Thank you!! It's so cool to see how far I've come since the early training days where it was hard to get into the routine of all 3 disciplines and now it's not so bad 😅 And yes omg company makes a huge difference!! I can't remember if you mentioned this before but are you training for a triathlon any time soon?

@@EMELYNJADE I’m definitely training for triathlons but have nothing on the calendar for now. I have a 5k and a 10 miler in April that are taking the focus for now! Hopefully this summer FL triathlons in warm water are the best!

As per the other comment, you need to get a special tyre for that drum trainer. It will shred your tyre and will be a puncture or blow out risk when you're out on the road. You can get them complete with a wheel. You and your fiance will be able to share it if your bike set ups are similar so it is cost effective especially when you consider the cost of you both replacing tyres or worse, puncturing during your race. That would suck! Keep up the good work! 👍

Can I ask what brand is the special tire? I’m curious for me cause I have the same trainer!

Thank you! Your explanation was extremely helpful! And +1 to what @noelle8301 asked as I'm also wondering

Thanks for sharing this content! I'm participating in my first 70.3 in BC this August and also using the Mottiv app! It is so nice to hear your perspective through training.

If the course has rolling hills in it, then it should help if you back off a little on the uphill side, to not blow up and coast down the backsides. Instead, keep the momentum on the way down makes then next uphill should be easier. Use the force if you will, aka momentum in this case :)

What training plan are you using or do you have a coach? I signed up for my first 70.3 in September and am lost on what training plan to use 😂 Also, I am loving these videos!! Parts of it I feel like I’m on FaceTime, and it’s so nice to watch while on the indoor bike or treadmill. Good luck in the rest of your training :))

Aw thank you for this! Appreciate the kinds words 😊 And I'm currently using a training plan through this app called Mottiv (it's somewhat personalized by keeping your running zones in mind - it'll prompt you to put in some of your recent race times). I wanted something a bit more affordable than the coach and I find this was one of the better plans/apps. The only downside is that you have to make sure you keep yourself accountable since you don't have a coach to push you 😅

You need a specific tire for the trainer.
