Another case I saw involved a cop that ran a person's plates to find out where they lived and got all the info on their lives, and he was fired. What's the difference having a machine running thousands of plates a day without people being under suspension of a crime. The law needs a reason to interact with you. Just like they can't just walk up to you and ask for I.D.. They need a reason. That reason has to be more than they just want to I.D. you.
