commenters are interested though.

    Funny how the TV calls 10 mbps excellent but 93 mbps is just "good". lol
