@@AlbertoGutierrez-zv1lo they haven’t announced it yet but most likely in a couple weeks. The algae was pretty bad at the lake though. I hope that doesn’t affect the stock.

Yeah that algae was really bad. I’m just hoping it doesn’t affect the next stock. With all this heat this weekend I’m sure it’s going to get a little worse.
Love seeing people catch fish. I am recuperating from knee surgery so watching lots of youtube fishing channels. That guy who went in all the way to get your fish is a true sportsman, yes MVP. I have put Diamond lake on my bucket list. I want to catch a big one and a Lightening trout. Thanks.
Same here, seeing the excitement when people are reeling in the fish gets me pumped too. Yes that guy who helped me out was definitely the MVP. I was bummed because I lost a few big fish before that one but that fish definitely made up for it. I hope you recover soon so you can get back out on the water. Your chances are pretty good catching a big one at DVL. The lightning trout are still a little elusive but definitely possibly. Better luck on the first day after the stock for the lightning. I didn’t see much lightning trout anymore after that. Thanks for always watching the videos. Really appreciate it. 🎣
Thanks bro. I’m looking forward to the next stock. Hopefully the algae doesn’t mess things up. I do like the left side because of that reason though. Definitely less crowds.
Yo son!!! Great catch and big ups to that dude for grabbin it for you!!! At first I was like dude is going to scare it off by going in there, but then he grabbed it and I was like "Yeah Son!" lol
Nice video kary without your lady to show you up hahahaha JP you didn’t get skunked that’s a hard lake on foot I ended up going to Prado Lake in Corona same day you were at DVL and I landed my first trout since a long time and it was my PB 6lbs keep the videos coming you both are An INSPIRATION 👍😎🎣
Lol yeah she does show me up all the time though 😆. Congrats on your PB! I tried out prado for the first time on Thursday but it was slow for me. They ended up stocking the next day. Thanks for the positive vibes and for watching! 😁🎣
Like your videos...you ever think about wearing hip waders. ? Also maybe try to use a survival wire saw.. one end each tied between two poles... Learn to cast one in each hand together or with your BFF ..past those snags... Saw away snags in your area. I'd find it fun to try if I still lived in SoCal .. in AZ retired now. Take care... I'm a sub always waiting for new uploads.
Thank you for watching! That sounds like an intriguing idea with the wire saw. Those bushes always seem to get in the way when I’m tied into a decent fish. The hip waders do sound like a great idea. I’ll look into that. Thanks! 😁🎣
That sucks to lose big ones. He is a real MVP for you for sure. But be careful not to be caught by their ranger, DVL site clearly says no human contact of the water, that's why they don't allow float tube and wading there.
It's definitely time to get back into fishing. Let me share a funny story with you. I recently bought a sport fishing license and told the lady I also wanted an Ocean Enhancement Stamp. She was probably thinking..."what stamp", LOL....that tells you it's been a long while since I've gone fishing. Dude you posted some nice fishing videos from pier to the Sierras and this DVL|MVP video got me motivated. I've dusted off all my fishing gear and will head out to DVL in February. Keep posting more videos whether you had a good day/bad day of fishing, ."A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work." Hey any suggestions when I head out to DVL (this will be my first time fishing DVL) Mahalo brah!
Thanks, we appreciate you watching. It’s never a bad time to get back into fishing! Fishing in the sierras is definitely our all time favorite. Im just waiting for DVLs stocking announcement in February too. A lot of the fishing like to hang out in the coves after a stock. The right side (when facing the lake) is usually more popular but you can catch fish on both sides. The lines can get pretty crazy there if you go the day right after they stock. The fish pretty much stay right along the shore so you will see them swimming by all the time. We’ve had a lot of success with mini jigs but they do also bite good on powerbait. Good luck out there. Maybe we will see you out on the lake one day.
Yeah the algae was pretty thick when I was there. It’s going to be hot for the next few days too so I might get worse. Were you guys targeting trout or stripers?
1 poll with 6lb & 1 poll with 4lb Berkley Vanish line. I use the 6Lb mostly for throwing cast masters. But it works well. Great job and Great Video, Thanks for sharing
Yeah it's been about almost 5 months now since we went fishing, all our attention went to our newborn baby girl. I'm planning to get out there again soon though! Thanks for checking up on us. Hope all is well with you!
Thanks brotha. I appreciate you watching the vids. I’ve actually been making them myself lately. Just been messing around with different color combinations. I caught the big one on a black and greenish color mini jig.
I just keep a big trash bag in my backpack. Whenever I move spots I’ll put it in there and take it back out and in the water when I get to the new spot. Heading out there for the opener?
True. The fish seem to like to hang around the coves and some points. Most of the time I just put on my polarized glasses and start walking along the shoreline until I see them. I do get skunked too so I know how that feels.
@@cali_misfit1387 Sounds good will do. We do want to get back out to big bear. Just haven’t really seen many reports lately. Hopefully the fishing picks up soon out there.
The first few coves on the right side (when facing the lake) are usually hot areas to fish. It gets packed quick at those spots though. They seem to like to hangout in areas like that. I’ve had most my luck on mini jigs but when it’s slow I’ll throw out a powerbait close to shore. Are you fishing out there this week?
