Thanks for watching! They should be stocking again towards the end of the year when it cools down. They usually stock a good amount of rainbows and lightning trout around that time. Tight lines! 🎣

They got another decent plant, got some buddies that killed it out there. Fun video dude. As for your question, I caught them first where they are native now in Utah ..but they are called Albino Trout. "Lightning Trout" is just a marketing term given to them in the last few years to sell to lakes here in SoCal. They are fun fish to catch, fight a little different than bows and such. Nice edits on this one as always.

Man my buddies went to Diamond Valley last week. I was gonna go but the rain on Tuesday set me back on work so I had to finish framing some walls and couldn’t go. They said it was awesome. Definitely where I’m going next!
Did you end up going this past week? I heard a lot of fish were dead from the last stock. We haven’t made it out there yet for this season.

Cam you share where you guys were fishing at diamond lake, I've always wanted to fish there and now you are giving me more motivation to ho there, THANKS👍👍👍👍
Your best shot at catching some nice trout would be right after they stock the lake. They usually stock once a month and sometimes even twice a month. In this video we were on the left side of the lake (when you are facing the lake). The right side is a really popular area as well. There’s more coves on the right side. A lot of the trout like to hide out in the coves after a stock but also swim back and forth along the shoreline. Good luck! Thanks for watching!

Logan Netherton Fishing The only place we caught them so far is diamond valley lake. They usually start to stock the lightning trout when it cools down. They also stock them at Santa Ana river lakes, hemet and lakes in San Diego. The lakes normal announce it when they start to stock.

Congrats guys is the area you fished far from the parking I haven’t fished there probably in about 10 years or so but the popular spots were the first 2 coves
This area wasn’t too far. About 5 minutes on the left side. The first 2 coves on the right side are still the popular spots. All the fish seem to like to hang out in those coves. 🎣

why are the boaters all over the bank fishermen areas? They have the entire lake to fish.
Yeah it gets pretty bad at this lake. I’ve seen a lot of arguments because of that reason.
Rules should include 100 yard clearance from designated shore fishing areas. As shore anglers are limited where they can fish to only specific shorelines.
@@MavHntr Very true. I think they are stated but no one enforces it. There’s a lot of instances where boats literally pull up right in front of you and you can literally lob the bait/lure in their boat.
what size berkley jig did yall use?
1/32 oz on most of the jigs we use.

No problem! We appreciate you watching the videos. We usually use 4lb test p-line floroclear and tie it straight to the mini jig. Recently switched over to 2lb test izor line xxx. Can’t go wrong with the 4lb test though.

Mike Gonzales No weight above the mini jig. The mini jig itself is 1/32 oz. We did however use a Carolina set up on the mice tail for the lightning trout. 😁🎣

Yup you sure are. They usually start stocking the trout in the colder months. Rainbow and lightning trout.
Have you ever guys used the Mini Jig Pinhead setup they have for Bass Pro Shops it comes with like a hundred and five pieces do you know anything about them

Daniel Lee thank you! It’s been once a month and they announce it on their Facebook page “Diamond valley marina”. Usually on a Tuesday and you can fish them starting Wednesday. I heard the next trout stock is the last one..

What side of the lake is this ?
Alexis DeAlba left side (facing the lake) but it got pretty dead after the morning. Saw some people coming back with big ones from the other side.
Generally the right side has a lot more trout as they don't have to swim nearly as far to get to the left. But the right side also has more people - makes sense as that's where the majority of the fish are (other than the dock where you cannot fish...)
